Chapter 1 :
He looked at her disapprovingly, as he extended his hand to walk with her to the mandap. While the others looked on unaware. She smiled.
"Wait! We need to talk once!" Came a voice. Before she knew, her bridegroom was taken away, while she looked on awkwardly, hoping everything was okay.

"Are you sure about this? Until two days back you were to marry another woman and suddenly ended up in a hurried engagement with her and now...this marriage! " he spoke with concern.
"Is there something you have to tell me?" He added.
Rudra looked at his elder brother, perplexed. Should he or should he not? Sighing he nodded in a no, remembering her words.
"Bhaiya, I love Sumo!" His voice as straight sans any emotion. His brother looked at him sceptically.
Shivaay-"Sure? You can tell me if there is any problem!"
Rudra knew his brother had already suspected something being fishy. But Saumya's words echoed in his ear. She would destroy Shivaay and their family name. He wouldn't let her. She had a asked him to marry her to save his brother and keep their family name intact. Else she would spill the beans of the Kalyani Mill and how Shivaay worked to dig it down.
"Bhaiya I had been a fool. Only when Saumya was about to leave before the engagement (with Bhavya) did I realise, that my happiness was with her and not Bhavya." He explained.
" What about Bhavya Rudra?"
"I don't know!" He replied honestly.
Shivaay dint know what to do. The sudden turn of his brother's heart had left him confused as well. But the good part was the family had come together back again! Nothing could go wrong now!

He looked at her as he applied the vermilion on her forehead, this time in all consciousness. She closed her eyes fearing she would cry. How she wished she dint have to snatch her rights. But if this was the way so be it.
She looked at him as he tied the mangal sutra around her neck. A sudden mixed feeling rose in her. Was she right?
They took the blessings of everyone. Everyone seemed happy. After all it was the wedding of the youngest Oberoi of the family! The third Oberoi Bahu was finally a part of the family now, in the right way. Daadi blessed them, apologizing for not making this happen earlier. Saumya looked at the woman, with drooping eyes. Did anyone in the house even see her plight?
Jaanvi smiled blessing them. "Saumya you are a blessing to us! Tumhaare kadam Garh pe pade nahi, ki garh waapas ghar ban gaya!"
They next moved to the brothers. Gauri smiled, "Ab toh him bhi jethaani ban gaye."
Omkara smiled. " I will still say, Saumya pehle meri behen hai, phir mere bhai ki biwi!" He said a she hugged Saumya. While Rudra witnessed with a burning heart what happened before his eyes. He wanted to scream and tell them what her true colors were, but he was helpless!
Shivaay forced a smile as he looked at the two. His eyes not leaving Rudra's. "As long as you guys trust each other and there is love,
" this Ishqbaazi ki gaadi will run smooth!" Completed Anika.
"There might be many ups and downs, but just don't leave each others hands!" Anika spoke looking at Shivaay, steadily holding his hand. He looked at her and smiled.
Rudra turned away, he had never felt so trapped.
***
"You might be my wife to the world, you might be the Bhau of this house, but you will never be anything for me. I had told you before and I tell you again, you can never be my takkar ki Ishqbaaz! Jitni respect thii naa tumhaare liye woh bhi kho di. You know what, tum wo Love Angel ho hi nahi, tum selfish ho. I hate you Saumya! " his voice spat venom once they were confined in their room which was beautifully decorated. Saumya's eyes welled up, but she looked at him bitterly.
"Rudra.."
He dint wait to listen. He disappeared into the washroom to change.
"Rudra..." She tried speaking to him, as he placed his pillow on one side of the bed preparing to sleep.
"I don't have a single reason to listen to you. I did as you wanted. I think its over, do what you like but don't bother me!" He spoke straight. "Naa hi pehle Pyaar karta thaa, naa kabhi Pyaar kaoonga!" He switched off the light, closing his eyes.
She stood their still. A lone tear making way to her cheeks, rolling down her eyes. She stepped out into the balcony. He was right. Love Angel was gone. Whatever remained was a selfish person longing to be loved. She rubbed her palms around her arms as the night's cool breeze sent chills down her spine. She wiped that tar that slipped down after the first. She had cried enough. Not anymore. It was dark now but tomorrow would be a new morning.
P.S
I had always wanted to write a RuMya. This one would be more on Saumya, and how she rekindles her relationship with every member of the family and finds love.
I an uncertain about the population of RuMua readers.
If I get a good response and people like it, I would love to continue this.
