Great story so far!

and I do not think that she should forgive him for all this. Yes, he does like her now, but he still does not respect her fully or acknowledge her as his equal. I am not going to call what he has for her as love because there is just no respect from his side, and love encompasses respect.

Damn...now I am really feeling bad for Annika...she is settling...and is settling really that bad? I can empathize with her choices...for so rarely she has any choices in her life! There is some sense of comfort knowing you are safe, cared for, thought of, and to see her brother so loved and acclimated into this life...for once not burdened by financial woes, or Annika's gloom and loneliness. Brilliant update...I am no longer sure I want her to leave as I said in my last comment! I am still angry with Shivvay...he can change things here but he hasn't...and maybe if you provide the same kind of insight into his thoughts and feeling, I may not be angry with him either. I love that you have given such plausible reasons for why Annika has made the choice to stay back so far!! Really looking forward to the continuation of this...plz do updated soon!
