Sigh , your post aptly describes my state of mind.

To enjoy, current IB and Shivika you've to be like my mom , who watched yesterday's episode after a gap of 20 or more episodes . Since she'd no idea about the whole Taniya angle , she enjoyed ita s laughter riot , plus , unlike me , she has absolutely no attachment with Shivika whatsoever ,

My advice is , either watch it like the slapstick comedy it is now , with no emotional investment , absolutely no attachment whatsoever or , simply quit . This show is already getting on our nerves with all the ridiculousness , why let it affect our lives , BP n sanity .

Haaa... I am glad that you still could muster up the energy to make this post . I am so tired this constant battle with let go Shivika are gone to why would they go this way has left me let's just say hanging by a very thin thread of sanity ( some times I feel I will loose it completely). It is not so much the energy dear ... it is the irritation of seeing 1 years worth of my time invested being flushed down by the writer because she writes while high on something reaaalllyy good ... that is some good weed she is somkin' I swear 😆😆
It is also to let her know that as much as she receives praise for her plot and writing skills from her fans, the TRP aunties and some of us do not find it praise worthy and I am clearly aware that it has chances of me getting (secretly) bashed but that never stopped me before ...lol 😆😉

And frankly they have chanted 'change the channel ... change the channel ...' so many times that I feel the wish has been granted from sheer will on GulNeets part
People have changed the channel 😉
Now GulNeets fans are chanting the same but for a different reason - they want people to change the channel back to IB but too little too late for that already I feel ... GulNeet don't care - they have moved on

People might kill me but I found their first KC before wedding more relatable n romantic than this ... all I can say is though married they do not feel married that spark they had is missing

Where you used to feel they are here now Ahaaa it's like god they r here let's get it over n done with . lol you saying that (underlined and in green) is hilarious because I feel the same now ... I have not watched yesterday or today's episode tbh and the only thing that would tempt me to would be Bandari Bua (I know that is pathetic 😆) and a bit of Rikara and RuvYa.
I never ever thought this day would come - honestly. I could not wait for ShivIka to come on screen till the writer decided to pull 'Pati, Patni aur Woh' on us

Why is it so tough to add a meaningful convo into their script ...when Anika came out n said am not comfortable with Tanya around all she got was she is not important let's not discuss her n you are jealous ... 😕 seriously that is how you assure your wife who is supportive of all the nonsense you have been throwing at her in the name of family . That turned to trash comedy in no time reducing the angst into nothingness. To add meaningful conversations the writer should have either the knowledge, maturity or the experience of doing so. I do not see this as anything she may be capable of. When have we ever seen a meaningful conversation between any couple that is not suffering ML, is bhang induced (catharsis on page - remember?), in disguise (RiKara) or drunk (RumYa)

Normal relationships are something she seems alien to .

Not only Shivay even Abhay or even Tanya do not have problem with sharing a room pretending to be some else's spouse ...and hands on too .( if mine did that I would gut him no time ) Oh! Yeah!! whats mine is yours policy in the Oberoi household I guess... no qualms about it at all... no one of them is uncomfortable with this set up ...lol

1 year n hundreds of episodes all she can come up with separating the couples for no reason n bring in third angles to make it look like this needs to be done now god knows for what with no sense romance n comedy intertwined. lol yup!

Yes I agree this is not the Shivay who had a sense of right from wrong though head strong . If she could not come up with anything new why destroy the foundation she already made .
Exactly and she seems to be enjoying doing that ... ripping the characters apart like she is getting perverse pleasure seeing the women bring ill-treated and disrespected and the men acting like baboons for the most part with their women.
I shudder to think what goes on in her mind most days 🤢 This is beyond dark and perverse

If this is what is called as creative n innovative writing ... of the women for the women by the women ... then those particular women need a new abode to reside . I have a lot more to say but they are choice words which I cannot use here 🤬 . I am not going to even go there because I do not consider these people 'women'. I have too much respect for my kind to call such alien, cold and perverse people women ... and we wonder why men think it is ok for women to be treated this way ...
well 'hello!!!' shows like the so called popular IB promoted by people who call themselves sympathizers of women promote that women should be fine treated this way ... amazing ain't it??!! 😲

They have made a mockery of everything relationships, marriage , the fine ties that bind us all together ... n they have no regret or remorse for doing this . Not in the least ... in fact I think they quite enjoy that they have fans who think this is normal and entertaining
Your husband brings another woman home, calls her his wife, lives with her in your bedroom while you are in some guest room, nullifies your insecurities and hurt but hey that's ok because just chill with his decision since you can now add comedy to poke fun at the other woman and do a dance to pacify the husband who has an issue - that YOU have an issue with the situation ...
Whew!!! there done !!! Synopsis for the track right there 🤣🤣

So I will just say this people who create their own drama deserve their own karma n their time is coming and Amen to that 😃

Excuse me while I spam your thread to type away a few more of my thoughts .

