ShivIka 3S - The Devil and His Mischief-Maker

Rudra panted as he stood in front of the waiting family and a very tensed Shivaay. "Can't find her anywhere."

In came Gauri, "Bhoujai has somehow managed to vanish!"

Shivaay groaned and dialled her number again. When it was directed to voicemail, he irately threw the phone, shattering it to pieces. It landed straight at Vikram's feet amd Shivaay couldn't help but notice how everything broken of his managed to fall near Vikram's feet.

His eyes then flitted to Vikram's face and Shivaay swore that Vikram was so 'bored' right now, he might just walk away. Fury went ablaze inside him. Not thinking before rushing towards Vikram, Shivaay held him by his collar, venting out the anger, frustration, irritation and most importantly the feeling that he tried hard to dismiss: jealousy.

Rudra and Om pulled him before he could murder the choking guy. Vikram coughed a bit as he straightened his sherwani. "Mr. Shivaay Singh Oberoi, I already have been insulted enough for the day. I won't stand here for even a minute." Saying so, he strode out of the house, not really causing any difference in anybody's moods except Pinky and Ragini. While these 2 women grew irritated at how Anika had a nice chance of coming back to Shivaay, everyone else worried where Anika was, because they knew Shivaay wouldn't have let this marriage happen anyways.

"Anika Bhabhi was planning this for a long time." Om mused with a ghost of a smile. "I mean, she specifically asked us not to let the media come or invite a lot of guests so as to make sure Vikram wasn't humiliated."

"How thoughtful of her!" Shivaay scowled.

"Bhaiya, we should party!" Rudra grinned. Shivaay looked at him in shock. "Arey, finally you guys would cave in to your love na?" Rudra grinned cheekily making everyone smile except a few oblivios idiots. Shivaay included.

"Rudra, it's not like Anika is standing here, asking me to marry her or telling me the truth. She has run away. RUN away." Shivaay rolled his eyes. "Khanna!!" He bellowed.

*

Three days, it had been three days since the auspicious day of Anika running away from her faux of a marriage with Vikram.

Shivaay ran a hand through his hair. Still no information about where Anika was. Did he hurt her so much that she would never come back? Did he push her to the edge? He shook his head negatively. He should have learnt not to jump to conclusions by now.

Rudra and Om looked at Shivaay from outside his room. He looked so tired and defeated, yet determined to get Anika back.

"O, where did Bhabhi go?"

"Honestly Rudra, I can't think of any place except for those that Shivaay has thoroughly searched and kept guarded. I don't understand, where could she hide."

*

Mallika stood outside the room, not understanding how to go in. Anika must be really sad. Taking a deep breath, she knocked on the door. On receiving no answer, concern clouded her thoughts and she burst into the room, only to be surprised.

Anika sat on the bed, laughing as she watched a rom-com, chocolates in her hand. Where did she get those from?.

When Anika started laughing really hard, Mallika started debating with herself if Anika was suffering from some Post-traumatic syndrome. When Anika finally bothered to notice Mallika's presence, she turned to her with a bright smile. "Mallika! Come, sit and enjoy. I haven't seen you for so long. I know, you must be really busy."

Mallika obliged, still not sure if Anika was alright. "Thank you so much for giving me shelter to live. I would have stayed at my home but that stupid Bagad Billa must be walking there like a tiger. Why the hell is he so insistant on getting me married to the other guy, uh what was his name, yeah, Vikram Thappar?"

"Aren't you depressed or something?" Mallika asked with a weird smile. Who even asks a happy person why they aren't depressed? That's so... sadistic!

"Depressed?" Anika asked with a cheeky grin. "Mallika, were you 'depressed' when you ran from your wedding? No! That's because you knew you were going to marry your Prince Charming, sooner or later. You were upset with his actions but did that stop you from having fun? No! So that's what I am doing. As a matter of fact, Shivaay wouldn't have let me marry that idiot. He was 'playing' with my feelings for him to get the truth out of me. Similarly, I was 'playing' with his feelings fo me to make sure I am not married away to another guy. You know, we have tadi bigger that egos." Anika had started off cheerfully and gradually turned low, chuckling after her last statement. Mallika smiled a small smile as well.

"I know he would have done something or the other to stop our wedding even if it was at the last phera. But I couldn't take it. Waiting till the last phera, hoping that he shouts a dramatic 'STOP!'. I couldn't perform any of those rituals with any other man. I couldn't, I can't and I won't. Ever. Let Shivaay Singh Oberoi do whatever he wants to. I complied with other functions but actually sitting on the wedding dias with anybody else is crazy."

