PART SIXTEEN

To say she was happy would be an understatement. Finally after a long two years, she had got someone to talk to. A birthday gift that she would enjoy, secretly. Being what she was, she preferred to keep her worries and pain to herself alone with her. Nor once till now did she even tried to share it with anyone else. Though the people here were sweet and loving but the connection was never made with anyone. But now she had him, to tell everything, and she was sure that he would never judge her without hearing the whole thing. She was excited not because she was going to chat with someone secretly, but because after years there would be someone who would hear her.

She stared at the note for hours looking at each word carefully. Truth to be told, this man had a beautiful penmanship. For her he had the most beautiful signature she had ever witnessed in her life. The perfect floe of the pen, the perfect strokes at the end of each single letter, the perfect space marks, the perfect halts, it had the perfect everything. This man surely knew that writing is an art and he was just perfect in it.

She flipped the letter only to find "give it to Mr Awasthi written on it. She had a sigh of relief because she knew being a man what would be going in Omkara's heart better. She now could not trust her instincts as long ago she already have been proven wrong regarding the same. She thought she knew him but after what all happened she knew she was wrong in getting his feelings correct. She wanted to ask him a lot of questions. How to know that a guy is sincere with his words? Will anyone say I love you even if he just had an attraction and nothing else? Is it possible for anyone to fall for a girl he hates? Were some questions she had in her mind. Some questions that she needed an answer of.

Mr Achintyah

Thank you so much sir for giving me the opportunity of letting me share my worries with you. I am sorry if I interrupted you in between something. As you know I an going to be graduated in an year and I still need to learn a lot from you and many of my teachers here. But there are a lot of things I have my mind juggling with. Only if you can help me with it. I would love to talk to you in person sir. My number is #####
I am not forcing you on this but still if you have some time it would be really amazing for me to have a talk with you.

I am grateful for everything you have done for me... Very very grateful

Regards
Gauri

She closed the letter with a smile on her face and wrapping it in an envelope she gave it to the person she was asked to.

Two weeks passed but neither there was a text, nor a call that she got from him. She didn't take it negatively knowing that he was a very busy man or perhaps too old to use a mobile phone though. Didn't know about anything but the fact that she was being impatient always made her laugh on herself. "I will wait for it Mr Achintyah she smiled.

But finally after two days there came Mr Awasthi with the note in his hand. It was as usual wrapped in a white envelope with nothing written above it. She knew who it was which made her jump off her chair to reach it as soon as possible. She thought there would never be a chance that she would befriend the man as successful and rich as him but she was wrong

Miss Sharma

I received your letter and must say there was a wide smile on my face. You have a beautiful penmanship.

But why do you suddenly want to talk to me in person? Anything wrong?

Yes, I am glad that it is your graduation in an year now and that is giving me jitters, I don't know why. I think you will receive a price, which is my true gut feeling. I know I might be wrong but remember when I told you that you will be in your Dean's list and you actually made it, I was correct then. This time too I have a similar feeling... Mark my words

Anyway if you need anything then keep in touch with me, just give me your letter to the bearer of the note and I will surely reply

Have a great day

Regards

Achintyah.

The feeling was different and truly very special. As if she had received a love letter from a very special person. Love letter??? Seriously... She slapped the back of her head. Indeed he was special and she admired him, but girl possibly he would be a granddad with two children and their children too. Stop thinking rubbish.

Choosing a white paper she continued writing

Mr Achintyah

Thank you for replying. I really loved it, and until now can't believe that you actually replied. Thank you sir for sparing me a moment of your precious time.

An award, really?? Well indeed if I got one I would love to dedicate it to the most important people in my life, my mom and o... and you of course, for being the best benefactor in the world. I do feel that you would be a great husband and a great dad too. Some day I wish I would be like you to help everyone who is a needy.

On why I wrote this letter is that something is bothering me lately and I need a guy friend to help me figure things out. I don't think I am ready to share it right now. Perhaps the next time.

Again, thank you so much sir

Regards

Gauri

And smiling she handed the note to the bearer as he went out of her room.

