Shivaay and Anika had been deep in a romantic moment, their arms around each other, foreheads touching and staring deep into each other's eyes.

"Sorry... sorry. Main baad mein aata hoon."

He was about to walk out the door when he felt a hand at his shoulder. Turning, he saw Anika looking at him with almost motherly concern.

"Andar aao Om... Shivaay aur main tumhare aur Rudra ke liye humesha available hain" she said in a welcoming tone even as the blush of embarrassment started to recede from her face

"I'm really sorry for interrupting you guys... woh main..."

"Don't worry about it Om... Anika aur main, we're husband and wife... abhi sirf pause button dabaya hai, humare paas to poori life padi hai romance karne ke liye. Tu bataa... what's up?"

And Shivaay laughed at his wife's pretty blush returning as she hit him on the shoulder repeatedly for being so besharam in front of his own brother, muttering 'baagad billa', 'tadibaaz' and 'ek glass paani' under her breath.

"Wo... I just... I wanted to talk to you about something you said back in my room"

"Haan... bolo"

"Just to be clear... you think ki ye jo bhi feelings ke saath main lad raha hoon, it's because main Gauri se pyaar karta hoon?"

Shivaay and Anika looked at each other and turned to Om, nodding in unison

"Yes... hum dono ko lagta hai ki tum Gauri se pyaar karte ho... Aur ye jo bhi pareshani tumhe ho rahi hai it's because you haven't dealt with the fact ki tum usse pyaar karte ho. You have to accept that you love her and that you'll love her for the rest of your lives. Jab tum yeh accept kar loge, to tumhari saari emotional issues bhaag jaayengi"

"Kaise?"

"What do you mean kaise'?"

"I mean how do you know that I love her? Ki ye pyaar hi hai? Poori life wala pyaar? Forever after and all that..."

Before Shivaay could say anything, Anika stopped him

"Om... ek baat bolo. Main tumse kuch sawaal poochoon to jawab doge?"

At his nod, she continued

"Agar tumne kisi anjaan ladki ko museebat mein dekha... wo kaali Thakur ki tarah koi use uthaake le jaa raha ho... to kaisa feel karoge?"

Om was wrong-footed by the question and blinked at Anika for fifteen seconds before trying to answer her

"Obviously use bachaane ki koshish karoonga. No one deserves to even be near a monster like that!"

"Maine nahin poocha ki tum kya karoge... wo to mujhe pata hai ki tumhare bas mein jo bhi hoga tum us ladki ko bachaane ki koshish mein zaroor karoge. Tum teenon bhai yahi karoge aur main ye achi tarah jaanti hoon"

"I think... mujhe uski chinta hogi. I will feel worried for her, for her safety... like any normal human being I guess."

"Acha... agar wo ladki main ya Soumya hoti to?"

Now the answer came even before she finished the question

"To mujhe pehle inta dar lagta ki main paagal ho jaata. I can't lose either of you... we can't lose you. Tum dono hum OBros ki life mein nahin hoti to hum sab toot jaate. Seconds later, I would be so angry that I would probably... no, definitely kill whoever tried to hurt you"

Anika's eyes were wet by the time Om finished... she quietly squeezed his hand in gratitude and affection while Shivaay looked away, trying to blink back his own emotions. He'd been rattled by the thought of Anika in danger and Om's answer had kindled his emotions a little too easily.

"Ab ek last question... agar wo ladki Gauri hoti to?"