"Well, Sid told me that Vikram has returned to Australia. I think you should go and sort things with Shivaay. Sitting here, waiting for some miracle to happen, isn't practical."

"Mallika, if you want, I can move out of your house but don't ask me to go and talk to Shivaay. Not now when I don't even know where I stand in his life. He still doesn't trust me enough to let me in without knowing what's happening and he doesn't even accept that farak padta hai!"

"Anni, you are acting like a kid! Do you want Shivaay to come and talk to you?"

"I really don't know Mallika. I don't." Anika sighed. Mallika walked out of the room, thinking how to make her understand. At this point, Mallika hardly understood what's right and what's wrong with these people. They could act like the mature adults that they supposedly are and address their problems. But then, Mallika asking them to do so would be hypocrisy. Anika had made Shivaay understand and let her stay without even asking for an actual explanation. Mallika could do that for her as well.

*

Anika had jumped out of the window with Gauri's help and managed to escape. She had made Gauri swear that she won't tell anyone and Gauri's words were: "I don't even know you are missing!" With an extremely sweet smile. God had been particularly happy when he wrote Gauri, Om, Rudra and Bhavya in her life. And then he had been in mixed emotions when he wrote hers and Shivaay's story. So much of tadi to deal with.

She had run to Mallika's place who had been pleasantly surprised to find her on her door on the day of her marriage. Anika had quickly explained the situation and Mallika had happily let her in. Finally Anika knew the thrill of what running away from your own wedding was.

That day, Anika had spent locked in a room, opening the door only when Mallika brought some food. They had chatted and caught up on each other's lives while having food, just like the first time they met.

The next three days went about faster. They used to talk whenever Mallika was free, even Sidharth and Anika became good friends. Playing board games, watching flicks, living in solitary confinement otherwise, Anika somehow spent her time.

*
About two hours later, Anika heard some hustle outside her room. She heard the sound of the door opening and sighed. She felt as if Shivaay was nearby. She ignored the feeling, blaming the fact that she missed Shivaay.

"Mallika, glad you are here. Honestly, I gave it a thought. If you aren't okay with it, I'll move out. I feel like a over-pampered kid with the way I am using your home. Just one request. Please don't talk about me going to the Oberoi Mansion or clearing things with Shivaay 'Devil' Singh Oberoi."

"Two things. One, I AM going to talk about your escape from the Oberoi Mansion and your return as well. Two, this isn't Mallika. This IS your devil."

Anika's eyes widened and she turned around. There stood, Shivaay Singh Oberoi, his hair messed, his eyes tired yet a tinge of happiness and achievment and a smug look adorning his devilishly handsome face.

-
You know I am so happy that I could finally complete this thing. Believe it or not, this thing has seen all the electronic devices at my place and is wandering everywhere for the past 2 weeks, waiting to be completed. Even though it started as a oneshot, I had to stop right here. *Sly smile*. As a matter of fact, I am so happy that I could actually write something because I don't get the time to even read!

I'll try to update soon and by that I actually mean soon. But, since it is me, you never know 😆. Kidding. I am halfway through the second part as well. Should be up by the weekend. Hopefully.

If reading this made you smile, even for a bit, please comment and like. Helps me going.

Cheers,
Krishi ❤️

P.S. No PMs. I don't have the time. So sorry

Shot 2

Anika's heart was the first one to react. Erratic heart beats topped with the happy-bubbles in her gut. When her brain finally started processing the presence of her ex'-husband, she jumped, toppling the bowl of chocolates. In any other situation, she would have lamented over the chocolates lying unfashionably on the floor but there were a lot of things that occupied her thought-processes.

Like the fact that Shivaay looked furious and would break a few phones right away or kiss her out of breath. Or the fact that he not-so-politely took the tray having food from the person standing outside the room and shut the door on their face. Or the fact that her heart would jump out of her ribcage, directly in his arms. Shaking her head a little bit, she narrowed her eyes.

"What are you doing here? Anika managed to stutter.

"What are you doing here? Shivaay raised an eyebrow.

"Stop repeating what I say!

"Stop stumbling away from me!

It was then that Anika noticed. With every statement they spoke, Shivaay took a step towards her (long one, may I add) and Anika took a step away (extremely small as compared to his steps).

Anika straightened herself, composing herself. "Why are you here? Her words were broken, tired.

"I could ask the same thing to you. Shivaay reflected the hurt.

