THE DECISION
Omkara couldn't believe his eyes. There stood Swetlana 2.0 aka Gauri Kumari Sharma- in his arms.
"You are a girrrlll". They heard a surprised voice and in came Rudy. His eyes were pools of surprise, wonder, shock and admiration.
"O what exactly is happening here? Why is HE, I mean SHE in your arms? And 'O' you are naked. What happened to your shirt"
Both Om and Gauri moved away from each other.
Om had too many questions and theories in his mind. He wanted to squeeze the truth out of Gauri. He wanted to know what was Gauris plan and whether Svetlana was also privy to the plot. He wanted to voice a thousand questions but Rudy ruined everything. Now he has to sort out all the problems and he was sure Gauri will definitely try to take advantage of him in front of his family. He wanted to hush the whole affair before whole family comes to know about Gauri's truth. But now Rudy poses as a problem.
Gauri didn't know what to do. She never anticipated something like this.
" I am not naked and it is not what you think" Om exuded anything but fury.
" Oh really!! To me you look naked . Your shirt is half off. You had a girl in your arms. And from what I saw you were also surprised to see that the one in your arms was a girl. What were you doing with HIM before I intruded on you" Rudy was being typical Rudy.
Rudy turned to Gauri. Gauri didn't know whether she should look at him or run away. But she has never backed down. She looked at his face ready to take the insults from the 3rd Oberoi brother.
" You are sooo beautiful . " Rudra spoke
Gauri's eyes widened in surprise. He was not hurling insults. He was taking this positively. The contrast between the brothers..
" And you are hottt too. Swetlana should have send you to my room" Rudy said
" What the-". Growled Omkara
" I was just kidding 'O' She is all yours"
" I don't want any part of her" shouted Om
" But that definitely was not my impression when I came into this room. You seemed to want many parts of her" howled Rudy with mirth.
Gauri's face flamed . Omkaras ears turned red. He was about to reply when he was interrupted
" What a ruckus you are creating Rudy" entered Shivaay with Annika and Daadi.
The three looked at Gauri surprised. " Who is this girl Om and why is your shirt open" asked Daadi
Both Gauri and Om went red.
" Woh Daadi..." Om stuttered
" Can't you all put two and two together. She is Om's-" Rudra said
But was rudely interrupted by Om " Shut up Rudy. I will explain"
"She's Svetlana's servant Gaurav . She was in disguise so she could swindle money from us. I found her out and that is when Rudy came in. The rest of the story we have to ask Svetlana". Om wanted to solve this asap . He feared that any minute Gauri will blurt about the symbolic marriage and thus take advantage of him and his family. Besides Daadi always fell for such stories.
Surprisingly Gauri didn't utter a word. Om was confused if she had an ulterior motive and so was remaining silent.
" I have never seen this Gaurav" said Shivaay" What is your name girl? Why were you in disguise"
" I am Gauri. Svetlana madam doesn't know I was in disguise. I had to do it because she would give job only to a man. I was in dire need of a job and I had to do it. I never meant to cheat anyone" said Gauri
Om was again surprised. She was not trying to involve him or implicate him. What is her plan?.He wondered.
Annika was looking at Gauri. She always liked Gaurav and had always been nice to him.and he in turn was extra sweet to her. She felt a new liking for this girl-woman.She was one hell of a beauty. And like Rudy said she could make out two and two together. There definitely was some undercurrents between Om and Gauri. She had to look deep into it. There is something definitely going on between these two. Along with that the compromising position they were found in will make matters complicated.If Gauri is anything that Gaurav was then she will suit Om. All these thoughts were running through Annikas head when Daadi voiced-
" But these two were with each other in a room for one week and That makes it a compromising situation and something should be done about that"
Daadi and Annika were thinking the same thing. Daadi had seen how her grandson had suffered and in Gauri she saw the healing to all his ailments and heartbreak. She could sense it that Gauri is the one who could heal Om. And like Annika she too sensed the invisible sparks between them. She wanted Om to be happy and felt that it lies in Gauri. All she had to do is to mould the situation to her advantage. She was sure Annika and Rudy will support her. Shivaay will understand someday. She had to get rid of Svetlana from her son's and grandson's life forever. That can be done only if she handles this situation well.
" That's not a problem. If what she says is true we will give her a job " said Shivaay
Annika wanted to give a whack to his head. So did Daadi. Shivaay the practical one. He would ruin her plans. She had to act fast.
Dadi said" My dear children, this is a difficult situation. Come what may you say we shouldn't do injustice. This child was living with a man for one week in his room. Every person in this household including our servants knowthat. Even if we place her a job the stain will remain. I have faith in Om that he has not put a finger on her . But she will have to always live with the baggage of dirt . Society will never leave her. So in our best interest and hers I Believe she should immediately get married to Om."