I think we shouldn't be shocked and surprized that most of the fandom finds this current scenerio ,Tanya being official wife and Anika being reduced to the status of unwanted mistress , who needs permission to enter his bedroom ( LOL I laughed so hard when she called it her "own" bedroom 😆 Height of delusion... kahe ki own .. 😆 like you said , every other girl sleeps in their bed , 😆 in their room .. including a complete random friend of Rudra ! 😲 😆 ) okay ! Heck , even Svet , used to enjoy more command and rights over Tej and OM than Anika currently has ! Which says it all . 😆

All the people who are finding this situation with regards to Shivika okay ,well they would definitely not find it okay in real life , not only if it applies to them , but to their friends , family , relatives , any acquaintance , or even society in general. Rest assured . We are not some weird folks with alien thinking or residing in some alternate universe . Our thinking in this regard matched totally with all the married folks or committed people in this forum.

The truth is people in the SNS mostly comprises of groups who have conditioned their minds or spontaneously grew this pattern of thinking where they take this show as entertainment , entertainment and nothing but entertainment . They don't expect Shivika to behave or act or feel like a real or actual couple , simply because they don't think of them as an actual or real couple . So , basically , they're least bothered no matter how much unreal Shivika becomes in the name of "story line" , as long as it gives them gif-worthy or edit-worthy moments of Narbhi as Shivika . They're taking the show superficially , where we're digging deep and taking offense when our lead couple are deviating , once too often from the path of reality and tasteful romance and marital relationship .

People are basically counting hugs and cheek/hand/nape kisses and weaving their own fanfictions in their minds . They care a damn about the story or it's execution and frankly, I can't blame them because at the end of the day this is nothing but a tv show n tv couple. They may not take it seriously and if they don't , I'll call them smart for it!😆

IB mostly caters to people who are fond of mindless slapstick comedy rather than people who watch shows for meaningful conversations , interaction, relationship growth , character arc and development , context, gritty story line and intriguing plot with breath taking execution . This is simply not the show for that kind of sophisticated viewers , They've many far better options to pick and choose from.

I think we should also start investing in shows that deserves that kind of emotional investment and that level of deep thinking and analyses . Mean while we can continue to watch IB for "cute antics" of Shivika ( Sorry I borrowed ur words ) with a bucket of pop corn and our tongue firmly in cheek ! 😉

I stopped watching IB quite sometime back because it no more conforms to my idea of entertainment. I just read updates. Learned there was a cabaret performance earlier, a qawali during flight boarding. This is too tacky. Coming to SSO, oh where do I start you know we talk about doormat Anika I feel sad for SSO he is an idiot of the first order. How can a writer imagine her character to be the businessman of the year kind of person with zero intelligence? It is not funny, it is simply not relatable.

They can call deffence minister finance minister and who's who at the drop of the hat but are unable to manage a damn raaz which is no raaz any ways.

This premise of business and romance had so much potential but such a waste of an opportunity. The falling TRPs is an indication that the content is being rejected by masses as well. Yet there has been no attempt by the PH to go stronger with the story. That baffles me. So Ishqbaaz is lost on me.

Well said! I am watching old episodes now and Shivaay has hurt Annika so much, without any shred of proof whatsoever, right from day 1.
... and he was progressed from that Shivvay to the adorable Shivvay we saw go on one bent knee to propose publically to her and we applauded his progress because he no longer had any of the old prejudices left .. that was beautiful right there with the wedding vows being the jewel in the crown ... but unfortunately it did not last long enough to give us the much needed satisfaction after waiting for that long

And yet she sides with him! After thekr zabardasti marriage, as soon as he gave her divorce papers the day of their pag phere rasam, the backboned quaddaari Annika should have walked out! ... but she didn't then and that was put down to all the factors that went into her forced marriage, her past experiences and all the demons that she basically had to fight all her life... that too was fine

Right from that day she became a doormat! To some extent! Yes she did and was but chalo that was then ... she was different then and so was he

And now, where is the highly intelligent Shivaay? Couldnt he find out who Tanya is talking to or secretly meeting? And what is it with everyone in the house accepting Tanya and her sharing Shivaays room? Yuck!

