I am a Hindu girl hailing from north India Allahabad being my in laws place ..
I have never seen this jhula rasam ( this happens with Radha Krishna but not with to be with couples )
At the most they do jhula of Radha Krishna idol .
Similarly this Diya which was there in chennai express is not done anywhere in north India

In fact people are so conservative the engaged couple don't even talk much in front of elders ..

Subah subah started...now yesterday didn't find any flaws, now people having problem with rituals!!!
There are few rituals which are confined to some households only...think like that and be happy..
They had showed this Jhula ritual in IB also, and something similar happens in YRKKH every year...
So what's wrong, and on top of everything this is Tv show which may have such rituals which may actually don't exists...
So relax and enjoy...

It is called fiction for a reason !
I am from Chennai and holding diya or climbing temple steps with girl in arms doesnt happen in Chennai or tamil nadu or any part of south India! 😉

I don't have a problem with the show but when they show outlandish stuff it becomes less believable would have been better if they had showed some normal events

I'm neither Indian , nor Hindu ( I'm Agnost) ... But I love watching these Rasms ... They give certain symbolism to the marriage ceremonies ... Besides it's just a show ... So it's quite all right for us ...besides im tired of accidental sindoor on mang in every freaking show ...this is an opportunity to see something diff for us ... As long as no one is drinking water after washing husbands hobbit feet , I'm okay with everything else

I first saw this in IPK2 ek bar phir ... Ashtha was to drink the water from feet washing and my first thought was I would make tea with that water and feed that to the mother in law 🤣
