This is exactly why i was panicking yesterday. This. This heartbroken frozen, resigned face she had, while she sat removing her bangles in her room. How she spoke with controlled volume and pitch, but the words she said carried SO much weight and burden, it was too much for Shivaay to bear also.

He was giving placatory words, he even removed himself from the rasam. But he had no leg to stand on in front of this Annika, this one who isn't mincing her words. She isn't even showing tadi or anger, that he can fault her with, she is calm yet a hurricane rages inside her.

For the first time, she depended on someone, used Shivaay's name to vouch for her courage and safety, and she found it hollow. She must be regretting every word she spoke to Daksh. Shivaay speaks his same old vague nebulous excuses but he knew she wasn't buying any of it today. Her trust in him is wavering.

Episode:

KK starts some rasam, the married Oberois are to put on a dupatta on Prinku. When it came to Shivaay and Annika's turn, he smiled and asked for Annika's hand. They were about to walk up when KK denies their relationship, as outside the walls Shivaay's wife is Tia Kapoor.

Omkara speaks up for Annika. Rudra speaks up for Annika. Jhanvi insists Annika is their Bahu. Shakti is busy Oh Lala ing to say anything. Tej tell them not to make it a big deal. KK spells it out clearly ..

Outside, Tia Kapoor , is Shivaay's wife. And here you say Annika is your bahu. What kind of illegal unnamed marriage is this? I do not want any whiff of it touching my son's wedding.

We'll let Shivaay decide.

And when Shivaay tells her to go inside. Daksh tastes first blood. He enjoys watching the pain on her face.

Shivaay turns to leave as well. Before KK can insist , Pinky asks her to move on with the rest of the rasms. I dunno if her use of the word Kameeni was intentional here for the deeds done, but she did get the woman off Shivaay's back.

Shivaay watches Annika's frozen face, "I know you are upset..."

"Are you ashamed to be associated with me?"

No anger, sadness, just relentless facts and logic.

"No, Annika. It's not like that."

"It is like that. You always said, for you Naam, Khoon, Khandaan is everything for you. Then how can you stand with me? How can you give this relationship a name? This wedding was a forced one, it never brought you happiness, neither did you need it, only one thing You were under majboori."

[We're getting the proper conversation with context now, not the one by the poolside when they were pretending. Shivaay is not able to make this go away.]

"What's stopping you now? Break this marriage. This relationship you can't even refer to with words, you can end it. Why don't you?"

Shivaay offers some paltry excuse, and she rubbishes it. "The more you try to make sense of this relationship, the more complicated it becomes. This morning you said you'll always be with me. But when it came to the test, you weren't there. You said you are the wall that stands for the family, but you didn't for me. "

"I forgot. I was never part of your family. "

Ouuwww..

"It's not like that Annika..." (i tell you the background O Jaana makes me feel like crying thousands of tears, but its just stuck in my chest...)

"You keep saying I'm important to you. Why am I important to you? Why am I your Zimmedari? Why am I still in this house??? I've asked you before, this very thing, and you had no answer. And still today , you don't have one."

I felt a tiny bit bad for Shivaay here. Annika is killing him with this stormy calm. He stammers and gulps , i felt a little sorry for him. (little, only. This could have been the time to break out the secret and get her on your side, but no, he kept quiet)

"I'll tell you. Kamini's words hurt a lot, but there was truth in it. Ours is a najayaz relationship, neither are we a real marriage. There's no guarantee between us, things will break at any time..."

He makes her stop her diatribe. "We were fine just a while ago. Mrs Randhawa said some things and you've gone off on a tangent now.."

"This is not about her, Shivaay. This is because of YOU. You made me ashamed of myself today. I trusted our relationship, had pride in it, it was my strength. But now, it is reduced to nothing by questions...and now this relationship is my weakness..."

Shivaay moves to soothe her, but his words are nowhere near what he needs to say. "This relationship is very important to the both of us. I agree it has no name, but it is the biggest truth of our lives..."

A positive and a negation in one sentence Shivaay, really??

"Truth? Then why did it appear like a lie in front of everyone? "

"This won't happen again, Annika. They are trying to make trouble. All this I had to do as Prinku's brother, not as a husband. I know you're very upset. I promise this won't happen again."

"Won't happen again? " Pushing his hands off from her, she knows this will happen again, and again.

"I PROMISE you. This is Daksh's work. I'll handle it. "

"Today. it's this Daksh. Many more Dakshs will come later. And I'm always the one losing..."