After an hour or so she got a call with Shweta' written on it. "Hello she placed it near her ears. "Chirraiya, wouldn't you come down and see the beautiful scenery here? Shweta's voice had a hint of anger. "What did David do now? she sighed. "It's not David. It's your Omkaraji here doing waltz with Shreya she didn't speak anything. "Come down now Shweta ordered. "Let him do whatever he wants to, I am least interested her eyes were closed. "Come down now. And show him that it doesn't affects you. Don't sit there understand... Come down and she disconnected. She sighed. She knew what will happen if she went down "why every time I start thinking of everything to be good something happens to make it even worse she stood up and walked down.

Reaching the hall, she saw him smiling as his hands were wrapped around Shreya, one of the most beautiful girls of the place as both were dancing happily. Something pierced her heart as she wanted to hold him by collar and slap him hard across his face. But luckily him that she was able to control herself. Why would she be affected? She had already given up and there was nothing to be worried about now.

"Didaaa a kid ran towards her and hugged her. "Dida.. Ishtudy... the little kid said. "Come let's take you too the class room she smiled at the kid. Omkara's eyes turned to her. "Gauri, listen... but she kept walking. "Listen to me he blocked her path. "I think Mr Oberoi, you should continue dancing. Your partner must be waiting and crossed him.

I am pretty sure that this Mr. whatever his name is is Omkara. Maybe he wants to make her happy without having her reject him

I must say after 16 parts is there a chance for Gauri to at least be a little nicer and warmer to him? XD ( you always make me feel sorry for Omkara even if he is at fault sometimes xD)

So he danced with that Girl , let him dance with his Ri :)

Okay !! So I'm almost sure that the Achintyah is Omkara. Let's see if you're taking it that way.
Maybe Omkara wants jhaap. How can he dance with Shreya ?!
But I'm fine as Gauri is affected. 😆
Continue soonish.

Short Seventeen

She ran taking the kid in her hand to the play area, in between a lot of children and teachers, away from him or his voice, away from even a glance of him. She knew that the playroom is a place where he won't be able to get her attention and stop running after her. At least the great Omkara Singh Oberoi, the favourite brother of Shivaay Singh Oberoi, would not make himself a joke between kids and teachers, will he? Off cource not and then she will get time to sneak inside her room and lock herself. She wanted to hide, enough so that he never gets a single glance of her.

He came running after her to his room after a while and was about to knock the door when he stopped himself thinking to give her the time she needed. Right now the most important thing was to give her space and he decided to wait until she comes out

Was it jealousy that kept disturbing her? Was she affected by seeing him with another woman? No.. not at all. Gauri, the girl, who gave her husband willingly to Swetlana, for the betterment of his family. The Gauri, who was ready to marry Ajay and the one who had given Omkara once; full freedom from their relationship; would never be jealous of him just dancing with any other girl. But what pricked her heart was the same face, the same voice, the same him coming over and over to her. Why is it needed when she had herself said that he should go? Why is he still after her? This was something she could never understand. But at least she knew where she would get the answers from. She immediately picked out a paper and a pen as soon as she entered her room and started scribbling

Mr Achintyah

Sir,

I still don't know if what I am doing is right or no, but I am in a need is of a friend. A friend who could understand me. A Friend who knows me. And here probably you only seem to be the one that I can trust with my closed eyes. Sorry if I am disturbing you.
Sir there is a friend of mine, who has a husband of hers. They both met and immediately married and started off with the relationship in a very rough phase. It was only the girl who agreed to marriage but the boy thought of a girl as a con and a cheating woman.

The girl decided to carry on her relationship even if the boy never accepted her. But fate made them best of friends somehow and again a cheater in the boys eyes was something the fate itself did. And even after a thousand of tries the girl gave, the boy never agreed to accept her as a pure soul. And one day after accepting her love for him, she left him and freed him from her and their relationship. But the boy did not lost hopes this time and came back to the girl as her same knight in the shining armour. And after a lot of struggle they came back together.

They lived happily and that's where she thought it was her heaven. But again the fate decided to ditch her. All of the family members and even the one she loved and accepted as her life started ignoring her as if she wasn't even there in their lives.