There was a collective cry of outrage from Omkara and Shivaay. "No..."
But Annika and Rudy were smiling
Gauri was shocked beyond words. She couldn't take one more today. Daadi wanted her to marry Om. But they were already married. But she shouldn't say that. She didn't want to make him hate her more. Already the damage was done.What was Daadi upto.
Omkara couldn't believe his ears. What the hell was Daadi proposing. That he should marry this conniving child-woman.she was Svetlana 2.0. His anger knew no bounds. He was about to say something when Jhanvi and Pinky entered .
Jhanvi said" Om you should do what Daadi said. And it is complete justice to this child here. U should not fall in Svetlana's trap. You say you are doing it for me. But I don't want u to. I can fight my own battles and win my war. Leave Svetlana to me. But you and Gauri should get married"
Pinky too nodded .
" Mom first listen to me" Om felt panicked
Here everyone were fighting his battle
"I can never marry a woman like her. She is vile and disgusting"
Gauri felt that she was slapped on her face
She was Gauri Kumari Sharma. The Gaurikumari Sharma. And her husband was insulting her and people were making decisions for her. She wouldn't abide by any one's rules. Mostly she wouldn't force herself upon anyone.
She spoke up" Daadi and Maa. I need to leave this place. Omkara has never laid a finger on me. I don't want the society to know the truth. They are no one to judge me.I am answerable only to myself and God only. I thank you all sincerely for understanding me and for your kindness. But I have to leave. Please forgive me"
Omkara was relieved and surprised. She was leaving. He expected complications. But here she was leaving... Shouldn't he be happy? But...
Daadi knew everything was going out of her hands. Daadi got hold of Gauri's hands and went to the hall.
Jhanvi asked Omkara to come with her.
Daadi told Gauri" My dear child, I know u are an honourable woman . This is the one and only request of a dying woman. My Om needs you to escape from Svetlana. I will fill in the story of his past later. But if you don't help my Om will be destroyed by that pest. P!Ease don't go and please marry him."
Gauri was taken aback..
" But.."
Daadi said" It all depends on your word Gauri . The future of Omkara and his family depends on you. Only you can remove that pest from my children's life. Please let your answer be in the affirmative"
Gauri was confused. Daadi says Omkaras life depended on this marriage . The other hand, Omkara hates her and doesn't want her in his life. But she had promised herself that she would take care of her patidev always. So if agreeing to Daadi is the only way then she had to do it.She was ready to face the hatred of Omkara..
"Yes . I will marry him" she said
Annika, Daadi and Rudy gave a hoot of relief. They smiled and it made Gauri smile
Omkara came downstairs with Jhanvi. He didn't know why those three were jumping with joy. And Gauri looked relaxed.
" What is happening here," came Svetlana's voice
And everyone froze
" Who is this woman" she asked looking at Gauri
Om believed at that moment that Svetlana didn't know about her disguise.
This is Gaurav your servant aka Gauri - O's new wife- a happy Rudy blurted
There was pin drop silence and then all hell erupted.
Svetlana was pinning Gauri to the sofa and her hands were on her neck. She was feeling suffocated and that is when Om pushed Svetlana away and slapped her" How dare u touch her..."
Gauri was coughing. Everyone present were shell shocked including Tej and Shakti who witnessed the whole drama. This was a new Om they were witnessing. A fierce man to the defence , a possessive man
Om said " Yes I am going to marry her. You do what you can.."
It was Gauri's and Svetlana's turn to be surprised. Gauri looked at him. He was glorious in all his anger. Was it to spite Svetlana that he said he will marry her? She had to learn a lot of back story . Every one were rejoicing and Annika was distributing sweets .
Omkara came near Gauri and said." Don't expect a rosy life. my game has started now only. I know what you are . And you will pay for setting foot in my house"
Gauri stood with an indifference . She was expecting this.
Svetlana was not to back down. She shouted again " I will never allow this marriage to happen"
" The marriage has already happened. Back in Bareilly they both got married. And they are going to pay for that dearly" shouted a voice which shocked everyone
And there entered Veer Thakur the only remaining brother of Kaali Thakur...
Precap: Om was not getting any sleep. The bundle inside the blankets near him was snoring softly. He couldn't endure it anymore . He pulled away the blankets but still she didn't get up. He was treated with a vision of her silky smooth abdomen and navel. Her teeshirt was riding high up. Om was on fire...
PS: Dear friends today was a free day. So I could update frequently. There is less romance in this chapter. But I promise I will make it upto you in the next one.I would be happy if u all pressed the like button and dropped in your comments. It definitely is fodder for writing.enjoy reading
