<Chapter 25>

Gauri's head was spinning when she woke up. Her head was weighing down and she couldn't get up. She felt as if the entire body is heavy. She opened her eyes with great strain. Her eyes popped out at what she saw. Her Jatadhari pati was sleeping so peacefully with his face buried in her chest, hands wrapped around her, and his disheaveled hair all over her neck. She couldn't see his face since his hair covered up the entire view. How in the world did he land up in her own bed on her? She tried to recollect what had happened last night amidst cloudy thoughts. She couldn't fairly recollect. She was not able to think what might have happened last night. She tried to remove his arms, but it was too fastened and heavy for her to take off. He was in a deep sleep. She couldn't even move an inch of her body since he was almost over it. She tried to check on her clothing with a rushed hurry. Her kurti was flung open in one of her shoulders, whereas the other side was intact. She tried to wake him up.

"Omkaara ji.. Omkaaraj ji

"Hmm.. Gauri bas 10 minute aur"

"Utiye naa.. Omkaara ji"

Omkaara opened his eyes. All those which happened last night was playing out on his eyes as a beautiful dream. He smiled. Realization hit him, that she is now sober and into senses. He saw that he was sleeping on her and lifted his face. He slowly tried to get up. After he got up, Gauri sat up on the bed in the hurry. She was trying to hurriedly correct her dress which had flung open here and there. Omkaara was seeing the hurriedness with which she was correcting her dress, and was smiling more. She had a curious expression on her face

"Kal kya hua tha" She asked in a doubtful manner

"Tumhe kuch bhi yaad nahi?" He was giving a naughty smirk. On seeing his smirk, her eyes widened more.

"Matlab"

"Matlab hum sirf baatein kar rahe the"

"Phir aap mere upar aake kaise so gaye aur kyun so gaye"

"Kyunki tum mujhe keechkar apne paas lekar aaye" he wanted to play with her tension bit more

"main.. main aapko keechkar layi.. kya.. mujhe kuch yaad nahi aaraha.. phir kya hua Omkaaraji" she was scared to even think.

"kuch nahi.. hum bas batein kar rahe the.. aur bahut neend aagaya mujhe.. aise hi sogaya tumhaari paas.. kyun, nahi sona chahiye mujhe aisa?"

"aur kuch nahi hua" her eyes had a terrified expression

"agar hota bhi, kya bura hai isme?"

"aap saaf saaf batayiye naa. Kuch nahi hua?"

"nahi.. tumhe lagta hai main aise haalat ki faayda utaoonga kya?"

"nahi nahi.."

"aur humhaari dresses bhi intact hain.. dekho.. kuch nahi hua. Yakeen hua naa?" he was teasing her.

"haan.. haan.. main nahaane ke liye jaa rahi hoon" she fled the scene and went and locked inside the washroom.

She closed her eyes.. hey sankar jee. Yaad nahi aaraha.. maine kya kar diya kal.. kuch juice piya tha aur phir kya hua..' she was thinking all the while during brushing the teeth.

"Aapki aankhen choclate ki thara hai" Gauri opened her eyes startled in the shower. Things of yesterday night started dawning one by one. 'Tumhaari baal khule hue.' Gauri closed her eyes tight holding the shower knob. Ye maine kya kya keh diya..'.. "Finally tumhe pasand hai. Haan" Gauri's calf moon eyes popped out. "Kya. Maine .wo.kya..sab." She couldn't even think more. She was not knowing how to face him. When she came out, luckily he wasn't in the room. She went on to take her classes and came after 2 hours. It was Anika's Godbharai function in the evening. The entire oberoi household was decorated and shining with bright lights. Gauri had taken off that day and planned to spend time with the family. After the breakfast, people were talking about the evening's festivities. Where the elders face were lit up evidently because of the arrival of the first baby of the next generation, the brothers were busy in the arrangements. Gauri was checking something near the mirror, while Omkaara stepped in and held her from the back side.

Aap.. kab aaye'

abhi abhi aaya, mujhse raha nahi jaa raha tha.. issliye jaldi jaldi kaam khatam karke aaya main' He was as usual playing near her neck and with her hair.

Gauri remained silent. Pata hai Gauri.. anika bhabhi ko dekhe mujhe naa.. tumhe bhi aise pot belly ke saat dekhne ki mann kar raha hai'

Gauri eyes widened with a unbelievable expression. What he has already gone there..? Why would he not..? After all she gave him all reasons to do so.

