Part 6

AGNITHOTRI MANSION

Shlok gently laid Astha on the bed adjusting the pillows so she would be comfortable "Shlok mujhe please Jyoti Tai ke paas le chalo" Astha begged "Thodi dher aaram kar lo Astha main tumhe phir le chaloon ga" Astha pouted "Akdu kahin ke hamesha apni hi karenge" Shlok turned to look at her "Kuch kaha tumne?" Astha looked back at him innocently "Nahi toh maine kab kuch kaha" Shlok placed a kiss on her forehead "Main tumari dawa le kar aata hoon" Astha nodded and leaned back on to the pillows letting the breath she had been holding in, the pain in her side was almost unbearable now the medicine she had taken before leaving the hospital had long since worn off but she had kept quiet not wanting to worry Shlok any more than he already was. Shlok returned and quickly gave Astha her medicine "Ab tum thodi dher aaram kar lo" Shlok helped her lay down comfortably before pulling the blanket up around her and turning out the lights he went to go check on Jyoti. When he went to her room the doctor had just finished the check-up and was informing the family that Jyoti's condition was very weak and in order for her and the baby to survive she need plently of rest and to eat properly and on time.

"Yeh maine kuch dawa likhi hai yeh inhe dete rehna din mein theen baar" The doctor said handing Anjali the prescription before leaving

"Sojal garam pani aur ik raamal le kar aao" Anjali instructed "Jee Ayi" Varad took the prescription and went to get the medicine the doctor had prescribed

"Ab kaisi hai Jyoti Tai?" Shlok asked Niranjan filled him in and then turned to face Anjali "Zaara aap Abhay ko phone lagana aur Jyoti ke bare mein poochiye?"

"Jee Sahb" Anjali said dialing the number to Abhay's house, placing the phone on speaker,she waited for someone to answer

"Kaise ho Abhay sab theek thak?" Anjali enquired

"Haan Ayi sab kuch ik dum theek hai" Abhay replied

"Abhay, zara Jyoti se baat karvana bahut din ho gaye uss se baat kiye"

"Haan Ayi Jyoti toh apne kamre mein undar soh rahi hai" Abhay replies "Main usse bol doonga apna phone kiya tha"

"Theek hai Abhay hum rakhte hain" Anjali was about to hang up when she heard Abhay talking to his Bua so she stopped and listened "Bua yeh sab teri galti hai tujhe seede se ik kaam bhi nahi hota" Abhay shouted angriliy

"Mujhe kya pata tha teri biwi itne tez nikle gi" Bua answered "main toh usse bachi girane le kar gayi thi au..."

"Aur shone ke ande dene wali morgi ko gawa diya" Abhay cut her off. Anjali cut the phone unable to hear anymore and looked up at Niranjan but he turned and walked out of the room to his bedroom and locked the door.

He went to the cupboard and pulled out his hunter and placed it on the bed, removing his shirt he picked up his hunter and began to whip himself over and over again, until he broke down and fell to the floor crying over his failiure as a father, how could he send his daughter into that house and never look back, how could he overlook the mistreatment she was dealt. He was a failure, not only could not become a good father but he was unable to become a good husband either.

Sojal came back with the warm water and raamal which Anjali gently dipped into the water and wiped Jyoti's face with it.

"Ayi maine khana bana liya hai main laga doon" Sojal asked quietly Anjali nodded and Sojal hurried out of the room. "Shlok agar Astha neeche naa jaa paaye toh Sojal ko bhol kar usska khana upar le jaana" Anjali said still wiping Jyoti's face gently

Shlok nodded and returned to his room where he saw Astha trying to grab the jug of water from the bedside table "ASTHA" Shlok said rushing forward scaring Astha causing her to drop the glass in her hand "yeh tum kya kar rahi ho, tumhe seedi saadi bahut samaj nahi aati kya" Shlok scolded picking up the glass and filling it with water he handed it to Astha. Astha turned her face "Astha" Shlok called her name but Astha refused to look at him, putting the glass of water down he put his finger under her chin and turned her face to look into her eyes "Maine dhanta bura laga?" Astha nodded her eyes filling with tears "Maaf karogi?" Astha threw her arms around his neck while he wove his around her waist "I'm sorry Astha doctor ne tumhe aaram karne ko bola tha iss liye main darr gaya aur tumhe dhant diya" Astha leaned back with a smile "Shlok ab baatein hi karenge ya phir mujhe pani bhi denge" Shlok smiled and helped her drink the water. "Ab bolo tum khana room mein khana chaati ho yah neeche sab ke saath?" Astha thought for a moment than said "Neeche chalte hain" Shlok nodded lifting her in arms

