Shivaay looked surprised but seeing the determined expression on the girl's face, he nodded and led her out to the balcony, not even glancing at his wife, brother and sister-in-law, who he was sure were dying to know just what was going on.

The three onlookers tried to keep their patience as the eldest Oberoi scion and Gauri seemed to have an intense conversation, but their curiosity was burning them. To their surprise, most of the talking seemed to be done by Gauri, with Shivaay barely getting the opportunity to say a few words in the middle. Gauri shook her head at whatever he'd said and emphatically stated something to which Shivaay countered with a shocked expression... but Gauri seemed to be set about what she'd said and after a little more back and forth, which was surprising because to their knowledge Shivaay Singh Oberoi never bargained on anything, it was his terms or nothing at all. But here, it seemed quite the opposite and they could literally see Shivaay accepting something very reluctantly at the end.

Almost five minutes after they stepped out, the two walked back in. The difference in their attitudes was startling to say the least. While Shivaay had walked out to the terrace looking in control, it was Gauri who returned looking confident and determined even as her eyes struggled to hide the shadows and pain that had been brought out by the discussion. Shivaay on the other hand, walked back to them deep in thought, glancing at Gauri intermittently with an assessing expression as if trying to figure her out.

Just as Anika was about to say something, Shivaay's phone rang. After another short conversation, he turned to the rest

"Khanna ne Om aur bade papa ke cars ko track kar liya hai. Aur wo keh raha tha ki Badi Maa ki car bhi usi jageh par hai jahaan doosri cars hain. Khanna mujhe wo address message kar raha hai. Humein abhi wahan jaana chahiye."

Shivaay turned to Gauri once more, the thoughtful expression back on his face

"Ek minute... before we go running off, Gauri kya tumhe pata hai ki wahaan Kaali ke kitne aadmi honge?"

She seemed to think for a second before shaking her head ruefully

"Sorry bade bhaiyya... humein nahin pata ki Kaali Thakur apne kitne aadmiyon ko laya hai. Lekin wo hamesha 15 se 20 aadmiyon ke bina kahin nahin jaata. Oh... is chakkar mein hum to aap ko bataana bhool hi gaye... us ke paas ek ghadiyaal hai"

She said it in such a matter of fact manner, that for a second it just went above everyone's heads, until Anika understood what Gauri was saying and screeched

"Oh bete ki... Ghadiyaal! Ye kya keh rahi ho Gauri! Us 2 Rupees waale aadmi ke paas gunde aur hathyaaron ke alaava ghadiyaal bhi hai? Mujhe to sochkar bhi michmichi ho rahi hai..."

"Ek second... what is this... ghadi..yaal"

And for the second time that day, Gauri had to explain what a Ghadiyaal was to an Oberoi brother and she was this close to losing it at the moment. Omkara and half of his family were stuck in the same house as a monster and an alligator and here they were, arguing semantics.

"Aap Oberoi khaandaan waale... school mein hindi nahin padhte kya? Ghadiyaal maane magarmach... wo kya kehte hain angrezi mein... crocodile!"

"Fhat the Wuck!" resounded from both the brothers, only it wasn't the censor appropriate version that they yelled.

"A bloody crocodile! Ye aadmi hai ya zookeeper... This is ridiculous man! Ek... Ek alligator ka saamna hum kaise karenge?"

That stopped everyone in their tracks. The idea of a huge gator roaming the halls of Kaali Thakur's mansion was as good a deterrent as any. It also made their worries about their family members all the more real and urgent.

"Kuch to karna padega humein... Shivaay kuch idea nikaaliye! Omkara, Bua Maa aur Badi Mom phase hue honge abhi wahaan... us ghadiyaal ke saath"

"Soch raha hoon Anika... but a crocodile?! How does someone deal with something like that? We can't even try to take a shot at it... Alligators and Crocodiles are notoriously hard to kill using guns"

"Are hum sab yahaan Om aur humare parivaar waalon ke baare mein soch kar paagal ho rahe hain aur aap ko deal ki padi hai? Kya aap... kya karne waale ho? Us ghadiyaal ke saath koi business deal karni hai aap ko?"

"Anika!... Calm down. Bas bole jaa rahi ho... Sochne ka mauka to do"

"Wo... humare paas ek idea hai... magar hum nahin jaante ki wo kaam aayega ki nahin. Aur hum ye bhi nahin jaante ki agar wo kaam aayega to use kaise istemaal karna hai"

"Chulbul... Oh sorry... Bulbul bhabhi... aap bolo. Jo bhi idea hai, usse hum kuch na kuch jugaad to kar hi lenge"

"Wo jo womaniya hai na... Sultana madam..."

"Woman..iya?"

"Ab ye Sultana kaun hai? O ki life mein itni saari ladkiyaan aur humein kuch bhi pata nahin chala?"

"Aap donon zara chup honge to Gauri kuch kahegi naa... Shuuu. Gauri ... tu aage bol"

"Hum keh rahe the... Sult-Svetlana hain na? Unko bahut shauk hai aise davaaiyaan aur... wo chemicals ke saath khelne ka... humein pata hai unke paas ek baksaa hai jisme wo ye sab chote chote botalon mein rakhti hain. Agar hum unke room mein talaash karenge to shaayad wo baksaa mil jaaye... Us mein shaayad koi behoshi ki davaa ya koi zehar jaisa kuch mil jaaye to hum use istemaal kar sakte hain us ghadiyaal ko rokne ke liye"

"Y...You want to stop a crocodile with some vials of we don't even know what?"

"Kaali Thakur ne humein bataaya tha ki Jango teen maheenon se bhukha hai... to shaayad use hum kuch khilaa sakte hain aur usko behosh kar sakte hain ya maar bhi sakte hain... isi liye hum ne socha..."

"Wait... ab ye Jango kaun hai aur teen maheenon se bhookha hai to zinda kaise hai abhi tak?"

"Oh Protein shake! Tum beech mein tokna band karoge to kuch plan ho paayega na?"

"Arre! Main to important questions pooch raha hoon na? Aur tum mujhe protein shake mat bulao"

"Stop it! Tum donon ko bacchon ki tarah argue karna hai to apne room mein jaao aur jitna argue karna hai karlo. Abhi we have to think of ways we can rescue Om and Badi Mom..."

"Haan to Gauri ne khidkitod idea diya hai na? Usi ka istemaal karte hain. Us Svetlana ke room mein chalke dhoondte hain na..."

"Aur tum Anika... kya khidkitod, khidkitod kar rahi ho? Tum log mujhe ek minute sochne doge to kuch hoga..."

"Acha... aapke paas isse behetar idea hai to bataaiye. Nahin to chup chap us cheapdi ke room ki taraf chalte baniye"

After a glare war that lasted almost half a minute, Shivaay sighed and shook his head, impatiently gesturing for Gauri to lead them to Svetlana's room.
