SS- || Out Of Our Hands ||
Many a times when we least expect, things turn out so perfectly,
They seem to fit right into place, as though magically.
But, then there are times when no matter what efforts we put,
They always get Out Of Our Hands!
What follows when Om disappears altogether, with the best of the agencies hired by his brother Shivaay Singh Oberoi aren't able to trace him down?
What awaits, when Gauri and Shivaay, the two pillars of the famiy take things in their own hands?
Does the situation settle or get Out Of Their Hands?
Prelude:-
Shivaay-"What do you mean, you don't know! Its been eight days and you haven't been able to trace him down. If he arrived from Germany then where did he go? He can't disappear into air right. "
He ended the call and the mobile crashed into pieces in the nest few seconds.
The family looked tensed, while Badi Maa looked pale.
Gauri turned to meet Shivaay's eyes. Shivaay nodded in a no, in despair. Omkara had left for his usual trip to Germany for an art exhibition. He called to say he had boarded the flight, but he never arrived. At first the Oberois thought perhaps he had missed the flight or something of that sort. But things got serious when Om din't respond to calls. When the German officials were contracted, they had learned that Omkara had left for Mumbai by the scheduled flight.As a matter of fact he had also arrived at the Mumbai Airport. But soon after no one knew about his whereabouts.

Omkara's one number had been finally traced only to be found in Jodhpur. The search team had failed to locate Omkara in the city although. Despite repeated efforts Shivaay Singh Oberoi couldnt get the police to find him. As a result he had decided to take things in his own hands and leave for the city to find his brother.
Rudra-"Bhaiya I will come along!"
Shivaay-"No, you need to be here with Badi Maa! She needs you."
Anika-"I am coming along."
Shivaay-"No. You are staying here. You need to be here in my absence Anika. You and Rudra will have to coordinate with the Mumbai Police."
"Bade Bhaiya, please let me come along. I won't be at peace here. Please" pleaded Gauri. Shivaay couldn't stand her tears. He looked at Anika unable to decide. She nodded a positive. She knew how it felt. When Shivaay had been kidnapped, she couldn't even breathe in peace. Every breath had been a torture, and the mind acted crazily, giving the creepiest thoughts. It would be best if Gauri was occupied in searching.

Shivaay-" Gauri isn't here Anika, I mean she has left for a certain place called Mathura, near Delhi."
Her eyes grow wide at the little bit of news -"What? But you Both were going to Jodhpur right? "
He held the mobile away taking a deep breath. Composing himself he spoke once again, "Yes. But at the airport, I received a call from the Commissioner.."
She panicked, "what did he say? Anything about Om?"
Shivaay-"Om's second number was traced down and the location was Mathura...and me and Gauri...
Anika-"You...decided to split!"
Shivaay sat down on the cold chair of the airport's waiting room. "Yeah! She isn't coming with me to Jodhpur. "
Anika-"But you should have told us about it then, how could you let Gauri go all alone to an unknown place just like that!"
"Toh kya kartaa Anika?"he spoke annoyed. " It's more than 8 days now!And still we have no clue about Om's whereabouts! " he almost screamed into the receiver in frustration. Getting a few heads to turn at him.
Anika-"I know, Shivaay! But Gauri...
Shivaay cut her off midway, "She is not a kid Anika. This was not just mine but both of our decision. This entire thing is getting seriously messed up now, Pata nahi Om kahan hai, How is he, I hope he is fine. One number in Jodhpur, another in Mathura, last seen in Mumbai, I just don't understand!"
Anika took a deep breath-"He will be fine !" Her voice trailed.
"I hope so!" He whispered back. "How is everyone at home? "
Anika-"just the way you left us."
Shivaay-"Badi Maa?"
Anika-"She is okay. She believes you both will bring her back.She is waiting for you to be back with Om."
Shivaay's whispere echoed, "We will!"
"Take care of yourself, don't forget your medicines. Wait, Did you call Gauri?"
"I will call her next, before I take the flight. Anika.." There was a brief pause, from his side as he lost track of words to use.
She closed her eyes as though understanding what he had to say, "Don't worry Shivaay, I will take care here. Rudra spoke to the inspector here, no news yet but the search team is on it. He is okay, he is with Badi Maa ever since."
Shivaay-"Don't tell anyone yet ...about Gauri not being with me, I don't want them to get worried about her as well."
She simply made a small affirmative sound in response
"Okay. Take care of everyone, Badi Ma...Rudra...and...of yourself!"
"I will!" She nodded as tears made way to her eyes. "Come back soon. Love you."
"I will! Don't forget to call Saahil tomorrow, it's his speech day tomorrow."
She smiled, "I won't!"
He chuckled lightly, "And...Miss Me!"
Anika"I am. Just be...safe."
He chuckled. "You make me feel like, I am going at war!"
Anika-"Shut Up Shivaay! Now, go...your flight won't wait like your helicopter does. "
Shivaay grinned -"Yes. Helicopter! "
She giggled slightly. "Don't forget to call when you reach and call Gauri also."
Shivaay-"Any more orders?"
Anika-"None. O wait, don't you want to say anything ?"
Shivaay smiled knowing what she meant-"umm..nothing I can remember."
Anika frowns, east or west this man's Tadi wouldn't go-" Baagad Billa!"
"What!" He teased her.
"Nothing. Go bring back Om! I am going to take up this issue then!"
She held the phone close to her heart, praying for her family. His smile faded once he ended the call. He heard the announcement, and got up to walk towards the boarding gate. He called Gauri, she picked up at almost the last ring.
"Jii Bade bhaiya, you are in flight?"
Shivaay-"At the boarding gate. All okay? "
Gauri-"So far good, I m in the bus. I might reach by the next hour, don't worry about the booking, I will manage. "
"Don't understand why can't they book online! " he cursed. "Anyways I called home all is fine, only Anika knows you aren't with me. I shall reach Jodhpur max in two to three hours. You take care alright. Don't worry, we will find him."
Gauri pressed her lips, "Yes I know we will! You take care too."
Shivaay-" you have the regional inspector's number saved right? Call him just in case. "
Gauri-"Yes I will. Have a Safe journey. "
She ended the call looking out of the window. The highway seemed to be telling her something her heart perhaps feared. She closed her eyes sending up a silent prayer for the well being of her loved ones.
P.S
Always wanted to write something of this kind, finally an idea striked.(The ideas get me during exams). Typed it out before it could evaporate off my brain.
Now, let me know what you think about this and whether I should try to write this further.
