That's exactly how I feel. He could have chased Annika all over the house...steal some time together...breaking Dadi's two feet rule and have these moments in private.

Why on earth would he want to hear it in front of the whole family...and not just family...even guests. That's not Shivaay.

Like today's initial scenes were ok...but the last wala Shivika scene with RB totally put me off...just too much cringe in there...TOO MUCH LAMENESS.

Hmm! I don't know about 'overload'. I did find that last scene in front of Rudy cringe-inducing. The rest of the PDA is fine. SSO involving the family in his 'I love you challenge' and the 'Love- antakshari' were way more out of character than the pda I felt. Like seriously, I have new found respect for actors. To be able mouth dailogues that include the words 'Love Antakshari' n such with a straight face, no mean feat!!

Lets not forget the whole luvaakshari is meant as a diversion for Svet so Bhavya can investigate(!).. so guess we better be ready for romantic gaane interspersed with close ups of Pinky's eyerolls and Svet's smirks! 😆 [of course with serious music for RuvYa investigation!!!]

Chalo, I can still digest the lame hand-holding, intertwining their fingers, caressing hair etc. but forcing her to say ILU during public events with the entire family backing him up and pressurizing Annika BLEGHHH!!!!

And the PDA witnessing audience needs to be outside the TV screen and not standing five steps away watching their bhabhi squirming under their bhai's amorous intentions.

And please no excuses by the apologists that Annika is just shy and basking under Shivaay's attention. Even though we are yet to watch the next episode, A's reaction to love-aakshari mirrored mine like "Can this guy get any lamer?!"😕

As always, they bungle up the BALANCING act as they move into a new phase with Shivaay...they clearly don't know what to show with him unless it's NKK/tadi stuff...whenever they try to soften him up, ya toh zyada sappy banaa dete hain ya phir this PDA nonsense now.

Wohi Hormonal SSO is a different story and I have issues with that as well.. but this is another level of *bleh*

@bold That is what I'm feeling.. and it is sad... ... Sometimes I wonder if for the balancing act, this team needs to collaborate with a male writer/story-teller or at least get a fresher set of eyes to look at this story... Shivaay's growth has been amazing but come-on there is more to this story that just NKK!

Anika deserves all the happiness.. and I'm loving her in this phase.. I love the attention Shivaay is giving her... but for all this, please don't butcher Shivaay... He has some basic characteristics.. please no personality transplant for him! 😭

lol they are just trying to bring western culture in India.Its very common for open affection gestures in front of family and people how I know because I live here.Slowly they will start saying what's wrong with it we should follow that.I am glad many people felt it cringeworthy.regardless of whatever hamaara Dil thoh Hindustani hai

+ 1000000 for the post. I'm so confused why the writers keep showing something that doesn't work for them. Consistency is an impossible feat for serials, but is it necessary to butcher his character this badly. I mean it took the guy 350 episodes to come to terms with his feelings and now he is like this in front of his little brother. He was so reserved before and had his moments privately. He didn't make a show of his feelings and that's why I liked his character. Now he is up there with the cringest MLs.

The random rasams are to stall for time, which is fine with me. I'm not expecting normal functions with cute clothes. My issue is why not just add drama and cute family scenes. The OTT PDA with family intruding on private moments is just

I have no expectations, but this is cringeworthy 😆 It really seems like this won't end until the shaadi happens and the writers write them a new villain. I can't believe I'm missing Tia and NB gang right now.

The audience rejected the group romance so the writers put a twist on it with one couple romancing while the other watches. Shivika are the new family pass time 😆
