THE REVENGE- Part (b)

Shivay's POV

Her shoulders were slumped and eyes cast down in a mournful gaze as she stared out of her window and I looked at her from mine. I sighed in frustration remembering the previous night. I regret doing this to her inspite of what Tej and Kamini had done with his family. It was not something that can be forgotten or forgiven. Each and every minute I have spent till today was with a purpose, taking revenge from the family who had betrayed his own. Yet, I never got pleasure hurting Anika. Her pure heart and innocent eyes were a reflection of my evolution from a naive child to the monstrous man I am today.

Breaking all my thoughts, Tia came from behind and hugged me. She spoke, "Shivay baby! Are you aware of what happened to our factory? All this negative energy around us is responsible for this.

I was exasperated by this Lady's words. If only she had a little amount of brain, I could have made her do the things I force Anika to do. But, her dumbness was beyond tolerance.

"You can go home along with Anika and stay there for a few days.

She made that dumb pout again like she didn't want to go, which irritated me to the core. I pity Tej for having a daughter like her who is not bothered about her own father and on the other hand was Anika, caring and concerned.

Author's POV

Anika packed her bags and went outside to see Shivay on the driver's seat. She was about to sit behind when Shivay gestured her to sit beside him. She frowned and went to sit beside him.

"You know what has to be done right? he spoke steering the wheel towards the Singhania mansion. She nodded unwillingly. Though no one (except Omkara) in that family loved her or cared for her as she was illegitimate daughter of Tej Singhania, she has always respected them and the integrity of her family was of prime importance. Yet, bankrupting her own father against honour of the family, how could she possibly choose one of them?

His hands were frailty and shaking gently as Anika stood in front of his door observing her own father drowned in deep sorrow. It just added up to her guilt. Clearly, she cannot rob her own father but what about Tia? What if those clips go public?

With such questions in her mind, she walked past the corridors when she saw Omkara engrossed in his own art unperturbed by what is going around.

"Om, aren't you worried? ", she questioned surprisingly.

Omkara smiled and replied, "Di, this was bound to happen. In fact, I am happy it did. Mr Tej Singania, had to fail for how miserable he has made others to achieve success. I have seen him and my mother being avaricious and rapacious for a very long time. They deserve this. They have separated you from me in the most ruthless manner I had imagined. For me they were dead since the moment Beeji told me about that night, hence, I don't care.

He hugged his Anika Di tight as she hugged her back trying to calm down the rage inside him.

They headed towards their favorite place, a corner of the garden with a shallow stream passing by and a huge banyan tree, they had played around as children. They felt nostalgic remembering the time when Omkara had made his first painting under the shade of the tree of his beautiful sister playing with the water flowing in the stream.

She was not his sister but a mother instead. She had always understood him better than himself. Tej had wanted Omkara to look after his business but he wanted to paint as he was least interested in his father's business. Anika was the one who convinced Tej to let Omkara pursue art as his career and started working with Tej in place of him.

Since childhood she was always beaten by Kamini and Ranveer as she was unwanted according to them, saved by Beeji most of the times. But, as Anika grew up and Kamini saw her and Om's bond getting stronger she tortured Anika in all ways possible and with this Omkara's hatred for Kamini and Ranveer grew several folds, to an extent where he slapped Kamini once right across her cheeks when he saw her hitting Anika with a belt. He later went to Tej to support him and protect his sister but he had surrendered himself to that mean lady long back.

hat day, Anika took an important decision in her life and requested Omkara to go to London to pursue his career instead of fighting her battles here. She did not want him to live a life he did not deserve. He obliged with a promise to take her with him the next he comes.

But, when he returned after becoming successful to India, what he saw was her sister was married off to Shivay by force because Tia ran away from her own wedding.

He had still requested her several times to come back and they would go to London leaving everything behind but she refused as she was bound by the contract she was made to sign that night.

They sat under the banyan tree on the rocky steps close to each other for a long time soaking in the silence and feeling each others' warmth at the same time.

"Di, do you remember the last time we sat like this? he asked holding his Di's hands.

"The day you had slapped Kamini aunty she answeredI have always wanted you to stay out of all the issues in our family. But, no matter how hard I try they never resolve. I am tired, Om. I really am. she continued as tears cascaded down her orbs.

She wiped them off with her palms and spoke in a voice so strong and determined, Om had never heard before.

"Enough now! I want all of this to end. I want to live like a normal person.I want to live with my own family, a happy family, with you, Beeji and Papa where no one is helpless, heart broken or mean. she concluded with a bright gleam in her eyes.

"I have a plan, Om and I need you. she told looking towards him

"I am ready, Di. he replied.

They tightened the hold of their hands determined to play with destiny and change it forever.

Guys! Is the story not that good? or do you want me to improvise on something because the response I have got is frankly discouraging😭 Please give your suggestion good or bad it really counts.