Anika lowered her eyes, looking away. Few quick strides, and Shivaay stood in front of her challengingly, his demeanor dominating.

"Mr. Shivaay Singh Oberoi, I don't want to talk to you.

"But I want to, Mrs. Shivaay Singh Oberoi.

"Ex Mrs. SSO. Anika muttered, stressing on ex'.

"Future Mrs. SSO Shivaay was quick, stressing on future'.

Anika immediately looked up. Shivaay looked at her with an amused smile and a cheeky grin fighting its way.

Anika stared at him, confused and lost. Not giving her mind a chance to go in any other direction, Shivaay slid his hands around her waist. Anika closed her eyes as her body took in his familiar touch. Shivaay leaned towards the base of her neck, nuzzling. Anika's hands caught hold of his coat, fisting the fibre tightly.

"Anika, please, let's just get back to the way we were a few month ago. Shivaay's vulnerable voice made her shiver.

"The air-conditioner's temperature is too low. Anika muttered making Shivaay chuckle, slightly pulling away.

He looked in her eyes, contemplating what his next words and actions should be. Anika gave him a small smile, nervousness seeping in. He didn't want to give room to any confusion, misunderstanding or negative as such. Doing what his heart wanted him to, he placed his lips on hers.

He pulled a little away scanning her face for any signs of repulsion. "Should've done this earlier? Hai na?

Warmth burst like firecrackers in both their systems, electricity jolted in their blood. Shivaay's grip on her waist and Anika's grip on his shoulders, tightened simultaneously.

When they pulled away, Anika looked at him with warm eyes. If she was lost before, she was on her way home now. Anika wrapped her arms around his waist, resting her head against his chest.

"Why are you so stubborn? she muttered. When Shivaay pulled a little away to look at her in confusion, she quickly pulled him again. "If you wouldn't have been, we could have prevented a lot of unhoni and done this sooner.

"Done what sooner? Shivaay asked with a smug look.

Anika rolled her eyes at his tadi.

"But, Future Mrs. Oberoi, Shivaay started, "you love my stubbornness, or rather should I say, tadi'.

"Who said so? Anika mused.

"Nobody needs to.

Anika snuggled more into him as the feeling of oneness spread through them.

It was then that something struck Shivaay.

He pulled away, making Anika look at his with raised eyebrows.

"I totally forgot why I was here!

Anika looked at him in shock as the fact dawned on her as well. Before she could even say anything, Shivaay wrapped his hands around her and picked her up in bridal style. Anika's eyes widened and she started hitting him on the chest.

"Put me down you Jungli Bagad Billa!

Her struggles were futile as Shivaay stood there, unaffected by her oh-so-terrible move set.

"Anika, I promised OmRu that I'll make sure that I carry you home so that you don't get a chance to run away. I keep my promises.

"And it could have been worst. Using those typical kidnapping techniques of chloroform, blindfold, darkness and stuff. You should be happy. I am taking you home very, very decently. He added as an afterthought.

"This is not decent. This is immature! What will Mallika, Sid and their family think about me?

"I have a lot of things to clear darling, he drawled. He did notice the beautiful blush forming on her cheeks.

"One, this isn't immature, this is romantic. He winked only to have her cheeks turn crimson.

"Two, why is that Siddharth Vikram Rana has a pet-name and I don't? he muttered with a scrunched nose.

"Three, they will only think that I care a lot for you and am taking so much pains for you. He smiled.

"One, Anika mimicked Shivaay, "romantic my foot!

"Two, you do have a nickname. In fact you have a lot of those. I could publish a book and earn a lot. Best-selling in Humor.

"In tragedy... Shivaay murmured, loud enough for Anika to hear. She chuckled but was back to her debate.

"And three, they'll think I am immature, throwing tantrums like a kid.

"At least you agree you are being childish. Shivaay smiled a fake smile.

"Shivaay, it isn't like that. There are a lot of justifications for my behavior.

"We'll hear those when we reach home.

"Shivaay put me down or I'll run away again.

"I won't let you. Ever. Shivaay firmly stated. His tone decided that their discussion was over.

She didn't know how it came to her and what was she thinking exactly, but her next words were: "You'll put me down if you love me.

I am so sorry for extending it but I wanted to leave it here. And anyways, there are a lot of things that I want to add so you guys gotta expect another part. Since it is a 2S and I am not sure how long would the next part be, this is Part (A) of Shot 2.

Leave me another set of wonderful comments because they flatter me. 😳😆

Cheers,

Krishi ❤️
