Okay guys, i've seen wayy too many posts hating on Shlok and going on about feminism. He manhandled her and if i was i Aastha's place, i'd knee him in b****, BUT you have to realize that he did it all out of fear of going back into a dark place. Also, IT'S A FREAKING DRAMA SERIAL, NONE OF THIS IS HAPPENING IN REALITY. You can't tell me you honestly think this will inspire men to go bezerk on women -_-

It's pretty obvious at this point that he's been hurt badlyy in the past. And the background music couldn't have made the condition of his heart more obvious. He was acting on instinct- fighting it. We saw from last Friday's episode that he clearly isn't okay with any female being abused or mistreated in any way. So why the hate? He's falling for her and it's awakening something in him that he's kept locked up for a while now. He's afraid and wants to make sure that Aastha keeps her distance from him.

Also, notice how aggravated he got when she called him a "rakshas" and told him she'd avoid his shadow if she could. He's felt the pain of having 'his lover' leave him once, and he's obviously tired of it.

On the other side, i adore how they played Phir Mohabbat ! LOVE that song and it was a real treat watching their expressions throughout the episode :)

Agree wish all those who hate this show will take their hatred and go away
There is this person calling the the lead actors as the weak link meaning the leads are not good actors
And as u say this is a fiction no man boy will go and start abusing women just because they watched this show
Shlok is tormented with his past some word like calling him rakshas erupts him as that reminds him of his past

@red: I have my own reservations for disagreeing, but don't want to take it further because I want to talk more about other interesting things in your thread.

Lol.. I just can't think straight when I watch a TV show or a movie, and get goofy. Probably, that's the reason why I have high tolerance for horror movies. After reading your perspective, I can see his dilemma. Shlok hasn't moved on from his past, and Astha is shaking his safely guarded broken heart. He is not ready to heal his wounds yet, but Astha is pushing him to the edge. Considering how badly women are treated in Shlok's house, I see that he thinks his actions are justified (not to me). Wow, I can't get over the fact that the men in his house ring the plate with spoons(??) for food to be served..😲😕

Yup, I loved the song too... Is it from the show or some movie??? I really liked your response for not sugarcoating violence and putting it in a sane manner 😊

Agreed !! I think the song is the best part and the lyrics went well with actions. I don't think it's that abusive either we had to vent out his aggression some way . He did not like the fact that he aastha told him she wants to get away from his shadow. He couldn't take it. Avnaish was spot on so as aastha m. I think still needs to understand that there is something that caused shalok to enrage . I think she was trying to comprehend when he was breaking her bangles but she still couldn't.
Great job done by both leads !!

That's a very good point. I see no reason behind calling the actors weak. I personally believe that Avinash Sachdev is dong a brilliant job!

Honestly, i don't think the way he was brought up is the reason for his aggression towards Aastha. Rather, i think his past experience in love is to blame for this.

And whaat? I missed the first 2 weeks of the show, so i wasn't aware, but the men ring their plates with spoons to be served? That's ridiculous!

And the song's from Murder 2, a movie. It's truly beautiful :)

Also, thank you for appreciating my post :D
