"Khushi..wake up Khushi.."Payal called Khuashi who was in deep sleep.
Khushi woke up from her sleep.
"Oh di..why did you wake me up?I was dreaming..it was such a sweet dream.I met my husband".
Payal was shocked.
"Husband?But you are not married".
"I meant my future husband".
Payal giggled.
"You are crazy.Anyways we all are getting prepared for Karvachaut".
"So you are fasting for Akash jeeju.Right?"Khushi asked her with a naughty smile.
Payal blushed.
"I am also fasting",Khushi said.
Payal was shocked.
"For whom?"
"For my future husband",Khushi smiled.
"Are you mad Khushi?Who will break your fast?"
"Di..why did God introduce my future husband to me in today's dream itself?That means he will come tonight to break my fast.I am sure that tonight i will meet him and he will break my fast also".
Khushi was confident.
"You are not in your senses.Even if you meet him tonight why would he break your fast tonight?He may not be knowing you properly".
"Whatever you say di.I have confidence".
"Nonsense".
Payal was irritated.
Husbands and boyfriends of all the girls in their colony broke their fast at night.
Khushi's eyes searched for her man.But she was disappointed as no one came to break her fast.But she was not willing to accept failure.
"Tomorrow i will go to the temple and pray to God to show me fast.Till then i won't eat anything.He has to break my fast".
Khushi was stubborn and adamant.
The next morning she went to the temple and prayed to God,
"God..if you had no plan to show my future husband to me why did you show me that dream yesterday?Please show me to him and break my fast".
Khushi walked backward to go back home.She felt sad as her dream guy did not approach her at the temple.While walking she became very weak as she had been starving since last morning.
"Oh God!What's happening to me?I can't walk.My head is aching like hell".
She was losing her consciousness.She was about to fall down.A man held her hand tightly
and prevented her from falling down.She was unconscious.
"My God!"
He carried her in his arms.
She rested her head on his chest.He looked at her face.
Then walked towards a corner.
He placed her down.He ran to the car and took the water bottle to sprinkle water on her face to wake her up.Then he sprinkled water on her face.
Her lips moved.
"Water..."
He fed her water.
Slowly she opened her eyes.
"Are you ok?"
He asked her.
Slowly her vision became clear.
She was surprised as he was the man who appeared in her dream.
She smiled at him.
He also smiled at her.
"Actually you fainted.I got scared.I did'nt know what to do.I fed you water.Are you not well?"He said.
"No..actually i was taking Karvachaut vrath".
"You are married?"He asked her.
"No",she replied.
"So you fasted for your boy friend?"He asked her.
"No.I don't have a boy friend",she replied.
"Then for whom did you fast?"He was confused.
"For my dream man".
Her reply made him laugh.
"So funny.That's why you could'nt break your fast.Your dream man did'nt come yet.Right?"He made fun of her.
"My fast did'nt become a waste.Don't you remember what happened a few moments back?You only broke my fast".
Khushi's words made him serious.He became conscious of the situation.
Slowly she smiled,"You are my dream man..the same person whom i met in my dream.God brought you to me to break my Karvachaut vrath".
He was just staring at her eyes.
His serious face made her upset.
"I am sorry.I spoiled your mood.My crazy thoughts drove you crazy.Right?Forget it.Bye".
She moved from him.
She was about to fall again.He held her tightly.They were very close to each other.
She could not face him.He looked at her seriously.
Slowly she looked at his face.Slowly he smiled.She was relieved.
She smiled back.
"You may be right.This is God's plan to make us meet each other",he said.
They smiled at each other.
They got lost in each others eyes.
