OK this is my version of how that scene played out. I have always found Anika to be extremely sexy so in my mind it is impossible for Shivaay to keep his hands off her. This is a long one and the first time I am trying something of this genre. As always please do give your feedback - brickbats and roses both are welcome. 😊

Shivaay walked into his room looking for Anika only to find her standing in front of the mirror lost in another world. He noticed she was trying to disentangle her hair from the mangalsutra around her neck. Without a second thought, he went to help her out. She got startled when he put his hands around her neck but silently stared at him as he gently extricated her hair from the chain which had got twisted in the process. He then moved her hair on one side and removed the chain to put it back straight again. All this while Anika was looking at him with eyes haunted with pain. He knew she was thinking about their wedding and wanted to bring her out from those troubled recollections.

He smirked and murmured " I know I am very handsome but that doesn't mean you keep staring at me. " And that brought her to the present with a thud. Shivaay mentally hi-fived himself at yanking her back and also how flustered he had made her. Anika blinked rapidly a few times and stammered " Staring? Who me? I don't stare at people - least of all you. Who do you think you are anyways - Hrithik Roshan? ". Shivaay, while filing away the fact that she found Hrithik Roshan attractive in his head, insisted - "You were checking me out". Anika replied with a smirk of her own - "do I look like a teacher to you that would check stuff?"

After which, her extremely thoughtful husband affectionately explained that was not what checking out meant. And then proceeded to give her a live demonstration of what it actually entailed.

He stood in front of her and perused her from bottom to top with his eyes now having the freedom to gaze at her as they had always wanted to. Stopping at strategic places - visually caressing her long legs encased in skinny jeans, the flare of her hips, the dip of her waist, the soft curve of her breasts, the delicate arch of her neck and finally her beautiful face which was flaming by this point. She really did have a great body - one that he wanted to explore at leisure some day - to touch, taste , savour and enjoy. But today was not that day. Today, he decided, he had to make his blushing girl acknowledge HER attraction towards him.

He had to bite down on his laughter watching the expressions on her face. She was so scandalised that she couldn't even look straight. And then looked even more horrified as he walked right into her while stating "Now that's what checking out means". She lifted her hand in defence to stave him off and took a step back & Shivaay stopped. Not because she had wanted him to, but because he knew what would come next was going to be very entertaining. His blue- green eyes sparkled mischievously while her honeyed ones rounded in alarm. She then assured him, in a very breathless voice, that she was a very decent girl and could not look at him with those "Tucchi lucchi 2 Rs waali nazrein" .

Shivaay, while adding the words to his mind's Anika dictionary, asserted again that she had noticed him in the past. He reminded her of the evening when she had giggled in his arms and admitted that she found his eyes beautiful. That they reminded her of rainbows and she often observed the changing colors in them. Wasn't it her who had said" Kabhi kabhi to main ghanto sochti hun ki color kya hai?"

Anika cursed under her breath for the memory this man had. How could he still remember that after so many days? And why was he hell-bent on reminding her? Hadn't they decided never to talk about that ever. OK - so be it . If he wanted to remember she wouldn't hold back either. "Nahiii to .. maine aisa kab bola? Aur us raat aapne bhi mujhe cute kaha tha - ek nahi do baar. Aur haan - Thank You bhi kaha tha" she smirked.

Shivaay noticed her defences relaxing so he moved stealthily closer and held her hand - playing with the bracelet absently as he answered. "Cute to tum ho aur thank you to mujhe pehle hi bol dena chahiye tha " he smiled taking the wind out of her sails. "That was a fun night - especially how it ended."

And just like that the bagad billa was back in the game. Anika had flashbacks of how she had snuggled up to him like he was her personal teddy bear. And when she had opened her eyes he had been on top of her asking her not to make any noise. Not that she'd had any voice left then, or now. What was this man doing to her hand? For the past few minutes he had been rhythmically stroking the inside of her wrist, then her palm , the her fingers upto the tips and back again. Her pulse was literally jumping out of her skin and if hands could blush hers would have been crimson by now. As it is her cheeks were on fire and the beastly man KNEW that. She could tell by the cat-got-the-cream expression on his face that he was very aware of the effect he was having on her and enjoying it too. NO.. She wasn't going down. She straightened her back, squared her shoulders and tugged her hand back.