They stared hiding things and never paid attention to any of her wounds. But then being his wife she decided to still carry on. Still she started to serve him and his family and behave like a good daughter-in-aw and a good wife. I think this was not enough, she should have tried more. But she was broken, shattered, tired to give nay explanations to any one and ran away. She ran out of the lives of each and every person she had her heart for. And the same day she died. Not physically but emotionally. She is no more the same person people think she is.

And now after she thought she was successful in killing the feelings inside her. He came back. He says that he wants to take her back to the same place. He says that he wants to give their relationship one more chance. He says that he still loves her. And she is unable to kill those inner feelings. They are still there.
His every gaze brings back those memories. His every world brings back the moments they shared together. His every touch awakens the feelings she had deep buried inside her heart. She doesn't know what to do. She can't take it anymore. She is tired of everything.

Please help!!!

Regards

Gauri

A tear drop on the letter marked the end of the letter with a lot of cut marks over the word I' or me'. She folded it and called Mr Awasthi to take it. She knew she should have gone and given it herself; but right now she didn't had any courage to go and face him. She heard a knock on the door as she opened it finding Mr Awasthi right near it. She handed the letter to him. And as soon as he went she saw a tall frame sting down leaning against the wall with one leg spread and the other held to his chest. "Gauri his eyes met hers and locked together searching for something; maybe forgiveness'.

She immediately decided to shut the door, but before she could she found his leg in between the doo and the frame. "Aap pagal ho gaye hain kya? (Have you gone crazy)? she asked seeing his leg and had a thought of him being in pain. "Darwaza kholo Gauri (Open the door Gauri) was what she heard him say. And as the person she was she opened the gate, because she knew if she doesn't he will hurt himself even more. As soon as she opened the gate she ran aside the room in order to avoid him.
He came inside and clicked the door close. "Gauri, meri baat toh suno (Gauri, listen to me) he repeated the same thing back again.Kya sune hum Omkaraji. Kya sune? Agar aap hume yeh batane aae hain ki hume uss ladki se pareshaan hone ki koi zaroorat nahi hai, toh chod dijiye. Kyunki uss ladki, yaa duniya ki kisi bhi ladki se hum kabhi pareshaan nahi honge. Aur agar aap ko yaad ho, toh vo aap the jisne Swetalana se shaadi karne ka decision liya tha. Aur hum tab bhi vahin the. (What should I listen to Omkaraji? If you are here to tell me that I have to not to worry about that girl, then leave it. Because she or any other girl for that matter won't be a reason for my worries. And if you remember it then it was you who wanted to marry Swelana and when I was still there.) the words caught him as he held his eyes lower. "Rehne dijiye Omkaraji (leave it Omkaraji) she said and started walking.

Suddenly she felt someone holding her hands "Main tumhe kisi ladki ke bare mein kuch samjhane nahi aaya tha (I didn't come to explain you about any girl) he said moving towards her holding her arms out and pressing his chest to her back. "Pata tha mujhe, ki jo vishwaas meri Gauri mujhpe karti hai, voh itna kamzoor nahi hai ki itni jaldi dagmaga jaaye. Pata tha mujhe ki tumhe koi farak nahi padega. (I knew that the kind of trust my Gauri is not that weak. I knew you won't be affected) he whispered in her ears.

