The season was all cosy, the night was darker and in between all this there was shivaay, staring at nowhere particular outside the window in this midnight of winter all lost in thoughts of things took troll in his and Annika's life recently.

At first they were made to leave oberoi mansion , to stay away from their family, then settling themselves in this new city where they know no one, then the goons fiasco, that creepy lady making aanika scare to the hell and then the enemy disguised as friend Dr. Veer or more like Svetlana's brother who dared to make annika his.

It has been 5 days since all the mess got cleared, how that lady scares his annika trying to prove her mentally unstable, how annika loose all her calm and how at the final veer abducted her. In those few hours when annika was away from shivaay in that veer cage , he died thousand times thinking of her panicking about her but when khanna, the very loyal member of team shivika joined hand with the SSO they managed to get her back within the few hours beating the shit out of hulk and handling all of them along with Svetlana to the police.

As they say the pain get lost but the scars remain forever, the same happened with shivika. In all these days annika went a lot through mental trauma that she was having hard time coming out from it. Even though she knew it was all a trap still she was scared , disturbed to the core, sobbing in her sleep, her nightmares were back again at its worst form and basically the old annika was all lost due to all this. She was so week mentally that she didn't know how to re collect the broken piece of her courage her confidence .

On the another hand shivaay was there, drowning himself deep in the guilt, guilt of making annika suffer though unknowingly , blaming himself to be responsible for this condition of her.

Turning around he looked at the lazy figure of annika sleeping on her side of bed all curled up like a baby, the baby who is afraid of this world. His baby his lifeline was afraid from this cruel world. The frighten kid inside her was still there her haunting past and the present was something making his innocent annika his strength so weak and he can't even protect her as much as he wanted to hold her hand to drag her away from this darkness to provide her sunlight he was unable to do so.

He sat near her and caresses her face removing her hair from her face only to witness the all venerable annika, who frowns in her sleep.

The epitome of guilt rushed inside his mind and his heart felt a sudden ache. He was the reason behind all this , he thought the great wall of shivaay was protecting his family all along , but in between all this chaos his love his life, the entire reason of his existence faced danger due to him. he snatched her new family she got, Svetlana was his villain, he trusted that Veer without knowing anything about him, he not supported her enough, had he took her words seriously from very first day , had he been more cautious towards her nothing of it would happened, it was all his fault all his. All this thought occupied his mind making it hard for him to breath and with that all the frustration the guilt the sorrow the pain, the self accusation started coming out of his eyes in form of tears.

As soon as a precious drop of t fell on annika's cheek she woke up in hurry only to find him all devasted in broken state shading the tears.

"shivaayy... are you okay ? what happened to you ... tell me shivaay she hugged him tightly to her chest stroking his hairs with one hand and with other holding him tightly to her.

"shivaay please tell me... she asked almost panicking.

"i am sorry annika.. i am so..rr... he tried uttering this broken words in between his sobs. She firmly held his face with both of her hand making him face her.

"shivaay look at me tell me what happened?

"annika i am sorry.. i failed.. i failed as a husband.. he cried burring his face in her palms.

"I always promised to protect you from all the danger and all my promises went lie, i failed in keeping you happy annika, i failed in keeping you safe.

"are you out of your mind shivaay do you even realise what are you saying ? she asked out.

"i am saying truth annika i don't deserve you, your love nothing, whether directly or indirectly i always hurt you, i am the reason of all your pain. Had i not been in your life you would suffered nothing, i don't deserve this life with yo...

" say one more word and i will give you a tight slap right now. She shouted on him.

"dare you even think of going far away from me, i will die without you shivaay, I can't survive without you. Why don't you understand this. She complained like a kid.

"but annika i don't deser... before he could complete she stopped her in middle and hugged him tightly,

"shhh.. shivaay... you know what you deserve all the love in this world, you deserve every bit of it and trust me shivaay i am here with you to give you that love, to shower you with it not to give tears in your eyes. She said after whipping off the tears from his eyes.

"you make me happy shivaay to the extent that you can never realise, you are my sole purpose of living , even the mere presence of you light up my whole heart and you are up with your guilt trip that you don't make me happy. She narrated him and he listened to it like a little kid.

"you know shivaay my life would be nothing without you, and i know you will never let anything happen to me, see i am here with you all safe and sound and i know i am disturbed right now but i know as long as my bagad billa is with me i can beat my every fear, you are my sunshine shivaay my lifeline and i love you with all my heart, don't you ever think about going away from me. She told with tears in her eyes.

"never, never.. he replied like an obedient kid.

"that's like my baby, now come sleep you are tiring yourself way too much, you know you have to wake up in morning and have to prepare breakfast for me... she joked to lighten the situation.

"so annika... cracking jokes between serious thing, see i should have console you right now you need to be pampered and here i am getting comforted and being all pampered by you.. why annika.. tum itni achi kyu ho ? he asked after keeping his head on her shoulder nuzzling in her neck.

"i can ask you the same question bagad billa, aap itne ache kyu ho ? she teased him back.

"i love you annika... he confessed suddenly out of blue.

"i love you too shivaay and i am ready to fight with my every demons for you. She confessed.

"and i will be there for you in every situation, i promise. He told and kissed on her head silently promising each other to pass every obstacle that come in their way together.
