So it's quite all right for us ...besides im tired of accidental sindoor on mang in every freaking show ...this is an opportunity to see something diff for us ... As long as no one is drinking water after washing husbands hobbit feet , I'm okay with everything else

@BOLD: I know what you are talking about here! 😆😆That was one ridiculous track I have come across in the recent times!

That's not as bad as drinking the washing ... Waise I don't have long hair , I would have to add some Hair extensor to do that 🤣

Yeah its there...Actually here the day bride & groom get married, the groom stayed at bride's house, it the next day the newly wed bride & groom is taken to their new home(boy's house) and their is some ashirbad ritual done(similar to shagun) by the the groom's relatives...and that night the newly weds are not allowed to see each ..so no SR that day..then comes the next day where husband gave a thaal with food and a saree to his new wife by saying he is taking her responsibility from today...also there is some ghee rice which is to be served by the bride in her sasural...during lunch..
Raat to reception and then that ritual of wiping feet with bride's hair..
Also here boy's mom is not allowed to see the shaadi...

For your information, Jhoola rasam is very much existing and is one of the sacred ritual of Tamil Brahmin weddings in South India (Tamil Nadu). It is done after engagement and right before the wedding. So the ritual is not something that Gul made up, its just not known to the rest of the country.

Here is the link that explains the ceremony, scroll to #6 Oonjal (Swing Ceremony):

Besides, even this was not in any part of the culture, its all fair in sapnon ke duniya mein. 😳

Peace!

Actually Jhula Rasam is done in some south indian families - After engagement or after marriage. The newly weds or engaged couple are made to sit on a flower decked swing and family members push it wishing them and blessing them.
