Just a tangent question since u keep saying that Anika is a 12 year old girl stuck in the body of a young and beautiful woman, what according to you is Anika's age? We all know that Shivaay is about to turn 33. Anika as per Baja was 7-8 yeas old when he got her admitted to the orphanage. Sahil says he was very young when she was adopted. Sahil is 8, so it makes Anika not more than 20. She was also shown as Prinku's friend and Prinku calls Rudra as 'bhaiyya'..So is Anika 20-21 years of age? So it makes 12-13 years of age difference between her and Shivaay.

I watched that wedding scene a dozen or more times, not because of Annika but because of Shivvay and his whole attitude towards this wedding that was supposedly a sham for a day.

First of all he made sure she was dressed in all her bridal finery, as an Oberoi Bride would be dressed. I am sure a distraught Annika would not have cared whether she had jewelry on or not considering she knew this was a marriage that was to last only a day.

So her jewelry, look and her whole bridal attire was, without doubt, something that Mr. Oberoi made sure was done the way it should have been done, while he stood there watching. He would not have left her alone, of course, with the risk that she escaped his clutches again.

Why did she need all that if she was just a 'Replacement Bride' for a day??!! Didn't those things belong to his real 'would be' wife Tia who had all the right over those things and should not have to wear 'hand me downs' from a girl who was worthless in his eyes??!!
If the 'ghunghat' was going to cover her how did it matter whether jewelry was worn or not?? It was only a sham right?

In another show the guy didnt want to marry the girl. When it came time for the sindoor part, he didnt fill her maang, just pretended to do so. Shivaay could have done that but nope, he made it clear to put his claim, his stamp on her.
Right again!!! I thought I was the only one bothered by this at that time...lol
He looked way to peaceful, relaxed, happy, content and I will go as far as saying proud when marrying Annika and way less bothered that it was her not Tia who was going to be his wife.
He did not fidget and look distracted like he did when he was getting ready to sit with Tia for the puja.
He did not put on a face void of emotion as if steeling against something that was distasteful and had to be borne with a grin, like he did when he sat with Tia at their wedding mandap.

During the ceremony I expected a look of disgust when he had to hold her hand and wear the 'Varmala' but all I saw was a look of determination. I expected him to be rough and hurt her hand, in order to punish her, when he grabbed it to walk around the fire but the hold was firm not hurtful and his look was that of a satisfied man who was glad that she was not pulling it away from his grasp.
He made sure that all and every ritual was met and done. He actually put the sindoor (I too was expecting to see just an act of doing it, so that the marriage would not be legal and binding. I mean under that veil who would have known if he even put it elsewhere). He tied the mangalsutra with complete and utter honesty as a man marrying for keeps would.
There was no act on his part right from the time he stood in front of that mirror with her, absorbing and drinking in their reflections as a bridal couple. His deepest, darkest and most ardent desires came true that day.

Ha! ha! ... that would be cradle snatching on Mr. Oberoi's part then .. cheapde kahi key 😆

If you do the math like 'Calculator Singh Oberoi' would consider Sahil was just a year or two when she came to live with them. It makes sense then as her love for Sahil is more maternal and so is their bonding.
I do not think Annika was 7-8 and it is quite possible Mr. Bajaj was just guessing. Her sister looked 8-9 and she looked around 12. Then if you think about a few years spent in the orphanage when Sahil's dad brought her home she would have been around 15-16. When Sahil's parents died she may have been 19-20. Old enough to work but not adopt him and hence she put up with the Bua.
So 16 + 6 = 22 which makes absolutely no sense if you add it up that way. She is not younger than Rudy for sure.
Now if Sahil was just born and he had lost his wife to childbirth then that will make more sense. Annika being 16 when she came to live with them and that would make it 16+8= 24
Because Annika looks 24-25 or more to me not younger. She looks younger than Om a few years but definitely way older than Rudy or Saumya are.

So Annika 24 and Shivvay 32 (8 years difference) is more viable than the 12-13 years difference I feel. But then this is a soap and nothing needs to make sense...lol

Remember when Anika said the wedding was meaningless after he said it himself, his face was priceless... he had such a bratty expression with his nose turned 90 degrees like how dare she say that 🤣

Had to screenshot it ... 😳 😆

Yeah!! I remember looking at her makeup and hair, and thinking she's under a ghunghat, what difference would it have made? No one else would have seen it anyway 😆 But nope, SSO had to make sure she looked like his bride.

Why did she need all that if she was just a 'Replacement Bride' for a day??!! Didn't those things belong to his real 'would be' wife Tia who had all the right over those things and should not have to wear 'hand me downs' from a girl who was worthless in his eyes??!!

lol nope not the only one :) When Pinky stopped him for a second from putting the sindoor on, he kinda looked pissed she interrupted his moment 😆 And then he took his sweet time with the sindoor, trying to make the moment last as long as it could.

He looked way to peaceful, relaxed, happy, content and I will go as far as saying proud when marrying Annika and way less bothered that it was her not Tia who was going to be his wife.

I was expecting disgust too!! But not even for one second he looked that way. Despite thinking this woman "betrayed" him and slept with someone else, didnt seem disgusted one bit about marrying her.

Even with the ghunghat, I think it would have been noticeable if he didnt tie the mangalsutra. But the sindoor he could have gotten away with not putting it on. So as much as he claimed the next day that the wedding was meaningless, he clearly wanted it. Now if only he would man up, beat all his demons and move forward :p
