Anika's POV

I have been trying since a long time.

"Grrr...this is so difficult. I was exhausted now. I was about to put down the ointment when a pair of hands snaked mine from behind leaving me shocked. That sweet-smelling, ambrosial aroma I recognized immediately. His touch made me shiver. His palms played with mine till they got hold of that ointment.

The edge of his fingers grazed my milky white skin creating havoc inside me. The harder I tried to resist, the naughtier the touch got.

He turned me around, his fingers lingered around my slender neck before sweeping my long black hair to the front. Steadily, he undid the zip of my salwar, pulling it down till my waist. He pulled it from both sides making the gap wider. He unhooked my bra next still holding me in his arms.

I was not shocked now rather embarrassed as he stared at my exposed back with his blazing gaze through the mirror in front of us. He applied the ointment neatly on all my scars as I continued to stare at the second button of his kurta oblivious to the inner turmoil inside me. My breathe was getting hoarser. I don't think I will be able to look into his eyes anytime soon.

Shivay's POV

It was not about curing her flesh, I wish I could take away all the pain and grief these scars showed. Somehow, they pinched me in my heart. I desperately wanted to know who did this to her. When I saw her struggling through my favorite spot, I could not control myself. Her pain drove me towards her. Now, I feel attracted towards her emotionally. And, at that moment I wanted to kiss her because I don't think I will ever be able to confess how much I love her, how much I have loved her all this time and how much I will continue loving her.

Once I applied the ointment, I left her free from my hold. She was still staring at that button; her cheeks were red out of embarrassment. I handed over the ointment to her with a generous smile and she took it away in her shaking hands.

"Don't put that on. Let it be, I ordered pointing towards her zip. She nodded positively and I left from there, thus ending that awkward moment.

The Next day

Author's POV

"BOOM! he stared at the building blazing into flames, reflection of his inner inferno in front of his eyes gave him immeasurable pleasure. This was the second step towards his revenge. Escorted by his men, he escaped into thin air.

The phone rang for the umpteenth time when Anika stepped out of the shower. She immediately picked it up wondering who would be calling so many times at this hour.

"Anika beta! came the distraught voice of Beeji from the other end, "Beta, SINGHANIA Factory caught fire this evening. Please, come to the site as soon as possible.

Shocked would be an understatement. She hurriedly moved out of the mansion and instructed the driver to take her to Singhania Factories as fast as possible.

She reached there to find Tej sitting on the ground with tears in his eyes. She ran straight to him and hugged him.

"Don't worry! Everything will be alright. She tried to console him by holding him tight. She watched the flames eating up the hard work of her father and she was helpless.

Beeji too joined them in their grief while Omkara was coordinating with the fire-fighting team as they failed to control the fire because of the huge stock of fabrics inside.

"We are doomed, Anika. Yesterday, we had got all the supplies of the Oberoi-Singhania deal which we were supposed to launch next week in a fashion show. The loss is to the tune of crores. Months of hard work will go in vain and the company, what will happen now? panicked Tej.

Anika was trying her best to comfort him but even she knew that this fire has destroyed everything they had and now no one knows what will happen. Does Shivay know of this? She left Tej with Beeji and thought of informing Shivay of this situation, he might help them, she thought.

Before she could make that call, she saw him in front of him. With a new ray of hope, she ran towards him and hugged him tight with such force that he bounced back.

"Shivay! The Factory...fire she tried to speak between her sobs and hugged him back again.

He gently placed his fingers on her lips and told her to calm down.

"Anika, Come with me he told. He held her hands and drove towards a place unknown to her.

Anika was confused. She got from the car. The place was isolated and did not feel familiar at all.

"What place is this? Why are we here? she questioned. He smirked looking towards her and cupped her face between his palms muddling her further.

"I love your innocence, dear wifey he sniggered. The gentle touch turned into a hard one as Shivay squeezed her cheeks between his finger and pulled her harshly towards him.

"Do you, by any chance, use your brains? Have you? he took a pause looking into her deep orbs, "Because, I wanted so!

Her eyes opened wide as she just stared at him. Mustering some courage, she asked, "Did you...Did you burn our factory?

"Yes! I did. He replied triumphant and proud of his disgusting achievement.

Using all her strength, she pushed him back and held his collar before questioning the audacity of this man in front her, "How dare you Mr Shivay Singh? How dare you do this to my family? Just because Tia ran away from the wedding that day, you stooped this low to get your revenge. I knew it, the day Tia came to the mansion, that there was something going on in your mind. You are not a person to forgive someone, I know. But this! Yet, there is no reason to be happy because for your very kind information you have chosen a wrong day Mr Singh. The clothing line and supplies for OB-Singhania merger had arrived the previous day. So, now you are the one who will lose crores of money. She concluded.

He laughed at her and pushed her away from himself, hence adjusting his collar, "Anika! You are so funny. Funny! To believe that I did all of this for Tia.

She stared at him like he has gone mad.

"No, Anika. I did this because I want your family to live in gutters. Before, he could finish his sentence she slapped him tight on his cheeks turning them red in an instant.

"Don't you dare say a word against my family.

He clutched her shoulders and pinned her between the car and himself. He pulled out his mobile and showed her a video of Tia and Dushyant running away from their wedding and later in a hotel room in a compromising position.

"Now, you listen to me. You have to get me all the bank account details and passwords of your father Mr Tej Singhania by next Monday. If you don't then this footage will be over media and your so called family's reputation will be in the drains. Understood!

A stream of tears fell down her orbs. She could not believe her own eyes. All the things have transpired today was too much for her mind to comprehend. The man looking towards her with anger today was the same one who had healed her the previous day. The fact that they got married under difficult circumstances explained his behaviour towards her but today, she got to know his real intention. He wanted to destroy her entire family The SINGHANIA
