Honestly, the show is too boring. I have been watching both shows since the start so it was always an hour show for me. I feel like the shows were more fun when they were separated. We got some weird tracks, but the shows were entertaining. Now, the characters, tracks, and styling is all over the place.I'm having a problem keeping up with the show. So many things happening, but at the same time nothing is happening. Everything is disjointed and the abrupt jumps from one scene to another reminds of me DBO's editing. I feel like I'm watching a different show every two minutes.

There was so much buildup for the separation. Pinky was exposed, but what about all the horrible things she did during the NT track. The writing is never consistent, but it's a serial so I don't expect consistency. It would just be nice if the resolution matched the months of buildup. Pinky was so vile, but no one is reacting to it. In fact, no one is reacting to anything at all. Pinky is showing no remorse, which means she will continue to be the vamp until the writers create a new villain. It will be difficult to redeem her character, but the writers keep making her worse. It's a shame because Pinky is an interesting character and this evil role doesn't suit her.

As for the actual couple, I feel like a balance that was always there is missing. It's too cutesy. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the sappy and cutesy interactions, but this doesn't really fit their characters especially after the drama that happened. After the reunion, the writers only have two settings: attraction mode and BFF mode. They had more layers to them before and after the separation. It feels like the writers are moving their story along quicker than usual. The whole show and the all couples seem rushed to me. Situations with the potential to be interesting tracks are condensed into one scene or 2 episodes. I'm not sure why they are rushing, but it ruins the flow of the show.

Just putting it out there. I don't hate any character or the show so others don't misunderstand.

A well written post. I agree with you to an extent but I have a slightly different take on some of the things you mentioned here. I also didn't follow all the touch or talk debate which some of you mentioned here but I think I get the gist.

I guess a lot of people were upset at the lack of intensity and passion in the chawl scenes and I do understand where people are coming from. Shivika were separated for whole three months and they were finally out of Dadi's curfew, so it's understandable why some of you may feel their time together at the chawl should have been more passion filled. But the way I see it, this was about the challenge and Shivaay experiencing and adapting to a whole new situation and just being content at having Annika by his side again and basking in that happiness. Besides, he was totally out of his comfort zone and trying to adjust to unfamiliar surroundings and experiencing Annika's life, so I didn't mind the lack of intensity or tadi on his part so much.

However, I do agree that a conversation between them is necessary. It's like an entire scene has gone missing and I also agree that the execution and editing has been terrible. LM is an experienced director and can take any scene to a whole different level just by adding some touches. So his absence was greatly felt.

As for Annika realizing she is no less than an NKK girl, well, doesn't she already know that? Annika has never personally considered herself inferior and although she was made to feel inferior many times by SSO and others in the past, their whole journey together has been about how NKK doesn't matter. So whatever doubts she may have had, the love and acceptance she got from Shivaay and the other Oberois, that has already planted it firmly in her head. And after the gazebo scene, where Shivaay declared in front of the world that NKK doesn't matter to him, another realization becomes redundant.

Seeing shades of SC and NM in Annika and Shivaay, was most likely a result of lack of script and direction. But I am not that surprised at having a filler track before the actual functions because and they can't start anything new at this point and I also think they are taking time to plan things ahead and they won't focus on anything else until the wedding is done. It does feel like things have become a bit stagnant but I think they are buying time and they also have to bring all the characters back to RM for the wedding.

Another reason I am not all that disappointed is because I was expecting worse and it all actually turned out to be better than I expected. I have learned to expect the worst and I may have actually turned out worse and I feel like we lucked out here. I think this track was necessary because Shivaay really had to experience Annika's life in order to understand her better. While it wasn't really well executed and lacked punch, it served its purpose in a rather acceptable way.

That is exactly what it is😆

And I'm not really sure what conversation everyone is expecting...do you guys want Shivika to talk about what happened in the last 3 months? LOL come on, this is IB...haven't we watched this show in the last one year to know better by now? 😆...I'm frankly shocked ki we even got as much follow up conversation as we did vis a vis the gazebo scene with them admitting their mistakes, lack of trust and vowing to tackle things together from here on...

