She relies on the rating too much which is important to stay in business but you have to have some faith in your story to follow through at least one strong. Shows like Kuch rang pyar ke, ek duje ke vaaste, and yeh un dino ki baat don't get high TRPs but there story lines haven't been compromised. Gul starts out with good ideas and then she abandons them right away if she doesn't get a good result. Never followed through with IB though so can't say anything. I saw few episodes here and there in earlier days and don't know why do they have a redux of it. but yeah, this show will probably get more and more weird if they are introducing leaps because of one actor leaving. If they would've worked on their story and build up the ensemble cast, they wouldn't have this problem.

also it's super weird how she blames online fans for the unpopularity of her tracks. Most of the online fans stick through the goddamn shows. I stuck with IPKKND 1 till the end. It's those who watch the show live are the ones whose unresponsiveness is what she should care about. blaming track changes on online fans and there reactions is the stupidest thing ever. she should elarn from ekta how to stick with a story. her shows are terrible but at least they don't switch stories until they've reached a desired end. they get weird if they keep on going and the story has already ended. then her shows get real crazy. but still, ekta;s shows have the story what she shows in her promos before the story starts. they don't just focus on one person when they have four characters who are instrumental. just look at the joke of a show kumkum bhagya and kundali bhagya. at least the cast that counts have their own character arcs. her actors leave show after they get tired of repetitive tracks.

@bold...well not only the ratings, what I have observed is that when online fans create ruckus about the track, the tracks are ended/changed abruptly and the actual story is never told...

the best example of that is REDUX...There was a lot of dissent with respect to the characterizations when redux was started...and without even allowing the story to unfold, the characters were flipped in every episode leaving viewers with bad taste...

@bold blue...well leap is not happening bcoz one of the actors is leaving...in fact IB is probably Gul's first show where main leads never ever complained or showed tantrums about the tracks or story line... Gul wanted to do the leap and hence she is removing all cast and only retaining ML to play the son of the couple, Shivika...

Ishqbaaaz had so much scope and Shivika of RU was unique. I sometimes am astonished that the same writer came up with this! Often writer's have 'writer's block'; I understand, empathise and commiserate and the Ishqbaaaz fandom have been very accommodating and I am sure would have been in future too but no!; the CVs went off in another tangent and in the process ruined some iconic characters.

Anyways,as the producer-writer duo says it's their creation and they have every right to do whatever they want with their creation,so besides venting out our frustration and then choosing a different path/channel,as once pointed by our esteemed producer that there are 800 other shows to choose,we can do nothing else it seems. So much for loyal viewership!!!!

There is no denying that Shivika of RU are unique and the beautiful portrayal by NM-SC made class apart from the couples of ITV...❤️ One of the rare kind of combination of best written characters and couple story with the good looking actors and their undeniable awesome chemistry !

When the writer was not able to write something substantial for the other two couples and instead gave standing lines and parroting dialogues, I thought may be it was difficult to write for 3 couples and hence choosing easy way out...
But redux did prove that even for Shivika our writer was not able write any thing substantial...the redux which was to test Shivika love was turned into some thing else altogether...

I guess you are right..there is no point pouring our emotions over this...this is a spoilt milk now and no matter what we do, we can never have a happy ending ! The way this is getting ended will always have an impact !

Rohini, as you have reminded me, I liked Ishana character, but not the way they proceeded with it. Completely illogical. But I must remember myself that IB started out as best Rom-Com youngster family show. If only they stuck to their original ideas and characters, it would have become a show like friends' with the best ensemble cast! Alas! Makers have killed their gold-laying goose with an idea to acquire all gold in one shot!

Yes the characters and comic timings during the first 100 or so episodes was great barring Ishaana track...
But those never fetched them real numbers in TRP race...
To cater to 3 different love stories in a span of 21 min is real big task unless you have a competent writing team...which knowing Gul, we know is not possible...her writing team is always the same and we know how much of rinse and repeat has been done in last 700 episodes even for Shivika...

Rom-com types works for a seasonal shows...not for a daily soap...ppl loved initial IB but what held mostly fans through last 700 episodes is Shivika...

Whether leap works or not or how much time will it be on air, we never know..we are not TRP audience...and I have never really understood the pulse of TRP audience...looking at the BARC chart every Thursday reminds me that...😆

So true we can't predict the future of the new season. But, the new season is already burdened with the baggage that it's laden with from the first season. NM's performance, chemistry with the new lead, supporting cast & everything else is going to get compared with what has gone by. Gul & her writing team never stick to the story they want to tell. It's either change actors, modify tracks accordingly to social media feedbacks or try some cliched TRP stuff which fails. What worked was the patience of the Shivika fans, to stick to the crappy writing. For the new season new fans may come in. What remains to be seen is after the initial curiosity who remain to watch? Because we all are very aware of the rinse repeat story line, the terribly etched layered arcs of our writer along with her limited range in writing.

It is solely the writing team which has brought about the debacle of the current IB, no matter what the channel or makers say. Whatever the kind of writer's block HS & her team are facing, is a long term problem for sure!!

"Rinse and repeat how can we even forget!!! If only we had protested, instead of trolling, we would have faced the end of Shivika and IB Long before instead of tragic end of Shivika and IB going on!!! For the love of Shivika, we put up with everything though face palming and head desking!!! Now too our love for Shivika, facing tragic end along with them.

One thing, I agree, TRP audiences get news of the spoilers only from SBS, SBB, etc. They are not aware of the actual story behind the scene. They just know what is telecasted on TV, have no clue on the effort put behind the making of the show. Channel and PH taking advantage of this. But they forget that IB has run so Long only coz of online audiences!!!! Let's c. I am ready with popcorns and French fries

Its not that fans didn't protest...but our writers have the habit of taking the feedback from the online viewers and immediately changed the tracks or end them abruptly...Redux is perfect example...they set out the journey very differently for Shivika but then all fans had protested that our Annika is not like this and our Shivaay is not like this...we want our Khidkithod Annika back and Tadibaaaz Shivaay back...and with all the back story that they created for redux Shivika, the way the writers flipped the characters left bad taste...
Every day Shivaay and Annika would behave differently in redux...

@bold...well I cannot disagree to this...there is a lot of baggage for NM and to top it Shivika have set the bar too high to be able to achieve that thing again...I hope makers dont try to recreate the same thing again...but with the same director and same ML, there is always a chance of comparison...

@blue...very true...if they continue this post leap, then its not very good...writers need to stick to their characters and their story line...even if changes are to be incorporated to give for TRP race, they need to work diligently and for long term...