"Shlok main chal sakti hoon" Astha laughed "Haan par mere hote hue tumhe chalne ki kya zaroorat hai" Shlok said nuzzling her cheek, laughing the two of them headed down for dinner. When the reached the bottom of the stairs Astha pleaded with Shlok to put her down reluctantly he agreed and helped her walk over to the dining table where the rest of the family were sitting, Shlok helped Astha sit down pulling out her chair and tucking it in before sitting down next to her.

Niranjan turned to Anjali who was standing next to him "Anjali tum bhi bhet kar khana kha lo" Niranjan said pointing to the chair next to him "Jee Sahb" Anjali said lowering herself into the chair. After dinner the family was sitting in the living room, Astha looked around she didn't see Aditi anywhere, she hadn't been at dinner either she shrugged and focused her attention back on to the family. Kavya came running to Astha "Chachi...Chachi aapne mere liye koi gift le aaya hai?" She asked with a smile on her face "Kavya beta" Sojal scolded. Astha smiled at Sojal and pulled Kavya in for a hug "Aaisa ho sakta hai ke main apni princess ke liye koi gift na laoon?" Astha turned to Shlok and he nodded running up the stairs to grab the gift Astha had purchased for Kavya before the accident

"Sasu Bai ab Jyoti Tai ki tabiyat kaisi hai?" Astha asked worriedly Anjali looked up at Astha "Voh pehle se better hai usne apna khana kamre mei hi kha leya tha aur ab soh rahi hai" Astha nodded "Kal subah jaa kar Jyoti se mil lena voh tumare bare mein pooch rahi thi"

"Jee Sasu Bai" Astha smiled Shlok came downstairs with a wrapped package and handed it to Kavya who opened quickly "WOW Chachi video camera" Kavya exclaimed and threw herself on Astha as all the others smiled Astha winced from the pain in her side but it went unnoticed by everyone except Sojal "Kavya beta Chachi ko saans toh lene de" Kavya stepped back and began to admire her new video camera"

"Yeh aachi baat hai saara ka saara thanks Chachi ka aur Chachu ke liye kuch bhi nahi"Shlok whined causing everyone to break into laughter at his puppy dog face Kavya laughed and jumped into his arms her laughter filling the room as he tossed her into the air and caught again.

Standing upstairs behind a pillar Aditi was enraged "yeh Astha har baar bach jaati hai, chahe kuch bhi ho isshe toh raaste se haatana hi hoga"

"ASTHA...ASTHA" Someone shouted from the doorway

Everyone turned around to see Kalindi walk in "Astha" she ran over to where Astha was sitting "Tu theek toh hai?" She asked hurriedly checking over her

"Ayi tu yaha?" Astha asked surprised to see her mom "Haan main tujhe lene aayi hoon waise bhi kuch hi toh din reh gaye tumare divorce main toh bas mujhe nahi pata tu chal mere saath" Kailindi said pulling Astha to her feet and dragging her towards the door

"Ayi...chod mujhe yeh tu kya kar rahi hai" Astha tried to free her hand "Shlok Ayi koh rook"

Shlok ran forward and grabbed Kalindi's hand trying to get her to let go of Astha "Chodiye Astha ko voh kahi nahi jaa rahi voh meri patni hai"

Kalindi glared at Shlok "Astha aur tumare divorce mein ab sirf 4 din reh gaye uske baad tumara aur Astha ka koi rishta nahi hai" Astha felt as if someone had pulled the ground out from beneath her just FOUR days, she tried to stop the tears but they broke loose she had forgotten all about the divorce she had been so happy to be back with her Shlok and their family everything was going so good "Nahi main Shlok ko chod kar kabhi nahi jaoon gi" Astha thought to herself

