Well you have said it all. You'd think in this day and age we've past all all that crap. But reality is such. It's far from over. What's surprising is that even modern educated people still harbour those age old theories.

As you said for Shlok there's no one more pure and better than Astha and her kids. As long as she wants him to be in their lives nothing else is gonna matter. Shlok is rock solid in his decision.

well i know it from my own experience...me being orthodox christian and my husband is catholic...even i had full support from my parents there were still ppl who were making comments about it (orthodox christians did suffer a lot from catholic church but it was like a century ago!!!) I only told them that if me marrying a catholic is the biggest problem in their lives they are happy ppl... oh...and i am happy to...with husband who loves me , adores me, understands me and supports me...always...unconditionally

my best friend, christian, has turkish boyfriend-moslem...again ppl..."worried"...that guy is a great person who absolutely adores my friend, respects her and loves her in the way "would give anything for her smile" ... for me more than enough...for me its anything i need to know about him...

one thing i admire about spanish ppl is that they adopt asian kids or african kids...they dont care if kids are white or black or whatever...they have a home and love and are ready to give it to those kids..

I was a Buddhist when I met navi and converted when I got married. His parents wanted me to convert. I did for him. He didn't ask me to. He even asked me not to. I don't regret my decision. I was very clear with my reasoning. I did it for him, not because I don't like a being a Buddhist or because I wanted to please his parents. Then that decision was frowned upon by many. No body knows the pain for not having a baby either by own blood or adopted. a baby is a baby .. adopted is very good.. yes.. I was one who wanted to adopt one when .. I was blamed by society as I cannot give one or .. will I ever be able.. to.. and BRANDED AS INFERTILE..

I was about to adopt .. finally I was pregnant with my kido .. and he is now 3 ..

NO BODY KNOWS THE PAIN AS TO WHAT IS A CHILD FOR THE PARENTS..