Shivaay grinned - so his mouse wasn't going to give in. He hadn't expected any less from her. An easy win was boring and Anika was anything but boring. At her tug, rather than releasing her hand - he pulled her in, towards himself. Now they were standing toe to toe, almost touching. He could hear her breath hitch and in all honestly he was breathing a little heavier as well. However the master at deception smiled smoothly and linked his hands loosely behind her back. "To tum mujhe observe nahi karti ? Hmmm... Then what was that the other day about you ordering me to wear a wine colored suit to the award function since the color looked good on me. How did you come to know that the color looked good on me? Iska matlab tumne mujhe notice kiya hai ".

Anika was perplexed. What was UP with this kanji eyed SSO today ? It was getting difficult to breathe let alone talk and he was asking questions to which she had no answers to. In her entire life, Anika had never been flirted with. She knew the look guys gave her when they were doing Taadaasan. When she was handling the college canteen one dirty look and a sarcastic retort was enough to send them packing. In the city her sharp tongue and Chameli were sufficient to do the job. She had never really had anyone flirt with her because she scared them away before they could even open their mouth. So now she did not know what to do with this - this newly born road side romeo oberoi. How was she going to get out of this?

Whilst Anika was contemplating how to get a hold of the situation, Shivaay was reading her face like an open book and chortling away silently. Got her there . But Anika wasn't ready to give up " Wo main.. wo main jab aapke sagaai ke kapdon ke orders de rahi thi to Pinky aunty ne kaha tha" she said in a rush. "Achhaaa.. so mom told you ..hmm.." he trailed off as if ruminating the statement very seriously, simultaneously backing her near the edge of the bed. As they reached the edge, he deliberately stumbled causing them to fall on it. However before she could get crushed by his weight he dug in his elbows on either side of her arms to support his weight. She put both her hands on his chest as she whooshed out his name on a soft groan.

And that was the moment everything changed. Till this moment Shivaay had been playing, but the second he heard her moaning out his name like that, he was transfixed. His body tensed and the hair at the nape of his neck stood up as if electrified. Their lower bodies were flushed together and the fact that she was struggling wasn't helping matters at all. He let out a silent prayer and battled to hold onto his famed iron-clad control.

Shivaay was not a prude. He had experienced his share of affairs with the opposite sex. When you are the scion of the Oberoi empire and good looking to boot - woman practically throw themselves at you and he had taken his pick. With his girlfriends, though he was never the one to initiate intimacy, he had not shied away from it either, if the other person took the first step. However never before today had he felt a pull this fierce that it physically hurt not to give in. Never before today had desire roared in his blood so viciously and never before today had he been aware of this primal need to brand and mark someone as his own. His heart wanted, nay demanded, that he forget the world and feast on what was in front of him, to take them to a place so far away where they couldn't even remember their own names. To add spark to tinder, TODAY he could feel her body trembling beneath his, her pulse hammering. He could see her eyes blurring , her lips shivering and her face flushing with desire. He could see HER struggle and he let go of his. He slowly lowered himself to rest fully on her, capturing her hands in his to pull them over their heads.

She was going to die. There were no two ways about it. She would be the first person in the world who would die of hyperventilation thought Anika. She had seen Shivaay's eyes change colours - going from a playful cyan to a deep cobalt blue. And she definitely knew THAT look. She was panicking- it was like her body and mind were pulling in two opposite directions. Her skin felt clammy, her heart was racing like a bullet train. The urge to arch into him and tug him closer was getting stronger by the second. But her brain was sending loud and clear danger signals. She had to get out of here, away from him. She had to run. So she did the only thing she could think of before her brain turned to mush. She kneed him - where it hurt. And she connected. Shivaay let out a loud yelp and immediately turned over. Anika got up quickly and RAN out of the room as if the hounds of hell were following her. She sought shelter in daadi's room knowing instinctively he wouldn't be able to follow her there.

Once the initial pain passed and Shivaay's brain cells started working again, he started laughing remembering Anika's face before she ran. He couldn't believe what had just happened and what she had done. Trust Anika to be as unpredictable as the wind. As his laughter died - he wondered when had the tables turned. At what point had the hunter become the hunted? And did she REALLY think she would get away with this? He got up with an adrenalin rush to go after her, but after a moment's reflection, held back. Knowing her, he realised that she would have found refuge and reinforcements by now. And wasn't revenge a dish best served cold he contemplated with a devilish grin. This was turning out to be extremely enjoyable . Game on Anika !
