I have been thinking about how easily makers and writers blamed Shivika for not working and thus chucked them off for the leap...

But when you think back, this is how our writers have been from day one.

When Ishaana track was disliked by fans (as claimed by Gul after Vrushika has been ousted), writers simply choose to write off that character and ended her track...I am also one of the fans who hated the Mala-Bela track...But they never really sat back and thought about to make the character more interesting...

Next came Rumya and Saumya... After the initial dynamics that played out between Rumya, Sumo was still part of the story but I think it was easy because she has been staying in OM unlike Ishaana's character.. and then writers did the drunken marriage of them but never really worked on that later on .. yes there were moments in between but not a track to address their story ..

By then DBO started and a start for Rumya was told...but then after one sequence Rumya were never part of DBO and though Sumo came back in IB, nothing really happened...

And when writers didn't know how to take the story forward, they simply wrote off character and let go of Sumo and hence Rumya...

And about Rikara and Ruvya, well I haven't watched DBO so not sure what happened though I came to know all the sci-fi experiments done there. But in IB there were never any substance for these two couples though they are present in the show, even now. And partly also bcoz Gul claims that this a Obros show and needed Obros and their life partners.

And now that IB ratings have dwindled especially in redux, Shivika are blamed and chucked them off with remaining characters for their next story which is the leap...

This makes me wonder, our writers never really worked on aspects that didn't ring a bell with audience from day one. Instead they focused on getting new story, new lead for the characters for the sake of freshness that they wanted which they couldn't get with previous characters...

They seemed to be under the impression that bringing a new character is going to give them that scope of writing a story/track better than the tracks that haven't worked.

Well in all the cases they have clearly failed until now which by now they should have realized that its not the characters that are not working but their lack of story telling power that can hold audience on the TV screen...

Hello there...what IB is undergoing today is because of the useless writing. For the first 100 episodes or so there was content, later on no matter how lousy the script was Shivika & maybe for some Obros managed to grab the attention & loyal fans stuck on. Of course, along with Shivika some other characters also offered the support for sustenance. But none of the other characters got the justification they deserved. Along with Shivika in the centre so many stories could have been spun by including the wonderful cast they had. IB has the privilege of some very good actors on its side but alas the sub par writing ruined everything.

Ironically, once the redux happened even the Shivika charm faded away. Annika as a character had the maximum flip. All she was reduced to was mouthing pati patni dialogs & crying in every scene. Shivika never really had a love story in the redux. The whole plot got washed away in the redux, which started on an interesting premise but once again failed due to lame & lazy writing. It spelled doom for the whole show With the magician track & it has been downhill since.

There has been no long term story in the background for a while now. Episode to episode it's so senseless at times & at times we need to take it as a stand alone. To pacify fans they just throw in Shivika scenes, but do not understand an actual story with intrigue is needed. The number of times Shivika remarried shows actual dearth of story ideas.

Finally when they are going down everything under the sun is being blamed but the makers & writer are not willing to accept that the only department that failed whole of IB is its writing team. Ever since the social messages episodes started it's been a conundrum of absurdities.

With this writing team the maker expects to induce freshness. How may I ask? With such a good cast to deliver, fantastic behind the camera team to deliver, a very loyal fandom to stick with them the writers tanked the whole show. Yes, it was your own creation in the first place makers, then why did you trample on it so mercilessly?

From day one obviously we can't predict how the writer sahiba butchers this show.Otherwise we wouldn't have started watching this show.

Eventhough i watched IPK here & there before IB i was not aware about offscreen stuff and the history of Gul & Co.So when i started watching i had obviously very high expectations i dont even know it is gul's show by then.Honestly i liked Anika,Rudy,Omkara in the beginning as SSO was shown rude or any other angry young men trope of gul in those epusodes.And also i was fan of korean series then so i foolishly expected such range of stories for all the three couples when i started watching.Slowly Shivaay grew on me and NM's billu and Anika's banters were my most favourite.Ofcourse i liked Rumya,eventhough they didnt have proper track.Soumya have some unique interesting personality imo and RuMya chemistry was my next favourite to Shivika's.Soumya's love angel and their cute fights i liked the couple.

Honestly i typed a long essay ihow Neha,SC,Vrushika are victims and how unprofessional on the part of Gul to throw out FLs or parallel FLs just like that for the lack of creativity of your own creative team.It just cant acceptible in any way.Atleast take ownership for why the tracks failed to get trp if not capable of writing if you have guts.But dont put the blame on characters/couples or actors for your fault like a looser.

I typed a very long essay to post on the other thread but when i pressed the post button by then the thread got closed 😆.Here i just had written it briefly in above para😆.

Now i could clearly predict which parts of IB was written by Harneet.As far as my observation of the pattern of this show,until first forced Shadi harneet singh clearly not written it may be she helped in social message of women empowerment and Gender equality🤣 a small disscussion in Mallika track😆.Then Forced shaadi definitely by Harneet as i remember her insta post where i felt she getting feels or orgasms seeing that bhoom promo or sequence😆.And regressive stuff of post shaadi week was also her karnama😆.Ofcourse Daksh water tank sequence too😆.

