The only thing that really roused my emotions today is the MAKEUP! Let me first vent some here before I proceed to the episode.
I think the make up man was under the influence of prohibited intoxicants because nothing else can explain that garish makeup making a baby doll appear as an example of a an experiment gone horribly wrong! What was that golden eye liner and that 10 inch thick makeup? Niti Taylor is sweet and innocent looking with big,beautiful eyes and a petite structure but the garish makeup and the 100 kg flaming red lehenga with all that heavy jewellery and bridal veil made her look haggard and certainly NOT PRETTY! When the show has no story or substance,we need to focus on something that will be pleasing. The set designer has excelled 99 out of 100 times (he/she failed when designing the room of Shivaansh in the initial episodes of leap) but the current make up guy is either having a inspirational crisis or is hell bent on professional harakiri.
The script writer is now beyond all my hopes for return back to her initial excellence.The way her mind is working is putting me in serious doubt about the mental faculties! Are people really so dumb that they don't even think or doubt for a second ? Sonya suddenly becoming all coy and putting on a ghunghaat and certainly not talking in her specialised drawl should have raised the alarm by now in everyone's mind! I mean the girl who asks the mehendiwali to write the name of the groom on her own hand just to get he look of it is suddenly not talking and being all traditional--- shouldn't that itself raise a suspicion that everything is not right? What is Khanna's job profile? Having the word 'bodyguard' inscribed on his clothes certainly did not make him one!
About Mannat--- Niti Taylor has not exceeded beyond her 3 expressions- one fangirling,two crying,three making that weird combination of horror and tears! Where is the versatility?I am losing that hope I had on her. I am seriously bored with all that hand flapping and that horror stuck crying face.
Nakuul Mehta these days projects only one expression and body language --utter boredom and I don't blame him.When you get married 9 times in the same show (first semi marriage with Tia which Annika interrupted and they went on with the phokat Raja track,second- forced marriage with Annika,third nakli marriage with Tia in the memory loss track,fourth- remarriage with Annika,fifth- Roop arranged marriage with that imposter,sixth- nikaah with Annika,seventh- forced marriage with Annika in redux,eighth- happy remarriage with Annika in redux and now ninth with Mannat!) you tend to be on automaton mode.đ
I think someone who has not tasted the 'Dilli ka laddoo' is fulfilling her wishes second hand by getting the male character married again and again and I have full faith that for Shivaansh Singh Oberoi this will not be the first time.đ
I am finding Varun/Zaan Khan more versatile and entertaining. Period.
