Because Annika despite being older doesn't remember a thing but chutki, she doesn't even remember who her parents are!
While bhavya is supposed to remember how her family got killed etc!
It has no logic at all, however since when has CVs cared about sense!
I completely accept that no two sisters are actually alike, but then we shouldn't forget that people are moulded into their respective personalities due to the events they encounter in their life since they are small.
However being a sister means a deep connection, irrespective of what your personality is!
N unfortunately bhavya n annika don't give us nor have that special connection at all. At least this is my POV😆
First and foremost, Annika not remembering anything but Chutki is perfectly logical. I'm a psychology student, and so I guarantee you that its quite common for trauma victims to form mental blocks, and only remember certain elements of their memories. On the other hand, Bhavya has probably reacted to the trauma in a different way, wherein, no matter how much she tries, she cannot forget her family. So yes, that part does make sense.
If we go by that theory, that an individual's experiences build their personas (which makes perfect sense), then that essentially doesn't change anything. Annika's childhood, compared to Gauri's, appears to be worse. Despite anyone else's mistreatment, Gauri has a loving mother while Annika, at a very young age, has to play mother to Sahil. Gauri's resilience and optimism stems from the fact that she has still gotten enough love to provide her with psychological sustenance. Annika's realist personality is reflective of all the hardship and suffering she has faced throughout her life.
And I agree with the 'deep connection' you speak of, to a certain extent. Having a sister of my own, I can't deny there being some sort of a bond between people - but I also think that blood relations are not the only ones that can forge these. Being linked in spirit (as someone said earlier), as Annika and Gauri are, may constitute for the 'bond' you see between them.
Personally though, I feel like this 'connection' is a bit contrived. The deep music in the background, the wind blowing should not automatically assert a connection between two individuals. Its kind of like that cliched 'spark' that people claim to feel when they fall in love - I honestly think that its an overbought theory. If the CVs use this immature form of relationship facilitation to show familial relations, I will truly lose any shred of respect I had for them.
Good to hear your opinions, though!