The show is going more for the soulful understanding dynamic b/w Shivika wherein they don't feel the need to rehash everything that happened in the last three months...they do make references in conversations from time to time as needed but it's not going to be one big specific convo if that's what people are looking for😕

I frankly didn't mind today's Shivika scenes despite all the randomness😆...they were cute in the chai scene and the greh pravesh...

I agree that it would be nice to see the writers doing a better job of consistency and momentum vis a vis how they want to evolve the attraction b/w Shivika and I also agree that despite the cutesy factor, the last two epis have been lacking on feel and connect...but it does feel like the writers are in standby mode and don't know what to do with these two when there isn't high drama or conflict to build their interactions around😆

Let's see if they can evolve the chemistry nicely in this new phase in the coming days otherwise yes it may all get too sappy to be palatable😆...NM-SC can only do so much if the script doesn't note down the fine details vis a vis this shift in Shivika's dynamic...and the new dynamic should build on what already existed...the tadi, the cutesiness, the goofiness, the passion...all existed simultaneously...one doesn't have to be sacrificed for the sake of the other...the kitchen scene last week was a good example of balance of all the elements that make Shivika fun...they can take notes from there and continue to evolve😆

I agree with you about the disjointed scenes and abrupt jumps especially with regards to yesterday and today's episode. I felt like I was watching 2-3 different shows as well. Makers and channel seem to be experimenting a different style of editing each week to see which will even out the TRP for both slots. I hope this week's style fails cuz it sucks! I also hope that this is that last week of experimenting!

CVs seem to be keeping their options open for after the marriage and Pinky seems to be one of them so no hopes for her to feel remorse anytime soon. Especially not now when we need a drama factor for the shaadi🥱

I agree with you about the balance and layers too but I think the lack of it is more because they have no idea where to take the characters next. Once they decide on that we should be getting those layers and that balance back...I hope. Honestly, I should have expected the cutesy stuff because that is what happens in all the Indian shows after a couple reunites or confesses but I thought it would be different with IB cuz Harneet doesn't do cliche stuff

Did you feel they were rushing? I feel as if they are dragging...

We should have known better but I was expecting a conversation like the one they had before NT track started! I am learning to let go of that hope😆

I know that ShivIka don't need to talk about everything and they have tha connection but something about the whole thing just seems off. Despite how cute the scenes are and how much I like them (and I do like them a lot) something is missing. I don't know if it's crappy directing or pathetic editing or a mixture of both but something is missing. I didn't feel that disconnect last week Friday when they were cute as hell!

I agree with the NM-SC part. If CVs don't decide on what to do and don't give them a proper script then how can they show anything properly? Today they were in character mostly. It's just here and there I felt NaRbhi more than ShivIka.

Right now it's not so sappy that I want to puke but yes I want them to go back to last week Tuesday as well or ShivIka during Mahi track.

Mostly, they need to get rid of those highlights that Shivaay has and give him back his old hairstyle and his old suits and I will feel a connection to Shivaay even if he is being billuji😆

As u told, the intensity is missing in the scenes

And also bad editing is added on to it..

I think this will continue till next Friday when the makers will have an idea abt the trps of different combinations of editing.

Hope everything comes to normal next to next week.

They need to fire the editing team😆 But seriously though what can they do if channel wants to experiment? Why continue this till next Friday? This Friday is enough and they will know next week Thursday if it worked.

I hope everything comes back normal once SC comes back and rasams start...

Most of us are unhappy and frustrated after today's episode. I was too but I rewatched the ShivIka scenes and it wasn't so bad. The tea scene was cute and a parallel to that scene where Annika drank SairaBano. Shivaay's expression when Annika was pouring the tea in the saucer made me laugh. Him rolling his sleeves to drink the tea as if he was preparing for a war was hilarious. His 'meri biwi' dialogue and his anger was SSO but he had to control himself for the sake of the challenge. Shivaay and Annika trying to protect each other was cute. Shivaay's happiness at coming home with Annika was adorable. Overall I liked today's scenes.

