The meeting of science and spirituality is something which looks good on paper but impossible to exhibit on screen like you mentioned above with different examples. Also. there were already too many subplots going on. They should have kept things simple. focus on main story,get it established and then move on to next one and usually gul is really good at it. This time, I just don't know why the team acted so unprofessionally.

The CGI effects are best suited to paranormal/fantasy genre, gul is expert in mills and boons romance, she should focus on her strengths. and she should make paranormal dramas to deal with science and philosophical matters.

I am just sad among all this we didn't get the chance to enjoy more of barun and shivani and even indrani!

Last two weeks was pretty darn good despite CV and PH shutting down the show ... I was watching the bit when Chandni decided to stay with Advey in the living room ... Katto Gilheri bigad Gaya 😆

Advey is still calm ... How do you do so much drama the whole day ? 😃 ( arnav would have thrown a fit but Advey is always kool )

Advay was pretty cool...even when he was filled with hatred, he never raised his voice against her...last few weeks he adjusted all her tantrums when even i was getting irritated with chandu

OK just caught up on the posts from where I left off last night... and here are my thoughts...

1) How any of these pseudo feminists could justify Arnavs behaviour towards Khushi, is a mystery to me, his backstory certainly didn't justify it and its not how I would want the love of my life to treat me. The flak we (pankis) got for fangirling over Baruns intense acting in the dupatta burning scene, apparently our idea of romance was being warped by such scenes. But Arnav manhandling, shouting and insulting Khushi for months was completely fine because he was fighting his love for Khushi and it was a fictional ML and FL in a fictional show.

2) Barun's fans, are basically split into IPK1 fans, Sarun Fans, Arnav fans and vanilla (Sudha - in a completely non-kinky way) Barun fans...SP seriously miscalculated Baruns fan base loyalty by bringing back Barun as ASR in IPK. Too many delusional/insecure groups that were scared that their little fantasies that they have been living for the last 5 years would be threatened if IPK3 became a hit, so needed to bring down the show in their own ways. So the story, Jodi and advay got scrutinised as much as they did. Despite all that the fact that the TRP remained steady from week 2 shows how strong Baruns vanilla fandom actually is and had the show been given a real chance in terms of time and story it would have gone up gradually, I have no doubt Adni would have created a beautiful story and Barun would have woven his own magic on new viewers. The incompetence of SP in the handling of the show is quite staggering, from naming the show IPK to changing the story to pulling it off air before the king of romance embarked on his romantic journey. Advay struggling in love and then being in love would have bought in the TRPs!

3) As much as I love Arnav, I think Advay is in a league of his own and I love him accordingly, he is more emotive for me and as I have said before I rather be loved by Advay than Arnav. I genuinely think he and the original adni story is Guls best work to date. Personally I am so happy/grateful that Barun made his long awaited TV comeback as Advay. Advay and his real story was worthy of Baruns talent and far as I am concerned Barun delivered his best performance and from episode 1. (Unlike in S1, where Barun took a couple of months to get Arnav and then he literally stole the show!). Any Barun fan would have appreciated ipk3 for the fact that it was showcasing Baruns talent and progress as an actor like none of his previous shows had.

4) I agree once the story moved to Mumbai, I think those who wanted the show to be a intense love story with a backdrop of revenge lost the will. We fans had watched the show for a couple of months were gutted about how the story and characters got butchered, imagine how Gul must be feeling who has been working on it for over a year. She invested her time, effort and money in it. Gul I do think felt an obligation to Barun's trust in her for his comeback, because post Mumbai clearly was not the character or story that Barun signed up for, it was becoming IB 2.0 - Barun had already said no to IB. I do think the last month was almost Gul giving Shivani a platform to showcase her talents to help her in her future career.

Anyway... that's enough serious talk for a Monday!