"aap bache ki baare mein soch rahe hai" she still asked with a controlled shock

"haan.. mujhe naa kam se kam 2 chahiye.. if its ok for you, 3 bhi chalega" Omkaara was smiling flashing his teeth

"kya teen bache!!??!!" Gauri was now fighting an already lost battle.

"haan 2 bachi tumhaari jaisa aur ek ladka mere jaisa"

Her eyes almost popped out.

"Ab aise darawni expression kyun deh rahi ho.. tum??"

"Nahi.. main expect nahi kar rahi thi, ki aap bache ki baare mein sochenge"

"Yeh to normal hai na.. pati patni ki aage mom dad to banna hi hai"

He continued "Par ab nahi Gauri.. tumhaari umar kam hai.. aur tumhe padayi complete karni hai.. grad join karne ke liye kam se kam 2 saal aur grads ke liye 3 saal. Poore 5 saal lagega hi.. uss waqt tak hum nahi sochenge bache ki baare mein. Tumhaari kar koi khwaaish poora karna chahtha hoon mein"

Her face lightened up at the last sentence. "Agar aise hua Omkaaraji, meri zindagi ki sabse badi kami poori hojayegi"

"Tum main koyi kami nahi hai Gauri. Padayi na karna tumhaari galti bhi nahi hai. Pata hai I feel very proud ki tum meri patni ho. Kitne log itni choti umar mein kaam karke ghar sambhalthe hai. Tumne apni maa ke liye jo kuch bhi kiya, main bhi nahi kar pata. Tum intelligent ho, brave ho aur hardworking independent woman ho. Tumhe kabhi bhi Oberoi ki pehchaan lene ki koshish nahi kiya. Tum sirf Gauri hi rahi. Yeh sab si achi baat hai, pata hai"

Gauri face was glowing. He thinks so high of her, like really?

"Sach mein, aap humhaare baare mein yahi sochthe?"

He looked into her eyes in the mirror. "haan"

Her smile flashed straight from her heart. He continued looking on to her in the mirror "Aur ek aur important baat, you look ravishingly beautiful. You are one butter soft creamy vanilla icecream" his grip tightened and voice had a touch of lusty tone.. "Kal jo kuch bhi hua, tumhe yaad aayi ?"

She didn't want to lie but didn't know how to accept. Her face turned pink and her cheeks had a deep pink blush. Omkaara knew his answer.

"So tumhe yaad hai"

"haan"

"Gauri.. mujhe pata hai.. ki you love me. Par main tumhaari moo se sunna chahtha hoon"

"wo.. main.." Gauri was still hesitating.

"bolo na.. please"

Her phone was ringing. She tried to move away in the pretext of taking the call. Omkaara wasn't leaving her.

"Omkaaraji.. chodiye naa. Call aarahi hai.."

"Nahi chodunga jab tak tum keh nahi lethi hai"

Gauri took a long breath.. "Main kahoongi.. par ab nahi. Kuch baatein man se aana chahiye.. sahi waqt pe. Yeh bhi aise hi baat hai" Her eyes faced down

"kya abhi bhi teri mann mein kuch rukawat hai Gauri"

"Rukawat nahi.. Darr hai.."

"Darr. Kis baat ki"

"Ki.. agar dobara main aapko kho na doon"

"Gauri.. Aisa kyun keh rahi ho.. tumhe abhi bhi lagta hai humhaare beech misunderstanding ho sakthi hai?? Main wada karta hoon Gauri, main iss risthe ko zindagi bhar nibahonga.."

"sach.."

"haan sach"

Gauri smiled and held his face in her palms sideways. Looking at him in the mirror "Teek hai'

Omkaara was looking at her doey eyes and the love that reflected in it. "Gauri ek aur baat'

"Kya hai' Her voice was silky soft

"hum iss weekend bahar jaa rahae.. Ek hill resort. Honeymoon pe... like real honeymoon. Main iss rishthe mein aage badana chahtha hoon Gauri. Tum samajh rahi ho naa. Hmm.. Bahut mushkil se mujhe control mein rehna pad rahe.. Take a day to think.. mujhe kal batao ki you are ok or not. Par tum forced mat feel karo.. agar tumhe aur bhi time leni hai.. toh its ok.. I totally respect your decision. Tell me tomorrow ki main bookings karoon ya na karoon..? ok." Omkaara was seeing her face to gauge what she thought, while Gauri was just standing with her eyes tiltled low.

"Gauri' he lifted her face to see her eyes clearly.. "mujhe dekho ek baar'

"hmm.." She lifted his eyes and looked through him in the mirror..

"I love you so much" he kissed in her cheek.