Shivaay comes back with a vow. "I will never let you lose... Never.." and he leaves.

[Sorry for the narration, but it is just too momentous not to document. How we have waited for this conversation. Now we lie down and nurse our painful heart.]

Next day...

Annika walks to the hall with a basket of flowers. Her dupatta catches onto a string of decorative beads. Shivaay watches her struggle to free herself, and goes to help her free.

First a little blink to ask if she was alright. She looks away, refusing eye contact.

He walks up to her and takes control of freeing her from the snag, with tiny nod of reassurance.

I will fix things Annika. I will sort this out. Trust me.

She looks away and leaves.

[super beautiful scene... ]

Jhanvi comes to ask Annika to join the ceremony, she feigns work and avoids.

Shakti comes too and tells her to leave it to the workers, and she evades again.

Shivaay is watching the whole thing. He know she is refusing to join the ceremony and he knows why.

"I forgot, I am not part of this family..."😭

Shivaay realizes she won't listen to him right now, she won't even look him in the eye longer than few seconds. He sends Rudra to make her come join. Rudra removes her work and pulls her to join.

"Where Rudra? I don't want to be anymore trouble.."

"Here, where you need to be, next to Bhaiya. There won't be anymore trouble..."

That look on Shivaay's face. Pleading? Earnest need? That "please don't be mad at me anymore Annika. Please." face...

Such a beautiful narration

Today's confrontation was heartbreaking 💔
But at the same time the truth

Confrontation was needed
He asked Anika to face her fears but what is he doing?
Same running away from it

What he is not realizing that he needs to share his feelings, his problems
If he had done that so many misunderstandings in the past could have been avoided

Felt a little bad for Shivaay ( just a teeny weeny)
But he needs to gear it up man
Otherwise many daksh will come between them

He says he will take a stand for her, protect her
But when the time comes...
We all know what happens

Feeling very down today

All I can say is that I love the way it is progressing.
I know she hurts right now but seeing the truth for what it is as a mild insult only with the Family present is better than being insulted in a crowd full of people.
I know we all hate Daksh but at least his target is not insulting Annika or making a joke out of her in public. He is specifically targeting Shivvay and I am glad for that.

Amazing post Anisa !! *hugs* I know it must have not been easy to write down your thoughts on such an emotional episode.

We were right to panic yesterday, but I am not sure whether to be happy that Anika's trust in Shivaay and their relationship has wavered now rather later or be sad that what were afraid of happened 😕

We can literally see the exact moment she realized that all the faith and trust she had put on her relationship is notwithstanding the minute she turns around to go inside, when asked by Shivaay. She didn't look at Daksh, but she could feel him mocking everything she said with full confidence yesterday. I wanted to slap the smug look off his face, I swear.

In their room, when she is questioning Shivaay, her tone is so normal and so matter of fact, but if filled with so much pain and angst, that every word and question she asked of Shivaay must have cut him deep inside. I bet he would have preferred her to rage at him, but she didn't, and try as he might he couldn't calm the raging storm inside her. Today she made it perfect clear to Shivaay that as much as she fears loosing him, she is not going to let go of her self respect in order to stay with him. Like you said yesterday, after he forced her into marriage, then accused her of being characterless, then her almost dying at Daksh's hands, she was broken and all this while she has been slowly healing, but just because she give herself this time to heal and let someone give her strength, doesn't mean she has lost hers. She is still the same fighter, and if required she herself will walk out of this his life and his home, even if it kills her from inside.

Shivaay on the other hand, cannot simply do without her. Just her saying out aloud that they end this marriage and relationship was enough to give him a jolt and leave him stumped. He cannot even hear the idea, let alone follow it. He tried his best to calm her, to make her realize how much she and their relationship means to him, but even he knew how hollow and empty his words sound at that moments after what happened few moments ago. He vows it won't happen again, he vows he will not let her loose, but am not sure he will be able to keep this promise.

His way of making sure that Anika isn't insulted again is to keep Daksh away from OM? Shivaay, darling the man is a psycho, and has kept him in the dark about his real self their whole lives, do you really think your security personnel can outsmart him and keep him away? And even with Daksh not there, does he honestly think Kamini won't insult Anika in the next ritual? He needs to come up a long term plan and needs to stay two steps head of Daksh. His strategy right now is to keep Daksh away from the functions till the wedding, which is not possible. He needs to figure out a way to be both a brother to Prinku and a husband to Anika. Difficult task, but not impossible. Things would be must easier if he would share his troubles with OmRu and Anika, but no he has to be the great wall of Shivaay. He needs to realize that Anika doesn't need him to be her great wall, she needs to stand beside him and show the world that they together are each others greatest support.

