"Tu hi dhoop tu hi chahya..
Tu hi apna paraya...
Aur kuch na jaanoon bas itna hi jaanoon.
Tujh mein rab diktha hai.. yaara main kya karoon.."
Richa was shaking up an immensely emotional Gauri, tears flowing relentlessly from her eyes, looking much worried. Both of them accidentally stepped into this song, in TV, when Gauri's sudden change in reaction happened.
"Gauri.. kuch bol.. kya hua hai.. aise kyun ro rahi ho.. Maa bhi bahar gayi hai.. Gauri kuch toh bolna.." worried streaks ran across Richa's face. It took Gauri, a complete minute to come out of the debacle that her life has become, momentarily. Still her composure had gone for a toss, with her shattered heart aching every piece, her unable to bear the weight of it, even an ounce. She gave a partial assurance to Richa that she carry on to get her dress alteration done, they both've planned.
In the room, Omkaara disguised as DilPreet, was standing in an almost frozen iced state just being the witness of the extent of damage he'd done to his love. He had come along to get a glimpse of her, after hearing her voice but had just felt the chilling extent of powerful emotions in her all-expressive face. Factions of his heart felt proud and guilty at the same time, crumbling that he'd done anything but opposite to deserve such undeniably unadulterated love that possibly nothing in this world could offer him. The tears of separation and pain that he caused to her, had to be wiped every single bit with his lips, if only if he could do it. His limbs ached at this vegetative situation and his helplessness wracked his senses.
Richa went hesitatively, leaving an alone Gauri along with her husband in disguise. Thanking Richa in his heart, Omkaara stepped into his wife's room, with a stern look. She reminded him of painting without a soul, a rainbow without colors. Her swollen face, red nose & shadowed face with no glimpse of hope anywhere in eyes was the worst punishment for his sins, he'd ever had to face. A standing testimony of a failure he has been in being a loveable husband, a standing testimony of his prude attitude being shattered to pieces by a love so pure than heaven. He couldn't do it any longer. Come what may.
Gauri's eyes reflected shock at having seen a strangely familiar stranger of 4 days, walk into her room, with all the authority especially when no one's around.
"aap ko kya chahiye. ?" She sounded stern as she judged his steps carefully.
"Tum"
Her eyes now widened in disgusted shock, she stood the one carefully assessing her options in this very cramped area.
"Aap apni tameez bhool rahe ho. Meri maa kabhi bhi aasakthi hain, aur aapko iss kamre se baahar jaana hi behtar hoga"
"Main kahin nahi jaane waala hoon, tumhaari bina" He stopped being funny, goofy DilPreet singh though being disguised as one.
"Rukiye.. wahan.. Paas mat aayiye" Her eyes turned red in anger.
"Apni biwi ki paas nahi jaaonga, toh kiski paas jaaonga?"
Her earth divided below her legs, as she stood in utmost shock and disbelief..
"Kya..?"
"Tum mujhse roothi hui ho, issliye itna din nahi pehchaana. Ab bhi nahi pehchaan paa rahi ho?"
"Omkaaraji!!!??!!"
He smiled back as he started to remove his pagdi. Gauri was standing as if she was dreaming, since she had given up all her hopes on him. The "Biwi word which was a simplest answer, to the long standing puzzle between them, had just been heard for the first time, between them.
"Biwi??!!" Her frustration overwhelmed her momentary joy, as she turned aside.
"Maine aapko har bandhan se aazad kar diya.. phir biwi kaise ho sakthi hoon"
He knew she was angry as much she is sad and frustrated. But only he can heal her wounds and get her back. He needed to
He moved slowly near her when he saw tears had started to flow in her eyes, for another spell. All his thoughts of having to deal with this slowly and patiently vanished, as he hugged her from behind, the sanctuary for his sins.
She detested, resisted verbally and physically, until up to the point when she felt it's of no use. Her body vibrated in silent tears as did his, as his buried face washed her skin with his tears, silently. Tears of repentance..
