so here comes the next step in rikara relation and next drabble.. this is little longer.. but i couldnt compromise.

DRABBLE 2 : KNOWING THE LOST GAURI
Gauri kept her dupatta on the chair of the sofa and tied her hair in a messy bun and sat in the hall of her house surrounded by the material required for preparing as many as 100 chunnri for mata rani. Gauri was really worried about fulfilling the wishlist of richa's mother in law for their roka ceremony. She cant reject her demands after all richa was only one friend who always stood by her in her thick and thin till today. She helped her and her mother a lot whenever they were in need and also served her mother when she was away in Mumbai. Today richa needed her help. Though the basic necessities required for their wedding were bought by richa herself somethings where not affordable by them and gauri promised that she would help her out in those issues. Thinking that gauri had money in her account richa agreed for it but the reality only stuck her when the men came and asked her vacate her house for not paying the rent since past 4 months.
Gauri however convinced her that she would manage everything when richa asked her to refuse her mother in laws demands but gauri wanted to make all her ceremonies memorable for her. she was ready to take any sort of risks. Like always her sankarji has sent her a big order of supplying 100 chunnri for mata rani and some 50 aarthi thaal and also to decorate nearly 500 diyas in just a span of 3 days for the coming Diwali festival for Mr. Gupta's shop. Gauri was overwhelmed with the order. If she could do encash this then she could fulfil her friend's wishes and decided to work all the 3 nights and finish the order within time.
She was so immersed in her work that she neither noticed her husband who was staring at her sitting in his room pretending to work on laptop nor she noticed her friend who came to help her. When her friend sat to help her she outrightly rejected and asked he to sleep as she needs to look good for her roka the next evening. Richa insisted to help her for sometime and also said that they would not be getting time to spend a complete girls night out after her marriage and she doesn't want to lose this moment. Finally gauri gave in and they started discussing about their childhood memories and the naughty things they did and the pranks they played on the people of their class and many more. They were talking and working simultaneously. They even recalled some nights outs they did together when they had to prepare such orders during festival times and especially the Navratri times when they performed puja, dandiya and again prepared chunnri for the next day puja.
Om was listening to them happily. From their words he could understand that her childhood was not easy one but still she tried to make beautiful memories out of it. He then realized how could she be happy even when anything was not according to her will or wish. She was habituated to live in those situations and she learnt to accept the things how they come in her life. He realized that she tried to fight the problems in her life but never complained about them probably that was why he never heard her complaining about anything even after she faced worst insults from the people around him and sometimes himself. That was her fighting spirit which made her to take the step of learning English rather than crying over her life. He knew she was a fighter but now he realized that she was fighting many odds through out her life.
Om was listening to them with a smile on his face when they were talking about the pranks they played on their friends together. But his smile vanished when he could hear the name of sarpanch's son raju was a big admirer of gauri. He stopped pretending to work on laptop and started looking at them with a curiosity and with a jealousy streak on the face. Richa was teasing gauri by recalling all those incidents with raju where he followed her everyday for almost 5 years and finally gave up only after she explained him that she wasn't interested in him. gauri smiled at her friend's teasings and was busy working on the chunnri.
Om has become desperate to know more about raju but there was no chance, neither he can ask her nor he can leave it so. He wanted to know why she rejected him and probably he may correct that trait if at all it was present in him. though he knew that she loved him he wanted to be the way she wanted her husband to be. As a God's blessing Richa asked gauri why she never accepted raju after all he was the only son of the village sarpanch and moreover he was madly in love with her. om was waiting for her replay and to this question gauri smiled and answered, "He was not in love with her. he was just attracted and If at all I had accepted him then people would blame me that I trapped him for money and you know that I always wanted a man who just loves me and respects me. All these money buildings and cars doesn't excite me. Having a person who love you and respect you is more important to me than having all these worldly pleasures. Only love can heal any pain in your life not these comforts. I never wished for a rich husband I always wished for a loving husband.
Unknown to them that om was listening to their conversation richa added "but u got a person who has money cars buildings and name fame everything right. You never wished for them but your sankarji has given you everything. Gauri gave a faint smile and replied "ha sankarji has given me all those which I have never asked him for but he did not give me that what I wanted. Hearing her saying these words to richa om felt a pain in his heart. He remembered those accusations which he hurled at her of being a gold digger and money minded. All she wanted was love from her husband and here he always accused that she wanted money from him. His eyes started to fill with tears. He was guilt actually more than guilt he was ashamed that he never tried to understand her and thought she was pretending to be good when actually she was so good.
When richa further tried to continue the conversation gauri asked her to sleep as it was already late and she need to rest for the next day. As om saw richa leaving he came out and stood at the entrance of his room and he could see gauri wiping her tears. His heart pained looking at her. he was responsible for all her tears. He now knew that the image he made of gauri in his mind till today was completely wrong. She was never after money. She was a self made woman and has very high values and principles. He realized that she was never wrong but the circumstances in which he saw her were wrong. And he had to admit that after seeing woman like ridhima, ishana and Svetlana in his life who were always after just for name and money he was blinded to see the real person.
He now realized what a gem of person gauri was and how much she loved him. But what haunting him was what was that trouble in her life which made her accept the marriage with kaali. When she had the courage to fight him and run away from him why did she agree at the first place. How did she get into the trap. He no more doubted her integrity or her character but he need to know that part of her life which made her look like a gold digger and home wrecker in his eyes. and now he decided to find the truth by himself during his stay in her house.