Seeing tears running down her face Kalindi misinterpreted them to mean Astha wanted to leave "Chal Astha tujhe darne ki koi zaroorat nahi hai tu bas chal mere saath" she said dragging Astha as the family shouted their protests

"Ayi ...Ayi...Chod mujhe kahin nahin jaana...Ayi meri baat toh sun...Ayi" Astha cried but Kalindi refused to listen choosing to drag Astha towards the door the pain in Astha's side was unbearable now it felt like her side was on fire "SHLOK" Astha cried "ASTHA" Shlok called running behind her

"Kalindi ji ruk jaiye" Anjali protested running after Astha

"Ayi, Shlok" Sojal cried out "Astha ka khoon nikal raha dekho uski toh sari bhi bheeg gayi hai"

Anjali and Shlok were shocked to see that Astha's sari was drenched with blood on her stomach

Astha couldn't take the pain in her side any longer but she knew that pain was nothing compared to the pain of being separated from Shlok so she summoned up as much energy she could "AYI CHODIYE MUJHE" She screamed yanking her hand from Kalindi's grip with such a force she fell backwards but Sojal and Anjali were able to steady her, regaining her balance and ignoring the pain Astha stepped forward "Kyun aap meri baat sune ko tyaar nahi hai Ayi?" Astha cried "Kyun aap samaj nahi sakti ke main Shlok bina nahi jee sakti, pati hain voh mera pyar karti hoon main usse aur main janti hoon ke Shlok bhi mujhse pyar karte hain" Astha looked at Shlok

"Astha baatein baad main kar lena dekho tumara kitna khoon nikal raha hai chalo doctor ke paas" Anjali said holding Astha by the arm stabilizing her from falling Sojal holding her from the otherside

"Nahi...Sasu Bai aaj Ayi ko sun lene do" Astha struggled with the pain Shlok came and took her in his arms "Astha please chalo doctor ke paas zid mat karo" But Astha was having none of it she wanted and needed for Ayi to know the truth, holding onto Shlok for support she continued

"Main Shlok aur humare parivaar ko chod kar kahin nahi jaoon gi" Astha stated "Tu kisi baat se darti hai dekh toh sahi yaha sab mujhe kitna pyar karte hai aur rahi baat divorce kit oh mujhe nahin chaiye koi divorce main apne pati ka saath kabhi nahi chodne wali"

"Astha tu kaise rahe gi yaha" Kalindi cried "Tu chal mere saath hum apne ghar jaa kar baat karte hain"

Shlok was enraged "kya matlab apne ghar jaa kar baat karte hain?" Kalindi glared at Shlok "tum hum dono ke beech mat bolo" but Shlok Agnihotri is not one to back down especially if the matter concerns his wife

"YEH HAI ASTHA KA GHAR" he roared "Astha meri patni hai pyar karta hoon main usse apni jaan se bhi zyaada hum dono ko koi alag nahi kar sakta aap bhi nahin samje aap"

"Ayi Shlok sahi keh rahi hum dono ko koi alah nahi kar sakta humhe saath janamo saath rehne ka vardaan mila hai" Astha pleaded "main khush hoon Ayi meri khushiyan mat cheen"

Kalindi looked at Astha then turned around and left "Ayi...Ayi meri baat toh sun" Astha called but Kalindi kept going Astha broke down in Shlok's arms sobbing hysterically into his chest "Shlok" she cried unable to stand the pain in her side or the confrontation with her Ayi Astha passed out in Shlok's arms

"ASTHA" Anjali cried out "Shlok jaldi Astha ko hospital le ke chalo main tumare Baba ko baata kar doosri gaadi mein aati hoon, Sojal Astha ke saath jao"

Sojal nodded and ran to open the car door for Shlok who carried Astha to the car "Astha ankhein kolo...Astha"

Aditi stood behind the pillar looking at the scene that had just unfolded thinking to herself, wow my luck must be changing I didn't even have to lift a finger smiling to herself she went to her room.

PRECAP

Aditi is talking to someone on the phone while paininting her nails, she struggles so she puts the phone on speaker, Kavya passes by playing with the video camera
