coming back to the topic: i really liked the way you have explained Arnavs point of view. it was very hard for him to talk about his mother and be accepting of the fact that she wouldnt approve of what he is now. i htink that is the thing that makes them different. it has been easy for Khushi to stick to the positive, happy and traditional route because she constructed a constant communication network where she believes that she is being watched by her parents and Devi Maya so she has to do what will make them proud. Arnav on the other hand has no one to make proud, no one looking over him and no one to be answerable to, which is why he is where he is but he now realises that he has lost everything that was dear to his mother along the way... therefore losing his mother all over again. see i believe that a little bit of our parents resides in all of us, we share the same quirks and habits without knowing it. Khushi has thrived on those while Arnav has abandoned (unknowingly) his connection...
i know none of what i've typed makes any sense but thats what you get for not having a distracting cat: verbal diarrhoea