The bit where he untangles the beads string from her dupatta and then later instructs to cajole Anika into joining him and the family, was very endearing. His earnest smile and puppy dog looks were pleading her to not be mad at him. Her not talking to him is another thing that he cannot bear. Remember the scene where he gave Anika the bat and asked her to break all the windows of their room as well as the whole house of she wants, but never to stop talking to him.

There were few other bits I liked from the episode. For one I was so happy to see Jhanvi take Anika's side and insist that she is part of their family, OmRu supporting their Bhabi is always sweet to watch, but one of the elders supporting her was really heart warming to see. Good to know they all aren't statues in situations like these. Pinky calling her Kameeni shouldn't be a suprise, because she has been calling her that off late, but I really felt that dig this time was for both Shivaay and Anika's sake. I would love to see this MIL and DIL team up to bajao Kamini's band.

This week the CV's have given us really solid episodes and got so many reactions out of us. I'm really curious, anxious and even a little bit worried as to where the CV's are leading with this track.

After so so so so many days I felt motivated enough to watch the episode!

And man - what an episode it was!

My sherni is back (I dunno for how long but that comes later 😆). You know what I loved most about that monologue? She wasn't crying, she wasn't shuddering - she was mocking him. Throwing everything he's ever said about their rishta right back at his face and literally challenging him to deny if she was right! I could literally feel the tightness in her chest as the sadness inside her escalated till she could no longer hold back her tears and her eyes started to go wet 💔. She wants - deserves - answers and she's no longer able to wait anymore. She's taken enough for him, his family - willingly and unwillingly. She needs to be repaid. I feel like she might not have minded Mrs. R's thing THAT MUCH had Shivaay stood up for her. When Shivaay told her to leave, she got a reality check. She was reminded of the fact that divorce papers have been signed (btw will she forget about that once Shivaay announces? I wonder...) and that legally - their marriage doesn't stand. "Main iss ghar main kyon hun"?

Surbhi and Nakuul were stellar in this scene! Surbhi in her understated hurt and disappointment, Nakuul in his desperate worry.

I wonder though, why does Annika give the power to break their relationship only to him? Doesn't she have the power too?

The timing of this has been impeccably laid out, too. Now, when Daksh calls her mistress, it'll hit Shivaay even harder. He deserved to hear all this... He deserves the pain he was handed out today and he knows it. So when Daksh says that michmichi-inducing thing to anika, her words will ring out loud in his ears "Kitno ke mun bannd kerwain ge?" And I think it's going to happen in this ceremony, only. Because they're still shooting in the ame clothes for 2, 3 days and it's been long enough since the promo aired.

He has made too many vows now.

I won't leave you , ever.

I'm here for you.

I'll break his face if he so much as looked at you.

I'll stand in between you and Daksh.

Now he says, He won't let her lose.

Lose what? Lose her dignity? Lose her self regard?

The only problem that I have - I wish NM had more pain in his eyes so he could match up to SC's brilliance. Like the words were really pinching his heart.

You know Risha, Shivaay still thinks he is right because he has a purpose (for Prinku), he even told her she's going off on a tangent after some insults.

Next day (they're wearing old outfits 🤣 I wonder if SP was like... bas ker do shaadian! 😆

He was too sweet, yaar. He had the most billu look in his eyes when he was unhooking her dupatta from that mala while looking at her, only. I love this old-age ankhon ankhon main romance. His eyes weren't leaving her face and her forlorn demeanor was really getting to him. Shivaay giving her those puppy-eyed looks and whispering to Rudra (who was a jaan today) to bring her to him, to her rightful place - next to him. And then when he smiled with low-key triumph. Haye ❤️ Billu I dunno what to feel about you, re! Kabhi khatta kabhee meetha.

Shivaay was so today..

You know he still hasn't actually cried properly on screen? he shed a tear over Omru, but not since.

Side note: I'm loving this Ooh la la Ooh la la 😆😆 Pinky refuses to call her Kaa-mini 🤣 Please keep it coming! Also Rudy keeps calling her Kamini aunty. With so much stress on aunty.

So true yaar, Asya. He's enough of a villain in this story. And once he announces - I feel it - something's gonna happen. Anika's past may be? A direct link to the Oberois? Shivaay finds out? Blames her for something? I dunno... and it's killing me!
