"I need Miss Anika", replied Shivay in wicked tone.
Swetlana and Tej looked at each other and then Shivay in confusion.
"What do you mean, Mr Singh?", enquired Swetlana.
"I just mean I want the design team headed by your to be daughter-in-law Miss Anika to work in our office. Since, I had already decided to invest in your project I think that should be no problem, Mr Bakshi."
"Well, we do not have problem but why are you interested to invest? I mean you know..."
"Mr Tej, I take my decisions judiciously. I know very well that Bakshi fashions has lost a lot of money in the previous financial year and this venture is going to be important for company which means you are going to make all the right moves to ensure the best and I do 'the best'.", interrupted Shivay "I demand 40% share in profits with a 50% investment in your project. I will save you from taking loan from the bank and you give a platform to start some business in Delhi. What do you say, partners?."
"Mishra!", called out Shivay.
"Sir, I have brought all the documents.", told Mishra handing them over to Mr Tej.
Tej moved out of the cabin along with Swetlana to discuss about the deal. He knew this was a very good chance to revive his image in the market. This was precisely what he wanted when he had invited Shivay to his mansion, a generous investment since Bakshi Empire no doubt a supremo of its own but was loosing it's ground in the industry since past two years.
Finally, all of them agreed and signed the papers before leaving Shivay all alone toasting his success.

"Hello! Anika beta. I have sent the address of your new workplace and the driver will take you there at around 9:00 am.", informed Tej over the call.
Anika was a daughter to him and she was the best. Anika was a gold medalist during graduation and Tej immediately absorbed her into his venture. Even though Om and Anika were to be marry each other for the deal but secretly Tej was happy with his to be daughter-in-law. He considered her to be perfect considering his reputation plus the responsibility of taking the empire forward because Om was proving to be completely useless in terms of business aptitude.
There was no one home. Life has always been for Anika. Hence, she devoted all her time and energy in her work perhaps that might be the reason she did her job the best.
After working continuously for long hours, her mind needed a break. She twisted her neck to left and then right to ease out the stress. She picked up her phone to go through the notifications. As was grazing through, a shadow passed by the outside of her room. She noticed and her eyes went wide in fear.
She was reminded of that unknown person that day. She called out for the person to show up but no response came. She looked around outside to ensure there was on one.
She wore the see through jacket over her purple covered night robe and moved towards the kitchen to have water.She poured water from the jug into the empty glass and took a sip.
She let out a sigh wondering if it really was her imagination.She looked around one last time to suffice herself.
The hall was huge and open. There was no secret corner as such to hide. Perhaps, she just needed a good sleep.
She turned around to keep the jug in its place when suddenly she saw a masked man standing right right behind her inches away.
The jug fell from her hands in shock and she screamed out loud in fear but unfortunately there was no one to hear her. Tensed she started running in full speed towards her room but the figure stood at its own place. She ran up stairs, tears welling up in her eyes taking quick glances at that static, black figure.
In no time she reached her room , and bolted the door from inside. She started searching her phone in hurry but was unable to find it.
"Bed...pe hi to tha", she murmured to herself and continued searching in desperation.
"Yeh dhoond rahi ho, 'Anika'", came a voice loud enough to freeze Anika in her place. It was the same voice! He was here.
With almost no courage left inside her she turned to face the man slowly. But, even before she could complete the motion, the lights went off further scaring Anika. There was not a single thing she could see in the dark.
"Where was that man? What was he going to do to her?", she wondered. Her eyes were swollen red in agony. She could not decide what to do and prayed for mercy.
He covered her mouth with his hands and pushed her against the wall. She shrieked out in shock but voice failed to come out. She struggled to get his hands off her. Alas, he was strong.
"Shhh...Anika! I am not here to scare you."
She stopped struggling waiting for him to continue.
"Don't you dare do anything which annoy me. And, you will not marry Omkara and if you dare go against my words the consequences will be as frightening as this cold dark night."
Gaining some courage she pushed him away, but before she could run he twisted her hands behind her back bringing her close to his form.
The heat radiating from his flesh showed how angry he was on Anika.
He pulled her making her hiss in pain.
"You really think you can outsmart.", saying so he brought her lips close to his own.
"If I desire, I can mark you as mine in this very moment but I won't because I will make you and the people around you suffer.", he let her off with force making her fall on the bed and himself vanished into thin air leaving a dreaded Anika all alone in the room.
The lights came back and Anika noticed the red marks all around her fist. She sobbed trying to figure what had just happened.
Why did this strange man want and why her? What has she done to him?
She wondered looking at her disheveled figure in the mirror.
