Ok...guys...short post today...vacation is over and life is busy once again...

Just caught up with the episode today...soaps are dramatic...melodramatic...There was lots of melodrama today...but here are the things that made an impact on me...

First and foremost ...I felt really really bad for Chandani...

For trying to so hard to earn the affection of a mother she considers her own but who just pretends to return the feeling and uses her every step of the way...

Imagine having a dad who is as good as not being there and a mom who hates you...

So desperate she is for her moms well being and her love...she does everything to protect her and her family...

So the baby is Meghnas ...that's a hard shift for Meghnas character...Not sure if this was always on the cards...

So Chandani was trying to protect Meghana from Indranis wrath ...and Indrani herself from the social shame when she gave away the child...Would I make that decision NO...Would Laurel Lai make that decisions for her child? Absolutely not...even though it is always hard to raise a child as a single mother, even in Connecticut...ask Laura Lai...But this is no Gilmore Girls and this is no Connecticut they are living in...so I can see why and how that could have seemed like the most sensible thing for Chandani to do...Was it right? What is justified...? No...but can I understand it given the family's background Andy the society they live in? Yes...

So Bituwa thinks it is Chandani's baby ...and he holds her in contempt for giving the baby up...Nani is right...most people when faced with the same facts...take different things away from it...They see what they want to see...Truth indeed has many colors...One good thing...Bituwa didn't take issue with Chandani not being a virgin and having a baby before marriage? Now that's progress! He really is acting like he is London returned and progressive in his views for at least some parts...😆

Overall ...a good episode...had the emotional grip ...although very melodramatic...and stereotypical in many ways...The story line about the baby...I am not crazy about it, and it looks a bit forced in without planning ahead...but like PS and Ranjitha mentioned on my old thread...I would rather watch this than Advay playing with the feelings of two sisters...and it be a triangle between Chandani, Meghna and Advay...I would have absolutely HATED that!

Just one more today...

I am glad Chandani gathered the courage to at least tell Indrani that she didn't want to marry PP...

She feels very uncomfortable with him...his touch gives her the hibijibis...(I note that she has never outright ...said that she didn't like Bituwa...😆)

Jokes apart...even if that didn't get the outcome and Chandani was no match for Indranis manipulation...I am glad that Chandani gathered the courage to say it...

Neeru mama...is a soft soul...Indrani has probably bullied him all her life...and he wants to tell Chnadani that she doesn't have to take the S..T from Indrani...but is that true? What choice does Chandani really have? She feels thankful for every little bone Indrani throws her way...she feels thankful that at least she has a family ...that is how desperate she is for affection and acceptance...

It is funny to hear Advay talk about putting Chandani through hell...Like really? I think she is in her own hell already!!

One good word for the director...I like how he juxtaposes the scenes and draws out the contrast...Nicely done!!

There is a fine line between being mahaan and being stupid. One can be sympathetic towards their family. One can do everything for their family. One can even be the pawn for their family. But when - until the time they know that they are loved and cherished. That they are of the value.

Clearly it shows that Chandni despite knowing the truth has decided to be a doormat.

Today my biggest disgust is Mamaji, He knows everything. He even knows about Meghna's daughter and yet he does not say anything? Is he there just with his ears? Does he not use his brain to give what you call some sense in to your little ones? Where is his duniyadari or experience? Shouldn't Meghna be the one to decide about her child? How can Chandni - a step daughter who knows that she is unwanted decide about that child. Would that not go against her? How is that going to help her win love of her mother? The child i 1 year old. Chandni was abducted a year back. So during delivery clearly she was under PTSD symptoms.

More than that. Its pregnancy - How can a lady hide it from her family? Its not a deed of 1 day - its bloody 9 months 😲

Well will be back once my brain cells will understand iss blooper ko kya naam do?

Now that the initial waves of disappointment is out of the system will concentrate on the positives:

The parallel scenes between Advay and Chandni - Juxtaposes as you mentioned was a nice touch. It showed the difference between the day and night. The difference between not just two personalities but polar apart persons. 👏

Indrani and her nautanki well she is the player with shatir dimaag. So she plays her move ahead of time. That is the reason that she ruled till now and still is ruling.

Masa - masi gang is out small mercies.

Nani looked good today. They changed her look😃 She is still harping on the same tune Many colors of truth. Her words are like that drop of water that has the capacity to create canyons in mountain.

As you said Advay is not disgusted for chandni having a child - a pleasant welcoming surprise👏

Advay's wall is back and is stronger than before yet his obsession over Chandni is strong. He can not see her with anyone 😆

PS - Chandni's character is a yo yo. 👎🏼 I would say it's like the phases of moon. No single day its same. The emotional strong Chandni who can do anything for the love of her mother can not be a cry baby. Since past few episodes all she is doing is crying🤢 Gone are those days when people actually love the crying bechari abla nari.

