That's how the soul of the Ishqbaaz brothers, Omkara Singh Oberoi, perceived love until one day, all his illusions were broken.

"Aaj is aag mein meri ma toh nahi jali, lekin uska who achcha beta jalke marr gaya...Aapne pathar ko dil bante huye dekha hai, par aaj aap dil ko pathar bante hye dekhenge.

But a stone doesn't have a heartbeat:

"Ishq sirf ek sauda hain, jisme dil deke dard sehna padhta hain.

While his beliefs have been reduced to a bargain, there is someone who believes that love is all give and no take.

"Hum jise chahein uska milna zaroori kaha hai, hum toh chahne bhar se hi khush hai. Meera, Krishnaji ko bina paaye bhi kitni khush thi.

Gauri kumari Sarma lives and breathes her viswas, and with her Shankarji as her guardian, who can defeat her?

What happened when these two collided?

"Baat band lo, gaath ho jo, Viswas hai loha, kaach guroor,

Bambaiyaan tashan jo aaye Bareilly, ho gaye bhaiyaa chaknachoor.

They thought this was the first and last time they met, but jo rishta uparvaala jodhta hai use kaun todh sakta hain.

Itefaaq (coincidence) and Galatfaimi (misunderstanding) were the constants in their equation. While he thought the worst of her, she summed him up correctly:

"Koi apne dil mein itni nafrat leka kaise jee sakta hain. Zaroor aapke saath kuch bura huya hoga, kisine aapka dil dukhaaya hoga, tabhi aap aise ho gaye hain.

Though he humiliated her, she prayed for his life. Though in his eyes, she couldn't sink any lower, he still saved her life. Somewhere beneath his anger, humanity still survived. Now bound in a relationship he doesn't accept, he left her, vowing never to see her again.

Gauri might be Meera, but she is not Sita, who would give her agnipariksha. Let him judge her harshly, who apna dharm nibhayegi, par door se. She vowed never to impose herself on his life.

But Itefaaq bhi kamaal ki cheez hain.

Boy meets girl. They fall in love. They live happily ever after. Not in this story.

Boy meets boy(?) They fall in friendship. And this is just the beginning.

From Tashanbaazi to yaarana, the tales of Chulkara, is our own version of brains meets brawn, our own batman and robin (make no mistake, Chulbul is the batman here.)

"Mera promise hain, aaj se tu mera best friend hain, aur main, Omkara Singh Oberoi, yeh rishta zindagi bhar nibhaunga

When he lost hope, Chulbul extended his (?) hand and brought him back from the throes of darkness, to the light of his (?) viswas. One day of separation would cause him anxiety, and he promised to protect him (?) from harm.

"Jaan dede uske khaatir, jisko kehte hum yaar hain, rok le hum maut ko, yeh toh bas talvaar hain.

True friendship is hard to find, but when the truth is revealed, could their friendship survive it? Apparently not. As Gauri rose from ashes of Chulbul, Omkara was hurt beyond belief. He left her again, but yeh Itefaaq bhi kya cheez hain, jinko milna hota hai, who mil hi jaate hain.

When he needed her aid, she came back again. He made it a deal, she made it her duty. When the deed was done, she was needed no more, or so he thought.

He humiliated her, he asked her to leave. She took it all in silence. Until he was safe, she would bear all disgrace.

But he couldn't keep the blindfold on his eyes for long, and not see what his soul knew already.

With her duty fulfilled, she was ready to leave, but now, he wasn't ready to let her go. And finally, she said it all.

"Kyun ruke him yahaan..taaki aap phir ek din humse kahe de ki yahaan se chali jaaon. Insaan ki izzat uske haato mein hoti hain, aur humne aapke haaton apni bahut bezzati kara li... Pata hai kyun? Kyunki humein apni izzat se zyada, aapki zindagi pyaari thi.

Pleading with her, in the name of her Shankarji, he succeeded in stalling her departure.

And then?

Picture abhi baaki hain mere dost!

Like SRK once said, "Pyaar dosti hain, and we've seen this dosti between them. Now waiting for the seven shades of Satrangi ishq: attraction, infatuation, love, reverence, worship, obsession, and death.

Not to forget the superb cast, i.e. our Shrenal, under superlative direction of Atif, which gave the audience some magical scenes, without any ingredients except their talent and dedication. Hope that we continue to get amazing scenes, if not, finally, a good story.
