Of course they don't, but if you read earlier responses, then I will always make sure to say that people are entitled to their opinions. If people are respectful, then they get it back. When it starts getting out of hand, like this thread has, that is when the replies are more defensive.

I have better pairs.. Gauri should be omkaara;s long lost sister.. born out of tej's rasleela.. (Humhe mukthi milegi is pagalkhana se..)🤣🤣

Nagini should be chutki and Ani will run away..

Lana and Jhanvi should be sisters.. and we have an interesting equation there...🤣🤣

No one is saying that being Annika's sister will make them a goddess, so I don't get the frustrating sarcasm either. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, so if some fans do want them as sisters, I don't understand why that is so hard to process.

You have said it for yourself...everybody has there own opinion
And nobody is frustrated here
Trust me...you can ask any RiKarian...i had always been opposed to AniRi...not only AniRi...i am opposed to any sister track...because the name of the serial is Ishqbaaz and the focus should be on the couples...if any sister track comes...knowing the track record of our CVs...we all know what will happen

So no, there is no big deal about Gauri being the sister.

If you think that the sister track will ruin the couple track, that is your own opinion. Some other RiKara fans obviously do want them to be sisters. Either way, what you want won't make a difference - the final call will always be the CVs'.

Oh come on...no one is defensive over here...
How can I be defensive when I am one of the biggest Gauri bashers ...I love Shrenu Parikh...but Gauri is just getting on my nerves.

And I dont think in any of my comments I am defensive...why should I be defensive...that too for a fictional character???😕

Just gave an opinion...because in ATs cross discussions aren't allowed

i dont understand the same too priya.. like everyone we are voicing our opinions too.. and then it becomes defensive.. what is difference between opinion and defensive.. i think ppl need to get cleared.. like it was said, when we voice out our opinions, ppl take it as making "Huge deal" and "OTT" and those comments which are in line to this analysis are termed as mature conversations.. I dont get it.. at all😕

And honestly, I don't see why you would think that Gauri fans are in the minority on the forum. All I see, everywhere these days are Gauri fans.
As for wanting an AniVya post, I did. I mentioned Gauri only because she was the other, more common option, and so it was necessary for a comparative. I don't understand why people got so defensive over it, though.

See I would call them Gauri fans only if they come to the AT...which they dont...you know as well as me...there are some members who come just to pick fights (Most are newbies if you see)
And posts are always hijacked...nothing new
And you repeatedly calling me defensive...i havent defended anyone...infact I have supported your view totally...i myself have discussed this in the AT...also...so how can I oppose this?😕

Innu! 🤗
Firstly, your post is insightful and intelligently put, which is why I enjoyed reading it so much. Thought-provoking discussion, like yours, makes visiting the forum worthwhile.

Coming to the post, I can see why you had to attach such an elaborate disclaimer. It's that one particular fandom that really puts me off this show and this forum. Also, to the people who attack Manasi as an actress: grow up. Criticizing her action scenes as Bhavya is the same as criticizing Shrenu for Gauri's speech impediment. Neither actresses have control over what their characters are made to do and forced to behave. Let's stop attacking people for what they cannot change.

Ignore the passive aggression and bring forth the intellectual discussion.

We've spoken at length about this before and so you already know where I stand on this matter. This entire sister track makes me nauseous because it seems like a Four Lions' trademark, it is just that overused. The idea of a set of sisters unknowingly and coincidentally marrying a set of brothers is so pathetically banal and I would much prefer if neither Gauri nor Bhavya are Annika's Chutki. In fact, I would even hate for another actress to come in as Chutki as the cast is already too big and the perpetual struggle for screen space is very controversial amongst certain fandoms. I wish Annika would just get closure. The likelihood of finding one's long lost (supposedly dead sister) is minimal in reality and though, it would be heartwarming to see Annika finally reunite with her sister, it would be so much more satisfying to see her just make peace with her past.

Nevertheless, if the writers eventually do progress with the sister track, I agree with you: Bhavya has greater potential as Annika's sister. If we ignore the evident mistakes that writers have made in establishing her character/background and concentrate simply on her personality and intentions, Bhavya is a compelling protagonist. Her being a permanent fixture in OM can cause so much conflict of interest in the future. Moreover, her dynamic with Annika is intriguing as both these women with such damaged pasts deals with their respective traumas in absolutely divergent ways. I can definitely see a confrontation of epic proportions unfolding if Bhavya were to discover that Annika is her sister. The anger, resentment and obviously, eventual reconciliation would be delightful to watch. All in all, this is a story, that I could still buy into.

However, nothing would more cringeworthy than Gauri ending up as Annika's sister. No disrespect to Shrenu, (my criticism is purely directed at the writers) Gauri is eccentric, to put it mildly. So far, she seems unpredictable and it's difficult to understand if the writers are deliberately inconsistent with her or is just a confused person. Is she the sweet, loving unicorn? Or the so-called 'grey' character who can stand up to anyone except her husband? At times, Gauri is absolutely endearing, but there are also moments when I have to bury my face in my hands because she is so embarrassingly orthodox. I like the idea of Annika and Gauri being bonded by a close friendship because one cannot choose their siblings, but they can choose their friends. They became family, the moment they met, but the fact that they choose to maintain this relationship is so much more meaningful. The one thing I really love about Gauri is that she is steadfastly loyal to Annika and just like she has mentioned before that there doesn't need to be a label for their relationship, there also does not need to be blood ties between them because they are connected by their love for each other.

Merely the notion that Annika and Gauri must be related because they seem similar is ludicrous and laughable. Even if this was the case, the similarities between Annika and Gauri are superficial at best like you've mentioned. I agree that Annika and Gauri are both loud-mouthed oddballs who are intensely protective of their loved ones and can be very compassionate. But on a deeper, more subconscious level, Annika and Bhavya share greater similarities. Annika is indubitably an ESTP and Bhavya is an ISTP: both women are Sensors/Thinkers/Perceivers. To a large extent, both are rational people who prioritise thought over feeling. They tend to be stubborn and risk-prone, but are both inherently moral.

Conversely, ENFP Gauri is clearly emotional and driven by her feelings and intuition. Despite being warm and loving, she would resort to wrongful means for the sake of protecting her loved ones. This is a quality that I admire, but I do believe that this really sets her apart from Annika and Bhavya who are moral to a fault. Though I don't believe that personality can define the potential for a sibling relationship, even then, Bhavya is more similar to Annika than Gauri is.

If we have to have a sister track, my vote goes to Bhavya.

I'm sorry that a great post turned into a battle zone. Be fearless and keep posting your thoughts, because I love hearing that clear, analytical voice of reason!

❤️
