I like posting reaction cat gifs, if some people gets michmichi from the cats , then they should ignore my post , it's my way of expressing things and I think as per IF everyone can within the framework of its rules! If I put a reaction cat gif for the characters I like or don't like , my rights , if I want to put five cats instead of six - my rights too ! This is what I understood from the discussions that's happening here 😆

Umm... don't know how to jump in here as the place seems quite hot.
I write disclaimers with my fiction and I do that often. But, the reason is I like putting them as a danger flag to the audience. After that , it is their wish to continue they can. But, that is my personal way and my reason. It is my decision if I want to put a disclaimer or not. The person reading it should be mature enough to segregate what they want to read and what not.I can never even think of fan-fictions being asked to be removed. For me, it is quite unfortunate that our forum cannot look beyond their favourites.Creativity of a person should never be hindered on the basis of favouritism. That's awful my point of view.P.S.: To be honest , I don't have anything against you or your post, Nakshatra. And I know you have put this post under a noble effort for making the writer's work on safe side. But still, I believe people on IF should learn to be more mature.
Navin, you know that you're always going to be one of my favourite writers on the IB forum, and nothing will change that. As a writer myself, I completely agree with everything you're saying, but I just have a few bones to pick.First off, I do think its a bit ridiculous that people are reporting fanfiction; don't like, don't read. I don't mean to name-shame here, but I do remember a Swetlana - Gauri fic that's premise looked interesting at the forefront, and so I ended up reading it, despite the fact that I have absolutely no interest in RiKara, but I pulled out halfway through because it ended up carrying multiple low-key digs at Annika, Bhavya and ShivIka. Personally, I'm not keen on that. And this is what I do have a problem with. I get that certain people resent certain actors/characters, as do I. But personally, I find chanelling that into writing slightly petty. I usually do not hold much interest in RiKara, unless it is pertaining to the characters themselves separately, so in my stories, they're on nice, happy holidays or too 'busy' in the background to be discussed in the story. I don't throw low-key digs at them, or their love story throughout my work, because I respect that they have fans of their own, and honestly, its unwanted trouble. This is what I don't understand. If you don't like a couple, why bother writing about them? Why not completely obliterate them from your stories? Pretend like they don't exist? What is the need to drag them into a story, when clearly, neither the author, nor their audience has any interest in them? I'm sorry Navin, I'm all for creative liberty (because god knows I exercise too much of it), but this goes over my head.At this point in time, it seems to me that some writers are using fanfiction to channel their resentment towards characters, as a mere medium for things that cannot be said on the main forum, which I honestly feel is laughably petty, and an insult to writing, in itself. In saying that however, @people who are reporting fanfiction, honestly, just relax and don't read it. Just ignore writing that you would rather not see; I daresay, a lot of ShivIka fans are doing that these days (judging by the forum ranks and all), and its working out fine for the rest of us!ps. You can bash all you want, my loves, but don't expect an answer!