PS-2 I am not going to speak anything about the child/Meghna and her behaviour for my own sanity😆

That's tough. And this blind love/devotion etc. that Chandni has for her...as we can see today...is unhealthy for her and those around her. Case in point, she hid from Meghna, that her baby is alive and in an orphanage. Now I don't know yet what Meghna's POV is here, what she had decided earlier, whether or not she didn't want the baby at all after giving birth to it etc. but in any case, taking the choice away from the mother of the child this way is WRONG. And she did this mostly for Indrani because unka guroor toot jayga or whatever! 🥱 Girl...come on.

Am waiting for when Advay helps her shatter this illusion of 'ma ma hoti hai'. No Chandu, kabhi kabhi ma bilkul bhi ma nahi hoti. 😡

I watched today's episode during my lunch break and ran through it in 10 minutes. I was so pissed off with Chandni for being the Dhadkan waala Akshay Kumar that I decided not to rewatch the episode, but, ended up watching it again. Am glad I did, because I softened a bit for her. I am just like Advay ATM, Kabhi Haan Kabhi naa 😆

I sort of understand her emotions, but I still feel that she should soon understand, what didn't change for 20 odd years won't change now. She looks stupid to me.

I would have hated the love triangle, because that would mess up Advay's character. For now I can deal with Chandini's inconsistency, but butchering Advay's character would be unacceptable.

I was too happy to know Advay did not judge her for being a single mother, but for not gaining the gut to keep the child with herself 👏

I wanted to give a flying tappad to Chandini for taking decisions for her sister. I have these mahaanta, 'i can handle everything' kind of star plus bahus. Meghna is not a kid and she could have made a decision for her & her baby. I am also surprised how can Meghna get back to normalcy after delivering a baby & losing it as well.

Some gyaan to my not so favorite Harneet. This is not an episodic but a full fledged sabun so some consistency rakho phileez. What was the fun of having Chandni share her story with Advay if the baby track had to be introduced immediately? Too many twists too soon will confuse the viewers and butcher the characters.

HI Bhavi...what you say makes perfect sense but I think in reality ...some people do love their families...without getting the appreciation in return...

I share your disgust for mamaji...but I imagine he earns no money and is dependent on Indrani...with all the talk...Indrani is right...he has no solutions...He probably thinks Meghna is too much of a dreamer to make a sensible decision...and he probably thought that was the right decision as well...I do agree Chandani was probably under PTSD...it was too much responsibility for her to carry...mama is a good soul but a wry very weak character...

I agree...the blind devotion is unhealthy...I agree she is deluding herself into believeing that she will get Indranis love some day...but if she didn't...she will be bitter and depressed...She is in a very tough situation...

I agree...the track has been changed a bit too quickly...I wish they let Advay feel soft for at least some more time before... the contempt came back...😕

So with you...on the love triangle plot...it would have totally butchered Advay's character...and taken all the fun away ...I am so glad they didn't do that!

Didn't see Dhadkan...so don't know what AKshays character was like...😆I remember my dad watching it and telling us how much he hated the movie...because one character in that movie (not sure which one..I think .Sunil shetty...) was so badtameez!! 😆

Sush - I agree with what you are saying. I will take this track over Chandni - Advay - Meghana love triangle. I feel bad for Chandni - She is alone even having a big family. I was pissed off when I saw the episode in the morning. Why can't Indian shows have FLs who can stand up for themselves.

Now after second watch I can understand why Chandni was so over the top Mom pleaser. Because she always knew deep down that she was a responsibility for Indrani and she feels obliged to make her happy. I guess that is why she was tricked into telling all the lies about Dev's mother. She has been played from the beginning. The thing is Chandni knows that her mother doesn't love her fully but she doesn't know that her mother is doing a deal on her. Wonder how she will learn Indrani's truth and when. I am guessing it will be after marriage and Advay would get the truth of Indrani out in open.

I still don't condone what Chandni did with meghu's baby. But at least she had someone from the family who knew the whole truth. I can understand her need to hide the baby but the decision should have been Meghu's and not Chandni's.

@Bhavi- Regarding Mamaji I guess he is someone who doesn't earn anything and is totally dependent on Indrani so he can't do anything other than talking to Indrani and pleading with her to change her ways. I am glad that he at least is trying to drill some sense in Chandni's mind to let go off her foolishness. I guess his role is similar to Nani - Nani is going to steer Advay towards Chandni and Mamaji is going to be the one doing the same for Chandni after the hate marriage.

@Ranjitha:- I totally understand what creatives are saying by introducing the baby track after the disclosure of Chandni's PTSD. Chandni's PTSD made Advay waver and Dev to come into forefront and he needed something big to again go back into the revenge mode. Money is not going to be an issue because he knows that the whole Vasishth family are bankrupt so the only way Advay can hate Chandni wholly again is by something like this.Like Nani says Advay sees what he wants to see and he always had the idea of Chandni being a liar and manipulator and this kind of reinforced the same for him. The fight between Dev and Advay is going to be interesting. Dev is going to be looking out for his friend's safety and well-being whereas Advay is always going to blame Chandni for everything.

I don't know(call me biased) but this has to be the best layered character for Barun. He has lot to show and he is showing the layered character quite well.
