If you see in the context of DBO, it was meant for Shivaay to tell Om about marriages which do not have any future- parallel b/w Shivika and Rikara. But it's also true that the audience which watches DBO, barring some new viewers, is mostly comprised of those who watch IB.

I still feel it holds because it delineates the central conflict of their story, which still holds good for them even after the farak games and whatnot.

But yes, maybe it was meant to entice the viewers of DBO to also watch IB, that is quite plausible:) But the scene had the feel of an exposition- the tenderness and the longing with which he talks of a future not to be, certainly the IB AND DBO viewers are meant to draw parallels:) And this talk of marriages without a future would actually apply to all the three bros, so it was certainly pertinent.

Well NKAK was never dead, and it may just raise its ugly head after Tia departure. After all, Tia is a pitch perfect girl filling his obsession with NKAK. So, we may see some sparks flying again bw Shivika. And it may be one of the reasons why he is reluctant to give her deserving position in his life.

Because for me, it holds no significance in IB. It was just too random a scene and it simply negates what's going on in ShivIka land. I mean why is SSO asking her to stay if he sees on future? So I'm going to erase it from IB memory 😆.

Also, yes the viewers must mostly be the same (explains the excellent DBO TRP) but still, they had to give Shivaay an intro scene, despite that.

That is possibly it, but yea timeline wise it makes no sense in IB, and quite clearly with Om heading back to OM, scenes will start overlapping now. I don't watch DBO, but after the ShiTia wedding fiasco, things may start to link between the two shows. Ultimately might just be one hour IB, but second half hour with focus on Om and Gauri.

Gul needs to pull up her socks and maintain continuity. But for once I will let this pass because the scene was well-written and significant...not to mention, poignant.

hahahaha I had noticed that too, the writers are confused themselves, and the audience is getting wrapped up in this. It's funny they are getting better trps, as I have seen around the forum, but the quality is slacking majorly. It's like they are getting by even if the bare minimum.😆😆

My expectations are low, and I don't like getting frustrated by the show. I watch purely for entertainment and because I watch online, I do forward scenes I don't like, minus Shivika, my main interest is them.😃