It is not Shivika's room anymore! and sadly all you pointed out to is so very true ... nothing more to add

This bed has seen more visitors than a boarding and lodging place! bahahaha!!! 🤣 🤣

The bone of contention that I have, don't know about others,( notice it is not in the past tense because it still bothers me and hence my fellow ShivIka lovers, who assume that I have been bashing ShivIka, it is impossible for me to enjoy all these so called comedy and romantic tracks that are being spun), is that Tanya is still roaming around as his wife and Shivvay is still maintaining that he is being blackmailed.

This👏 Something like you are ignoring the giant elephant in your room and sadly I have grown to like the characters, their progression and their journey too much to be able to do that very thing ... How am I supposed to ignore all the 'Tanya-ness' about the episodes 😆

Just want all these raita to be sametofied 😕

P.S: I really hope ppl dont hijack your post like last time I think we should be fine this time ...lol 😉

Asya this whole Tanya blackmail track has only one purpose- keep shivika from sharing a room and thus delay the SR! No other purpose, that's why the writer conveniently using Tanya just to rub on annika's face and no other reason!
... but as I mentioned in the other post I replied to ... to do that Tanya being announced as wife was not necessary!??
Shivvay and Annika being under stress and pressure would have done that automatically.
Imagine Dadi serious in hospital because she got whiff of this threat that Shivvay received because she over heard Shivvay discussing it with Annika when he returned ...
She being in hospital would have stalled the SR in a normal house, would it have not??
Just a scenario I am presenting.. there can be other scenarios that would bring this about ... Shivvay himself seriously injured because he was run over and left there at the scene ... and so on
The blackmailer could have threatened him even staying faceless and that frankly would have added to the mystery!!

SSO disappeared even during the memorial and now going to Goa without even informing Tanya!

Forgetting how SSO seems to be taking annika for granted and ignoring her pain, this is even more illogical!

Like Tanya blackmails him just to stay away from Annika, the rest SSO can disappear whenever he wAnts and Tanya won't do anything🥱 ... yep! is what I said

What is worst is the writer isn't even trying to make any sense now and throwing such tracks on us🥱 just to stall a SR! yep

Truth be a real memory loss track would have been better than this one which makes no sense! lol ... truly I think that would have been better but not less painful ... the 3rd angle has become so stale that no one wants it anymore 😆

Even the family are acting as idiots in all this🥱 ... and there run an empire

I just don't understand why Tanya was needed to be introduced as Shivaay's wife? She could have easily blackmailed SSO being in the house as a house guest ! If the purpose was to keep an eye on SSO 24 x 7 so that Shivika don't plan and plot together,then the purpose was defeated because SSO was allowed not to sleep in his room and Tanya could not keep an eye on what Shivika were doing at night ! So many inconsistencies in writing the track which had potential ! Hope the discontent of the viewers is noticed by the CVs and addressed !

Just to bring some positive note for myself and everybody: I myself feel that the media on the day SSO declared Tanya as his wife were fake and pre arranged by SSO and Khanna. I would love to imagine SSO as chantomayi of that level ! This if it happens would be a great shock not because Shivvay is not capable of being smart but because Writer Saheba is not capable of such thinking for IB ... we get mediocre plots ... lol

But still I hope you are right. 😊 Have been made pappu of one too many times looking for intelligent plot lines so am a skeptic now .. you have to forgive me

This post = my sentiments exactly. I haven't been able to actually watch the show after the first 1-2 episodes since Tanya came in. I catch Shivika clips and updates and they just make me cringe. There's no justification for Tanya being in the house, Shivaay behaving like an inconsiderate ass, or Annika being this clingy, all forgiving comedian. I just can't watch it. I didn't like the karva chauth sequence, the bathroom sequence, or the pretending in the room.. the fights, the comedy.. none of it.. not with the Tanya issue hovering like a dark cloud and being left unresolved.
I have been weaning myself off IB slowly because it will be easier to do it so now than later ... I don't see this getting better any more

NarBhi are the only reason I keep hanging on but then I look at them as ShivIka and I am saddened by what I am watching. Both are talented actors but I cannot get past the fact that Tanya is still walking around as his wife, throwing her weight around and talking Annika down which imo is not even necessary. But the writer seems to think it is important.

When Tia did it it was justified because of the plot but Tanya doing it is not even justified. She is there only to keep an eye on them not insult and humiliate Annika? So her doing that does not even add up for me

I think back to the wedding rituals, vows and the wedding day itself and make myself believe that it was the last episode of ShivIka and that they lived 'happily ever after'

If I do muster the interest to watch the only thing I might follow is RiKara's progress and a bit of RuvYa ... ShivIka are unrecognizable to me now
