he knew she would have never run into his arms the way she had otherwise! He knew, she had been shaken and distraught. He also knew what her babuji meant to her. Mostly importantly he knew, he had to somehow get her out of this state. Khushi Kumari was the weirdest specimen he had ever met, but he still had grown extremely fond of her. he would never admit it to her, but she impacted him. real bad. well, he didnt want to get into that now.
So knowing full well, that she would be cribbing and crying to her Devi Maiyya, and asking her give her babuji back, he smiled at her innocence. How could someone have so much faith in a life less figure. He had been amused many times in the past by the fact that she spoke to her Devi maiyya and the conversations she had with her, had actually made him wonder how someone can have such an animated conversation with someone when there was no reaction from the otherside!
He had talked to the doctors, who had told him, Babuji was still in danger, but an operation could save him! After her realization that she had hugged ASR, and found comfort in his arms, Khushi suddenly broke out of the trance on hearing his mobile ring! He hadnt changed the tone sicne that day, since it had otherwise always been on silent! Naam Jalebi Bai ..., somehow changed her mood, she felt a sense of distraction, as she smiled for the first time... And then she looked at him, and ran away ! Now that Babuji's operation had been taken care of, he knew he had to attend to someone else!! why he felt the need to do it he didnt know... But he knew he did .. and then, he made a phone call...
Khushi had been sitting on one of the hospital benches ... Silent, her eyes swollen ... She obviously hadnt slept all night, and had been worried for her babuji !!! Right now Khushi, needed a diversion and a man like ASR didnt know how to handle situations like this .. his di was easy to win over! She didnt let her anger or bad mood to linger on for too long !! While he looked at her cherubic face... feeling for her, a bunch of men arrived... in front of them, and made quick arrangements in front of Khushi who was lost in her own world ! It was only when they had set it all up did she look up to notice the commotion, and asked them... "yeh kya hai ... "
One of the men said ... "aapko jalebiyan banani thi na, toh ...hum yeh leke aa gaye ..."
Kh: hume? nahi toh? Humne toh kisi se nahi kaha ...
Man: hum nahi jaante maam, lekin, hume jo bataya gaya hai, humne woh kiya... ab hum chalte hai ...
Khushi looked around ... there was no one in sight ... who could have done this for her? There was one name coming to her mind, and her heart wished it were the same, but she didn't have the guts to say it out!!!! Why did she have to go hug him of all the people ... She started talking to herself again...
Hey Devi maiyya, hume kya ho gaya tha, hume koi aur nahi mila tha kya .. aise hum ... she was too embarrased to even say it ... and in that moment of confusion and tension, she took the cloth, made a could, put some dough into it, and started making Jalebis... one after another... recollecting every moment that occurred in the last few days !! She was angry with him, she made an angry face, then his behavior amused him, she made a confused face, as she thought of different things, she made all sorts of faces... reflecting and reacting each time to her varied emotions about the Rakshas and the Laad Governor... when at one point, she asked herself... Why he effected her so much ... Kahin Hume Unse ...
And she stopped instantly shocked, as she bit into a Jalebi and the thought sunk in that she have started to feel something for him... and her heart started beating fast faster and faster !!! As she took control over her heart, Payal came running to her saying ... "Khushi chal.. Babuji ko hosh aa gaya hai ... woh tere liye pooch rahey hai ... "
Khushi sat up in an instant ... Running away ... to meet her Babuji, when she see's Arnav Singh Raizada Standing there by the edge of the wall, with his hands folded staring at her. She didnt know for how long he had been at it ! but for now she had to run! Khushi couldnt help but stop for a second,and return a look- and then she went ahead to meet her father!
To Arnav Singh Raizada, the stern faced man, it was mission accomplished, he finally could leave for home!
