That Shivkara hug...I think I was watching the show only on and off back then so I don't even recall it clearly...might have to go back and watch it again...do you know what epi that was?...waise I just found Om's random suicide attempt back then quite lame😆...they never managed to show his struggle with his demons properly...sab lulzy as always😆

can't blame me I was surviving on the saas bahu serials before that 😆 so hate shadi ne attract toh karna tha na 😆

Oh god yeah, the MOTIYA BINDU giving lighting as Khush calls it...seriously blinding stuff😕😆...they literally have these spotlight type lamps all over the set, especially in Shivaay's room...there's so many along the headboard of the bed, on every accent or side table in the room and then the entire pool is lined with those crazy lights too🤣...they are always in the background ready to blind us in trying to watch the scene...lol

Waise bade dino se they haven't used that FLASHING lights wala symbolism in any of the scenes, haina? 😆

In general, Surbhi's crying scenes always make an impact...she has a particularly vulnerable way of crying that really touches you.

Lol! You're a big Surbhi fan aren't you? 😆😆 No, but it's true. her crying scenes are definitely the best.

Coming to NM's crying, so I watched just one episode of NM's old show Pyar ka Dard (because that's the only show that works on hotstar here😭) and there's some scene of him crying when he realizes the girl he is living with looks like his wife but is not and then he has a sort of breakdown thinking about his wife. His crying was pretty much on point there but even I think there's something not so right about his crying scenes in IB.

I think it has got to do with his character here. This guy is supposedly a "tough guy" who is emotionally challenged and finds it hard to express any extreme emotion. I guess that's why all of NM's laughing and crying scenes he does with some sort of control which sometimes makes it look like "na idhar ka na udhar ka." As opposed to that, Anika's or even Om's character for that matter is not bound by those personality restrictions. They both cry more "khul ke" and that comes across as more natural.

Uff! so much thought I've given to this! 😆

Yes Yes.. I was rewatching that "Ghar Jao" scene yesterday and us mein bhi trees pe lagi lights apne aap flash karne lagi 🤣
I'm glad in Shivaay Anika ke aaj kal ke flirting wale wale scenes mein, they are not using those lights..😆 But I feel wind has replaced the lights 😆 Bahut Hawa chalne lagti hai aaj kal ke scenes mein 😳

I am a big Surbhi fan, no doubt yes😆 ...cuz she's a natural I think.

Re: Shivaay and NM's portray of the emotional side of him...I think you do make a valid point there...there are a lot of restrictions to Shivaay's character compared to the others which are more free-flowing with the way they express themselves, their feelings...so it's definitely a much tougher job for the actor to bring about emotions with all those restrictions...and I don't doubt NM's sincere attempts to get that across 😆...but it's still a hit or miss sometimes...I haven't seen his emotional acting in his previous show so I don't really have much to compare against...I only saw a few of the early epis when he was in chocolate boy mode😆

With Shivaay, there's a lot of pressure to "stylize" everything he does, keep him stilted as well given his basic emotional handicaps...so it's very tough to navigate all of that and express emotions with more conviction I suppose.

I do get all of that...and that's why I find it interesting that his emotions flow more easily and believably in scenes with Anika...no doubt he is very emotional about his brothers...but it is in the scenes with Anika, that he gets to express a different kind of raw anguish that works better...in particular I would note his acting in the sangeet epi when Anika says yes to get engaged to Daksh and then later on the bit when he rescues her from Daksh.

I posted two two pics of your kanji aakhon wala Billu on the previous page and no reaction to that? 😆

Haan all this kissie-wissie deffo comes veryyy naturally to them offsceen and onscreen too I guess😆...I love Anika's fond smiles watching all of them from the side...even from a distance, you can feel her being a part of that unit.
