for a person who doesn't know how to cook, to bake a perfect cake was like hitting a lottery.. that was just used as plot convenience so that Dadi and Shivaay end up at her house...

I am not saying that what they are showing is correct.. its an exaggerated version that is being shown... she was not perfect at doing things at home and CVs are trying to show that.. I am not taking that as glorifying Shivaay.. I am looking at the social message that is being shown...

trust me I know lot of mils who want their dils to cook perfectly and dont consider them a good wife bcoz she doesn't know cooking properly or daily...

In one example in my relatives, wife earns more than husband but she doesn't like to cook and hence her mil doesn't consider a good wife...

She has baked twice. Once for Sahil's birthday and once before pushing SSO into pool. I don't cook very well, but I can bake very well. Anyway, Annika's baking skills were never my point. It was just an example I used.

First thing which made me cringe was Annika saying biwi ka kaam hota hai ghar sambhalna and pati ka kaam hota hai kaam karna... I didn't think this was Annika or maybe she's trying to fit into the society? I'm expecting a follow-up to that dialogue.

Anyway, why make Annika look THIS useless? 😕
Aren't they doing this to show the nayi soch of a husband accepting a wife who isn't a GL? That a true GL is someone who keeps the house together and family happy and all that stuff?

Losing some traits to a moderate level is okay, like finding it difficult to wake up in the morning, burning sabzis and all that... but making her look THIS useless is beyond my understanding. She's not able to do a single hosuehold work now.😕 They shouldn't have emphasised on that. She has lived alone with Sahil, feeding him and raising him. It's not an easy task. She managed the great SSO's wedding so wonderfully. All that contradicts what they're showing now. That's not who Annika is. Annika's character isn't only bravery, self-lessness and khidkitodness. She had many other traits too. She was responsible. :(

Annika doesn't even go to work now. 😳

We have to understand this is how CVS percieve it
