Dreams do come true. When this Chandigarh girl wished to pursue an acting career, her parents demanded to see her in their favourite soap Devon Ke Dev Mahadev...that she duly did. She played Saraswati!
Taking a 360 degree turn, Salina Prakash is all set to do an out and out negative character in Star Plus' show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. The fresh season and this girl is all gaga over the content, act and look of this one.

And, while this damsel dresses hair perfectly curled, winged eyeliner, three rings on perfectly manicured hands, a small nath on the nose, strands of pearls delicately dangling from her arms and as her staff hands out one accessory after another and makeup man helps with the mirror... Salina talks, making sense...
The beginning
I took up Kathak while studying in Government College for Girls. The credit goes to my teachers who turned the shy girl in me into an artiste. Learning a classical dance not only helps one's acting skills but also instils discipline which is paramount in becoming successful in any field.
Chasing dreams
As some modelling assignments came my way, I headed to Mumbai. After four years of modelling, I got my first substantial project. All through I put in my hard work and not even for a moment I lost hope. Acting was my chosen vocation and I wasn't the one to give it up. It's in front of camera that I truly come alive. I had always loved dressing up...now I do that for work and feel fortunate to be living my dream.
Iss Pyaar Ko...
There's been only one Shakuni. What I play is his evil sister set in today's times. I play a masi to the lead female character. Out and out evil she is. It is challenging to play someone who is so different.
Keeping fit
I belong to a family of doctors so we all bank on eating natural. Junk has never been on my menu. Wholesome, healthy meals are a way of life. With walking, I am sorted in my fitness regimen. I walk as and when I find time...and even after auditions, I walk back home happily!
Dream role
I am looking forward to do something out of the box. Playing someone bald, a beggar, someone gone bonkers...I want to explore the medium to live different eccentric lives that we have seen around.