Having said that, I will also say something is missing. The scenes lacked intensity. This track may have been for Annika to see that she is no less than a NKK girl as some ShivIkians are saying but that didn't come across. The execution was poor. I know Lalit Mohan wasn't there and I can see the difference in scenes. Several moments that could have been made to be tender moments between them fell flat because of the poor direction. LM understands ShivIka best and this new director killed the essence of this chawl sequence. This track had so much potential but the poor direction made a mess of it.

The other problem with the last 2 episodes has been editing. It has been, pardon my words, piss poor. The cutting and scattering scenes over the whole episode is killing the flow and reducing the impact of scenes. I know why they are doing it and I really hope that it fails. I liked the arrangement of last Friday's epi much better.

My main problem is that ShivIka are not looking and acting like a couple that have been through a painful 3 months separation. It was traumatic and they haven't talked about it. They both apologized in the gazebo scene and I am fine with that. They don't need to say sorry anymore but they do need to talk about what they went theough. Surely it can't be that easy to move past it? They are acting like a couple who have been together for a long time. It's like they skipped a phase and that's causing the disconnect.

People have been saying that they saw NaRbhi in ShivIka today and I agree. I saw some shades of them in between today. Shivaay was flipping betweenbeing Shivaay/billuji/NM. I saw SC in Annika as well to some extent. The problem could be the script and direction. A major event happened in ShivIka's lives last week and right after that a filler track started. This I think is giving some problems to NaRbhi with how to portray their characters. They have to be told in the script how their characters have to act right? I think they are not getting those directions in the script and that's why we are ending up seeing them in some parts of the episode. Once a proper track starts and NaRbhi have something with substance to act on I think we will get more of an idea as to how to portray their characters.

For whatever reason they have decided to drag the shaadi until the last 2 weeks of September and that means we will get more filler tracks. I also don't think that CVs have decided on where to go with ShivIka after their marriage and are dragging the marriage to give themselves time. We know that drama will start once shaadi starts and as soon as SC comes back from her well deserved vacation they might start the shaadi track. So let's brace ourselves for this week and next week guys. We have been through the crappy separation track so we'll be fine

On a positive note, how gorgeous did SC look in that green saree from the BTS pics today? She finally got good clothes from Shivani Shirali. They will probably show that function this Friday or next week Monday so we have something to look forward to...

That turned out into a very long post and I don't know if it makes sense but I wrote what came to my mind. Chamelis and Chandnis are welcome😆

The obligatory disclaimer😆
PLEASE DON'T START FIGHTS. I DO NOT WANT THIS POST TO BECOME A WARZONE.

Bold I really hope makers fail to achieve this particular target
After watching the past two episodes my respect for LM grew 10 folds. And lastly shivani an jab akal aa hi gayi pls keep it and stop experimenting with clothes of actors in the name of fashion

The director didn't change. Lalit mohan who's the IB director went on a vacation last week so last few epis n the coming few epis were shot by ADs with no supervision hence why the scenes weren't shot well.

The past few scenes we've been able to see some narbhi in the shivika scenes rather than shivika. They're acting like narbhi do in real life, like friends rather than 2 people about to get married n you can see some of the narbhi mannerisms show up as well. I think this is because of the lack of a proper script so narbhi probably don't know how exactly shivika are supposed to be feeling right now hence the lack of intensity n out of characterness.

You mean this scene?...this is like a once in a blue moon event in IB-land😆

And +100000 on if they fix his goddamn hair, we'd all feel SO much better and it would actually feel like Shivaay instead of some unfamiliar version of him in horrible kurtas and poop colored hair😕😆

Last 2-3 epis toh have been about NM-SC just goofing around and having fun in this happy mode...and that's cute in it's own way but long term it doesn't work...they need to get back into the dynamic of Shivika.
