OMG, so so agree with this highlighted point. I would love to see Arnav irk Khushi into some kind of rage and then tell her 'now, didn't that feel good.'

I simply hate the 'holier than thou' stereotype of women in serials. We are not perfect, so stop portraying us as devis. And on the flip side what I find equally annoying, is portraying the woman who is ambitious as the vamp, evil one, totally without conscience. Give me a break.

hey there momma!😆

Ummm a bit of stereotyping is always expected in any work of fiction, be it books, movies or tv shows. BUT when there's just way too much of stereotyping, then that gets monotonous and well GENERIC, if you know what i mean.
Female leads on indian telly are shown to be way too idealistic and preachy which definitely does not reflect the reality no matter how much the producers, writers or actors claim that it does. Same goes with the male characters! They are shown to be demanding a "reform" from their female counterpart. Ummm it ends up happening as well so easily.
One other thing about these stereotyped female leads is that they are always shown to be wearing traditional clothes to depict how principled and cultured they are. Well there are females who dress contemporary and still are principled and cultured. Do they really need to over impose the "goodness" factor of the female lead by making her all preachy and dressing her in the stereotypical attire?

@Amy and Momma 😆 ( you gotta forgive me.. but everytime I hear Roshesh from Sarabhai in my head with yer ID).. ok randomness apart I agree whole heartedly at the stereotypes.. Why show ambitious women in skirts as negative and vampish.. like its a sin to want to have an ambition.. and if our holy heroine does manage to have some.. it will be rather mediocre.. like playing a secretary.. and that too.. she will drop it in the name of sacrificing for love or family. .really WHO does that.. and in reality.. one's love or family would get offended if anything at such sacrifices.. at least where I come from..

so dont give us the we r very different characters. no you are not.. you are like 46767497 others.. at least the makers can be honest.. saying there is nothing new.. but we will still try to make it entertaining and fresh.. like seriously.. no one ever says that... maybe if someone did the audience may at least be more curious.. coming from sincere makers etc.. too much to ask apparently.. moreoever they get upset if someone tells them this is a rehashed clone of their old show.. lol give us a break you are not doing us a favor by working hard on it.. its EXPECTED of you.. everyone does that in their field of work.. so give a better rationale the next time around

agree with you all...!!!!!!!
i'm seriously fed up of this so called "different but same storyline"
of all the serials...!!!!
the male lead-in many cases a succesful business tycoon who doesn't care for others a no -smiles for me pls person who is rude and the list goes on...!!!
nad the female lead Miss .goddy good who is always right and teaches the male lead to live life , to smile...nd list goes on... !!!!
🤔
why can't they show the female lead as an ambitious girl (by ambition i mean da serious 1 not thar secy type)
with modern thoughts and luk i mean most of the girls in the forum are modern yet we know our limits and culture !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can actually sum up a list of characteristic of these"unique individuals" who fall in love in "different way"

Hero: Handsome..Sorry Rugged Handsome, arrogant ,rude, rich, business tycoon, hates women, spoilt/broody, metropolitan, no value of relationships etc etc

Heroine: Small town/city girl, will dress up in tackiest/gaudiest suit, belief in ideals, loves to preach, when not preaching she is soft spoken, calm, understanding, sacrificing, loves her family and values to core etc etc...

Dialogues would be along the lines of:

Hero:
Dlg 1: Paise se koi bhi cheez kharidi ja sakti hai
Dlg 2: Mujhe pyaar pe bharosa nahi/ Pyaar jaisi koi cheez nahi
Dlg 3: Door raho mujhse/ Mujhe nafrat hai tumse/ladkiyon se...

Heroine:

Dlg 1: Pyaar ki koi keemat nahi/ Pyaar se badh kar kuch nahi...
Dlg 2: Hum middle class log/aam log in choti choti cheezo me hi khushiya dhoond lete hai
Dlg 3: Har kisi ke liye koi na koi bana hota hai/Mere sanskaaro se badhkar kuch nahi...

THE LOVE STORY:
Heroine would come to work as the secretary of Hero. But you can bet that this wont be their first meeting. They would have met accidently before with Hero acting like jerk and heroine giving him Khari Khoti. They would work in the same office. Initially it would be all hate, hate and hate. Heroins giving tits bits to Hero on Art of living, meaning on his wrong beliefs. Then some instances of Hero over reacting, then realising his mistake and apologising... After sometime one or the other (or both) would start falling for each other.

then

Stares
Long Stares
Still longer stares
Stares with background music/song...

Trip-Catch-Fall can always be added in right measure...

Then one would eventually confess, other would reject, the one confessing would be heartbroken and cry buckets(if she is Heroine) or drown his sorrow in alcohol and become a bigger jerk(if he is hero)

The one who rejected would be miserable too... For he/She has rejected under some majboori. After some tome the majboori would be somehow resolved, and he/she would beg forgiveness and confess his love to the rejected. The rejected would now become the rejector and wouldnt accept either love or apology.

First rejector would now become the fairy god mother/ father and help the second rejector(i.e. first confessor😆) secretly.

After some more time second rejector would come to know of evrything repent, apologise and confess that they never stopped loving... So both rejectors (now confessors) would reconcile and live happily ever after.

The Sideys:

Heroine's family: Middle class,Large,conservative,loving caring,strict,sanskaarvaan etc etc

Hero's family: Super rich, heartless, manipulative, unloving(though one or two member may be sensible)

Office Staff: Must: Two vamps in shortest clothes to insult the heroine, call her Behenji, make fun of her, to plot to throw her out of office...

Bas I cant write anymore...Phew...

O ya I thought of a name too Pyaar ki ye anokhi/ankahi/ansuni kahani... or Mohabbat hi Mohabbat Hai or Mohabbat Ya Nafrat...😆

Indian audiences love to see the female lead as epitome of Pavitrata,Godess of Mahanata.

They love to watch female leads sacrificing her happiness for Pati Parmeshwar.Angel bhi Kabhie kabhie Ghalti kar Sakti Hai Par Aadarsh Betiyaan/Bahu can not even eat before their Patis.🥱🥱

yh i agree its always made out tht the female lead in this case khushi is perfect in every sense bt thts nt reali reality...we've seen tht so many times b4 in parvati/tulsi/prachi/prerna/gauri etc...i feel they shud show a real person... a character 1 can relate too... yes in some places we may relate to khushi bt 2 shw her totally perfect is wrong... bt at the sme time i feel its 2 early to judge the characters...mayb as the story n show develops we'll hav a better opportunity to judge and explore the characters n may find the negative aspects in khushi and positive in arnav...