But whatever Shivika progression happened after that FM was written by someone.Those blush lessons,dard sequence,kuch feel hua sequence,jungle track, some parts of NKK track except Nayantara,and all catlady ki bas ki baath nahi hai if we consider recent special feel hua sequence which is a lame reboot or copy paste of original writers.How i forgot shitty Fake memory loss track which is also belongs to her😆

And Pinky three finger arc,Shivika first separation and everything after merger harneeth started as show runner from there itself i guess.Vanvas track was also poorly written but the actors NM,SC,Leenesh acting made 2 weeks of that track special otherwise the writer was all over the place.The groupbaazi,parroting lines,group romance,pia track ofcourse baby pari track with lame girls gang all those ideas are obviously catlady's only Including lame Kalyani mills raj,second shivika separation,social msgs and Redux😆.

NM-SC manged to Shine beyond all this and made Shivika a special iconic couple in whole ITV history in RU.

Sorry for the long essay😆.I think i put it very randomly regarding sequence of tracks, but if i look back at all the tracks,now i am memorizing randomly all these and this is my analysis regarding writing of the show😆

Agreed with everything you all said.

If I vent , it will be repeating the same thing again.

As of now I've stopped watching and that too even on external sites. I now get my fix through Shivaka fiction.

@bold..How I wish makers and PH answered this question honestly ! I am all ears if they ever want to answer the question !

Well you said it all... what ever we are seeing today is only because of the pathetic writing right from the redux started...its not that writing was too great before that but Shivika had their progression and the lead pair NM-SC did their job perfectly well and made us believable...

Shivika did have an awesome journey in RU though there were lot of tracks that were started and closed randomly without proper lay out !

But redux, there were Shivaay and Annika but Shivika story was never there...both Shivaay and Annika had tracks with others but not to themselves except for the FM which in itself had a very weak base...

I had hoped that after FM, there would be some progression or some journey towards becoming soulmates...but Alas Shivika have become everything but soul mates...the whole premise of the redux was just brushed under the carpet ..

I still remember HS IV about redux being a gift to Shivika fans and I can see that this gift has left a sour taste in all the fans along with killing off them to accommodate the leap !

Well, makers doesn't seem to realise that and following the same illusion that new characters bringing in the new freshness for the story !

Unless Gul changes her writing team, I dont have much hope from leap. I did hear that she is getting back Mrinal (one of the three from her initial IB days) for post leap story !

Too much cat fur in the brain of lekhikaji to really introspect and realise what cat poop she has been presenting recently. But NO!!! with an ego as tall as Empire State Building she thinks that she is dishing out Michelin starred delicacies for us!!! * please insert a sarcastic gif*

Ishqbaaaz had so much scope and Shivika of RU was unique. I sometimes am astonished that the same writer came up with this! Often writer's have 'writer's block'; I understand,empathise and commiserate and the Ishqbaaaz fandom have been very accommodating and I am sure would have been in future too but no!; the CVs went off in another tangent and in the process ruined some iconic characters.

Anyways,as the producer-writer duo says it's their creation and they have every right to do whatever they want with their creation,so besides venting out our frustration and then choosing a different path/channel,as once pointed by our esteemed producer that there are 800 other shows to choose,we can do nothing else it seems. So much for loyal viewership!!!!

I wouldn't go into the details of whether HS wrote it or not... She has been credited as Screen Writer from the beginning of the show. But I also remember Gul posted the pic of her 3 writers of IB, HS, mrinal and Abhijeet and this is during early days of IB start...

Since then writing team had lot of changes, but HS is a constant factor...

This is very true... i agree the characters have been conceived by the makers but what made them iconic is the portrayal by these two wonderful actors...the unsaid chemistry that these two shared is very very rare...and thats what made Shivika different from all the other couples of ITV. Yes there are lot of good looking on screen couples, but none can match the chemistry that these two actors shared on screen...but alas, our makers seem to be in their lala land...

Exactly this... this is what is bugging me...how can some one not see this ? How can makers be so blind to what went wrong ? Its not that Gul and her team are new in this field and she has seen and experienced it first hand and yet she delves into the same thing again and again...

haha...we are in the same sailing boat...it was just something that came to my mind when discussing about how can makers do such things...

but alas realised that its not new for them...its the thing that they followed from day one...until now every one but Shivika got affected and finally even Shivika is not spared from their shitty writing...

Gul doesn't believe in her own stories. She did that with IPKKND 1, IPKKND 3, and Qabool Hai. She relies on the rating too much which is important to stay in business but you have to have some faith in your story to follow through at least one strong. Shows like Kuch rang pyar ke, ek duje ke vaaste, and yeh un dino ki baat don't get high TRPs but there story lines haven't been compromised. Gul starts out with good ideas and then she abandons them right away if she doesn't get a good result. Never followed through with IB though so can't say anything. I saw few episodes here and there in earlier days and don't know why do they have a redux of it. but yeah, this show will probably get more and more weird if they are introducing leaps because of one actor leaving. If they would've worked on their story and build up the ensemble cast, they wouldn't have this problem.

also it's super weird how she blames online fans for the unpopularity of her tracks. Most of the online fans stick through the goddamn shows. I stuck with IPKKND 1 till the end. It's those who watch the show live are the ones whose unresponsiveness is what she should care about. blaming track changes on online fans and there reactions is the stupidest thing ever. she should elarn from ekta how to stick with a story. her shows are terrible but at least they don't switch stories until they've reached a desired end. they get weird if they keep on going and the story has already ended. then her shows get real crazy. but still, ekta;s shows have the story what she shows in her promos before the story starts. they don't just focus on one person when they have four characters who are instrumental. just look at the joke of a show kumkum bhagya and kundali bhagya. at least the cast that counts have their own character arcs. her actors leave show after they get tired of repetitive tracks.