"Aap kuch zyada hi nahi soch rahe (aren't you thinking way too much?) his eyebrows joined together in confusion. "Mujhe farak iss liye nahi padta kyunki mujhe aap par vishwaas hai. Mujhe farsk iss liye nahi padta kyunki farak usse padta hai jo aap ka apna ho. Hum naa toh voh Gauri hain aur naa aap humare liye humare voh Omkaraji. Aur ek ajnabee ke kuch bhi karne yaa kehne se hume koi farak nahi padta. Hum aapki voh bewakoof aur voh bachkana harkatein karne waali Gauri nahi hain ab. Toh behtar hoga ki aa yahan se chale jaiye (This reaction is not because I trust you. This reaction is because you get affected only by the actions of your closed ones. Nor I am that Gauri and neither are you my Omkaraji. And I don't get affected by the deeds of any stranger. I am not that stupid and childish Gauri. So it will be better if you would go) she pointed towards the door.
"Chala jaun? Eise hi chala jaun, bina tumhe liye? Aur tumhe lagta hai yeh aasaan hoga mere liye? (Go away? Go away without you? And you think this will be easy for me) he left her arm and came in front. "Meri aaknon mei dekho aur bolo ki tumhe mujhpe bahroa nahi hai. Dehko meri aakhon mein aur bolo kit um meri Gauri ahi ho (Look into my eyes and tell me that you don't trust me. Look into my eyes and tell me that you are not my Gauri) her eyes shifted to match his.

"Nahi hain hum aapki Gauri. Aapki Gauri ussi din mar gayi thi jis din humne Manali ki train pakdi thi. Maar ke aayen hain hum uss Gauri ko usi sheher mein jahan iss prem kahani ko ek mauka dene ka socha tha uss Gauri nein pehli baar. Jahan voh yeh sochke aayi thi ki ek nayi zindagi shuru karegi... aapne Omkaraji ke saath(I am not your Gauri. Your Gauri died the day I took the train here. I killed that Gauri in the same city where she thought of giving a chance to this love story for the first time. The place where she came thinking that she will spend her whole life with... her Omkaraji) tears escaped her eyes and he could feel her shaking under his hold; crying bitterly. He knew if she left her she would drop on the ground instantly.

"Gauri... Gauri..Gauri meri baat suno. Mujhe pata hai ki tumhe bohot takleef pahunchi hai. Aur main manta hun ki uska kaaran main hoon. Par please ek baar.. ek baar mujhe apni voh purani waali Gauri lauta do. Main waada karta hoon, iss baar kuch galat nahi hone doonga. Kuch kharrab nahi hone doonga. Iss baar main sab theek kar doonga. Sab kuch (Gauri... Gauri..Gauri listen to me. I know you are hurt. And I agree that the reason is me. But please for once return me back my old Gauri. I promise you, I won't let anything bad happen. I won't let anything go waste. This time I will make everything alright... Everything) she found the same purity in his eyes that he had the time he confessed that he loved her. She wanted to believe but didn't know how to.

Suddenly her doorbell rang "I will check it he said but she stopped and wiping her tears she ran back to the door and opened it receiving a letter with "Mr Achintyah written over it. She closed her eyes thanking the man. Opening it immediately; she found the paper and un-folded it

Ms Shrama

I read your letter and all I can say is that I don't know who this friend of yours is. But all I can say with my experience is that she should find the truth herself in her man's eyes. We could be different in words and actions but eyes never betray.

I know and I don't say I could understand the amount of pain she must have gone through. But I would suggest her to look into the eyes of the person and then the truth will be right standing in front of her. She would need no struggle to find whether to trust him back or not; because love needs no words. It was expressed through eyes and it will always be expressed trough eyes.

But then, it's her decision... and it should be her to decide

Reguards

Achintyah

As soon as she folded the letter again; she saw him with his eyes filled with tears "main jaanta hoon tum mujhe maaf nahi karogi... Par bas ek baar Gauri... Sirf ek baar mujhe khudko saabit karne ka mauka do. B.. bas ek.. ek baar (I know you would not forgive me. But please give me one chance to prove myself Gauri.. ju.. just one.. one chance) and she knew that he was Omkara. The person who could do anything; but lie and especially to her.

"Hum aapko ek mauka dete hain Omkaraji. Ek mauka uss purani Gauri ko phir se zinda karne ka. Ek mauka hume waapis khud se milane ka (I give you one chance Omkaraji. One chance to bring that old Gauri to life. One chance to make myself the old me) and with that he nodded his head and filled her in his arms. "Thank you... Main waada karta hoon... Main apni Gauri ko waapis launga... apne paas (Thank you... I promise I will bring my Gauri back... to me)

And she knew she was doing it not because Achintyah told her; but because she saw the same love back again in his eyes. The same love... for her
