Today grief won over jealousy

Many of us wanted the engagement of Khushi to be revelaed to Arnav to make him jealous. But today instead of jealousy what struck him first was the shock of losing Khushi forever . He is devasttaed at that thought ,

I know he will control himself and will be jealous and will want to know who the damned man is.

But today those things are not important .

What is most important is the fact that he is losing her -he has stopped breathing and his world has come to an end .

No Arnav - do not let her go , hold her , fall at her feet and churn out your bleeding heart and present it on your loves feet . For a passionate lover like you it belongs there and her heart should be cradled in your arms for ever .

I know it will take some time for you to do that but I also know that you will do it one day . .

More than jealousy, I have a feeling it will be his protective nature that will come to the fore. Case in point, the hand he placed on her head is symbolic of protection. I think he has sensed she is in some kind of trouble. The "Kya kar rahi ho tum", did he mean why are you trying to hurt yourself?

Also, when she cried during the sorry; I think he sensed the sudden change in her behavior. He didn't change his tone because he saw tears but he sensed she was hurting, not over the self respect thing but much more deeper.

I don't know why I think the sizing of the ring will play a role in Shyam's ouster. Both Buaji & Shyam will insist on resizing the ring & I think either Anjali or ASR will see them together.

yea i think he will find out that khushi is not happy with this engagement and that she is being forced. he cant see her in pain... her pain her tears always override any anger and ego he has. he will come to safe her from this. like he did when she was sad abt her dad.

I don't think Arnav will have jealousy issues in terms of competition. He won't feel as though he would have to compete to be the better guy, but as Sari said, he will feel possessive over Khushi. He will want Khushi to be with him and no one else as he feels that him and Khushi are supposed to be together. We already see he can't quite grasp the concept of Khushi being engaged to another guy.

HI. I don't think he can read her so well thus far. In my opinion he will be nursing his own wounds and will close up further. I really want that Shyam disclosure to happen now. That cloud has been looming far too long . What do u say ?

Isnt it strange how we each one os us interpret differently ?.

That is the strength of this serial .

That is the strenth of Arnav - Khushi relationship .

I am hoping that he figures out there is an issue here VERY soon and start to unravel things!

He LOVES her and I think even HE cant deny it now... and SHE must have a clue about it too! So it's going to be pretty tough going for some weeks now with engagement prep and marraige prep and the two "Zinda laashe's" walking around... SOMETHING has got to give!

That..."Farak padta hain... kyunki..." was enough for Arnav to know he has at least PARTIALLY given himself away!

NOW whatever he says after this wont mean anything! He told her to not get any "Galat matlab" from him keeping her anklet! Now WHAT "Galat matlab" is she going to get out of his emmotional outburst at the news of her engagement? He can't handle the thought of HIS Khushi with anyone else! He cant even GRASP the concept! This has NEVER even occured to him that SHE has a life outside of her time with the Raizada's and him... and there may be things he does not know about her, or her life!

When he announced marraige to La... he SAW her eyes full of tears... before she put on a mask! However... HE was unable to put on a mask when he heard HER news... he may try to put it on now, by saying set a date for HIS engagement too...but we all know those are just words at this point!

His REAL feelings are crystal clear! Now the question is... is he man enough to do something about them? Is the mighty ASR going to let the love of his life walk off to the sunset with another man? Or will he in true ASR style claim what is his, and write his own destiny?

Lets wait and see!

Great post Su... I don't know why anyone thought it would be jealousy. Today's devastation had been building up for months.

Yes, it was very clear that he sensed there was something more going on with her than just the self-respect issue. He was not baffled at her behavior, just slowly realized that all was not well. Also, his reaction to that was different from his usual reaction to her pain. He actually moved towards her and stopped her from doing it, very gently.

And I agree with everyone who said he will not be jealous of the other guy... I don't think he will initially but he might ask her (or demand to know) if she loves the other man, because in his pain, competition is irrelevant for him, he is after all a very confident guy and exceptionally possessive (His rant at her for not telling him, as if he had every right to know, and ignoring the fact that now that he DID know, he was not liking it one bit. 😆) There will be anger, dark, brooding anger, and suppressed rage, which I want to see play out. This guy cannot reach the declaration point till every single layer has been peeled off.

I am not sure..i have never seen arnav thinking of khushi's behavior as analysis...he just has his mind set in one direction...he is not trying to rationalize things. He just come to conclusions directly..thats his nature. So to understand khushi's emotions when she said sorry or he said "kya kar rahi ho tum?? does not make sense to him. If he is sensing that much or understanding properly ..he would have questioned him first that he himself told her that it means nothing to him. He and family is in process of engagement and marriage with La. If he is thinking and sensing feelings, then he could have seen that khushi is so close to his family and with this relationship, khushi will not stab lavanya. Arnav needs to realize that he is hurting La, enough. He needs to be mature and think that how come khushi will put step forward since he is still with La.

That's exactly the point. He NEVER saw any of it, blinded by his fear, which he convinced himself was hatred he felt (for her.) But, he realized a lot of things today, like it all came crashing down on him or something. And, even if he shows anger and becomes irrational, that's expected. He has tremendous will and it only ever breaks when he sees her unable to deal with her pain. When he announced his marriage to La, he justified it to himself, not realizing how deep Khushi's pain ran. But, today his pain was almost blinding and he actually asked her the question she could have asked him (or that he really should have asked himself) at the Diwali announcement "What are you doing?"
