"Mirror Mirror on the wall..." .
Director Wasim Sabir uses Mirror to beautifully depict symbolism's and alter egos in his story/ show 😊. He has done many more symbolic scenes but some how I saw lot of mirror scenes which mean something else. Here are few scenes where I found the mirror symbolism's till now.
1. Shlok's Mirror talk pre- marriage : This is like he is talking to his alter-ego on how he can take revenge on Astha

2. Shlok's Mirror talk pre- marriage : This is like he is talking to his alter-ego on how he can take revenge on Astha

2. When Astha comes to Shlok's house for diwali he gifts her necklace and both are shown in mirror - I think this means Astha is in love with the image that has been created for her by him.

3. Shlok's image shown in Suresh's glasses - his alter -ego and actual Shlok again.

4. Shlok breaking the Mirror after Astha leaves the home: Its like breaking his alter-ego for ever and going on darker side? And he says everything is out in open , his hatred that is.

5. Shlok driving the car after kidnapping Astha from her house and his image is shown in the car mirror.I don't know what this means but felt it is shot beautifully.

6. NA and Astha: When Astha comes to NA to wish for divorce both of them are shown in mirror and normally ie., 2 images depicting both are in 2 mind sets.

7. Shlok and NA: When NA comes to Shlok to talk about the divorce matter and to tell him to bring Astha back both are shown in mirror again. One more interesting point here again is NA is dressed all in white where as Shlok is dressed all in black. It is ironical that even though NA dresses to be pristine white his mind is completely opposite and he is evil-personified, irredeemable. Where as Shlok even though grey has that good traits in him and is redeemable. Both are shown as talking to the mirror which means they are talking to their images that has been created by each other. Well, who is playing whom...will be known probably at the end 😲

8. When NAs abuse of Anjali is revealed for the first time, Anjali is shown sitting between two mirror images of NA, showing that she is trapped by NAs evilness on all sides and has no escape.

8. When NA was talking to Anjali about the party and about making Astha just like her. When NA says"Astha mein apki Chavi dekhna chahta hoon", Anjali was shown mirror and NA was not. So, that means Anjali does not like Astha to become like her, she is just doing this for NA's sake. And NA has this image of Anjali but she is different from inside.

Embedded image permalink

9.When Anjali was talking to Sojal, Anjali's image was shown in mirror - that is obvious as Sojal does not know what is the truth of Anjali. She only is aware of this image/face value of her MIL.

10. When Shlok calls Astha and reminds her to be on time, his image is shown in the window glass which is interesting. Is it like his ego and alter-ego?

Please add on if you remember any other mirror scenes or if you think these scenes mean something else.

two mirror images of NA here could depict the positive opinion that Astha has about him in contrast to his true evil self.

👏 Nice interpretation here, loved it

Jia, Awesome post ! Loved it 👏 I have always loved Waseems use of mirrors that adds a deeper meaning to the scenes.

Lovely post jia .👏... loved all the symbolisms ... and the way waseem has used the mirror
to great effect throughout EBP journey so f...

regarding yr car shlok reflection, i think it is soon after aastha queries him angrily on what
NA will think of the kidnapping ... immediately after that shlok looks at her and then the
mirror image is shown... so indicating that he is doing this for NA to cover up baba's public
image, but aastha is thinking highly of NA and wondering how he will react to the kidnapping...😕

mirror and reflections have been used beautifully for aastha also like.. in the morning after the kohlapur scene, all the times when she is upset ... like yesterday and once before...
shlok many times ...
i think the new mirror shown yday will not have him talking to it anymore ... as the dark shlok
has already been revealed to aastha... she will now have to see the real love of shlok
behind his mask of hatred... even avi pointed this out in the latest segment... that andhar sey
kaisa hai, usey bahar nikhalna chahiye ... pyaar hai lekin woh samajthi nahi or something
like that...😛

Jia love WASEEM sir POV in mirror usage saying in every person two shades ..and it can ve hate and love in equal too in pride and egos..
You writing all of shlok egos in mirror in reflection..was very nice..
What will you say on self image glass window many times shown as outer image and ego.like first fight of ashlok after

Must say the first that caught me in EBP in mirror talk as inner and outer differ and I call all EBPIANS as inner mirror..as all seeking the truth in same way.

Mirror on the wall what do you see.
Mirror: me see shlok hiding his feeling feelings from Mr NA Agnihotri.
Shlok: why would I hide I don't love anyone.
Mirror.the shadow behind you and the pain you drunk is saying in all you are lying.
NA: I accept you as my shadow and made AASTHA as perfect Bahu as Agnihotri pride.
Mirror: you are only a shadow in behind in mirror of inner ..the front and outer is masked for you also.
Shlok: I will stay mum otherwise I will get caught,
Mirror..yes by hook or crook you will make sure you are daddy's good boy.

Check my first a attachment of mirror by WASEEM and my my very first post in big on forum...same In mirror talk. Thank you for making me memorise my post..

Thanks Sandhya 😊. Yeah, that was a wonderful scene too, it just shows Anjali's helplessness and how she is trapped by NA.
