So according to behind the scenes segments, viewers will witness the emotional breakdown of Chandni, albeit in a state of intoxication. She will unknowingly share her pain and trauma of the past with Advay. The same Advay she wants out of the house and out of her life. Ironic. Except this isn't Advay: this is Dev. The very Dev she has been waiting for since childhood. God really does work in mysterious ways...
Out of all the segments I have seen, this is probably the most anticipated scene for me. This moment, I am sure will be significant for the changing equation between Chandni and Advay. Although it's too early to say what this will bring, I doubt it will lead to Advay falling in love with her just yet (as suggested by channels) It might lead to him softening a little. It might even push him to investigate further. But whatever happens, it just might end up becoming a defining moment for them. And, may I add... this will be the first time that Chandni will embrace Advay. She won't be in her senses. But in her moment of weakness she will turn to him. And that is quite telling.
My heart goes out to Chandni. She is a damaged soul. A prisoner of the past. Just like her Dev. They don't just share history...they both carry the burden of personal tragedies and live with it day in and day out. I dare not question who is more troubled, because pain like any other emotion, can never be measured. It can only be felt to truly understand it.
I want the realization of love to be gradual and take place at the right time. But I can't wait to see Advay and Chandni finally realise that they are soulmates. These two have been through a lot and seen far too much. Advay has seen brutality and the loss of loved ones. Chandni has faced humiliation and despair. Both deserve to be loved and feel love. And that can only happen once they come together. Until then both are incomplete and lost.
I KNOW that Barun and Shivani are going to nail this emotional scene. The former is a master at it, and the latter is already proving her calibre š Sobti slays. Shivani shines š
Whenever I think of Advay and Chandni in the current phase, it reminds me of a famous Ghazal by the Late Mehdi Hasan Sahib:
Ranjish Hi Sahi, Dil Hi Dukhane Ke Liye Aa. Aa Phirse Mujhe Chod Ke Jaane Ke Liye Aa.
(If in anguish, so be it. Come and bring further pain to this heart. Come to me, if only to desert me yet again.)
Yes, I'm old school š
Side note: Big thank you to Sharada for knocking sense in to me, and for her encouragement in general. I will no longer crib and complain. I've been here far too long and seen how this place works. So either I shut up or put up. Well actually, I shall do neither. I'll just keep calm and carry on posting š
