This is one of the best posts I have read on the forum. The whole truth came before shivika and their eyes said it all. Tej's words were so true that it broke my heart into million pieces for Shivika. Theirs is a journey which is so difficult coz Shivaay has to realise her importance in his life over the name blood lineage that he so requires. He will lose her to realise her worth and that's going to be so painful for him as well as her. He gave her the family and the haq which she craved for. She gave him the support which he required for being the great wall all the time. When all of this will no longer remain that's when everything will fall back into place.
While all this is what we want to see. I am afraid that the CVs may not be able to pull it off

your post is bang on
from the written updates when tej reminded shivay that he had to lower his standards to marry anika--- shivay did not resist or demand respect for his wife
it seems anika is the forced helpless option he had to make to save his family name
in normal circumstances anika is nor good enough for him--- shivay not saying anything means he agrees
i feel shivay is ok with anika being his wife when it suits him but not ready to accept this in his mind or in society
shivays is caring n recently flirty with anika--- for him its just moments which are triggered by humanity or hormones but for anika these are real moments which are starting to give her hope---- like she very confidently threw tia out of her room
anika forgave shivay very easily after the daksh case--- writers maybe did that to progress the story etc but this means we might get the much needed seperation track we want-- anika leaving shivay--- maybe after this tia case
the 6 month divorce period has been mentioned a few times so im guessing it will be of some importance later on when anika realises that shivay can't accept her fully--- then she needs to walk away as miss anika
when the tia case is closed----- the oberoi shivika supporter may tell shivay that all is well so continue as normal---- but the shivay not accepting anika background may come into place-- according to gul on instagram
when anikas whole being is deemed as not good enough for sso--- he can not see beyond NKK-- that is when anika should realise he is not worth fighting for

So, I haven't seen today's episode but can I just say that what you have written is a thousand times more beautiful than any episode would be? How is it that you manage to turn a character analysis into a story I don't want to stop reading? I am serious, kuch tips de do yaar!

Coming to your post, I completely agree, especially with the now in your title. You see, I was quite disgusted with the way things have been going in the show for the past month or so. I was really let down by Annika who I thought was one of Gul's strongest lead heroines. In fact, all of the female protagonists of this show had so much scope, no? Be it Ishaana or Saumya or Annika. But because it is Gul and because we don't deserve good Indian soaps, she went ahead and butchered every one of her female leads.

I was horrified that Annika wanted to stay, that it was so easy for her to forgive Shivaay. That Sahil didn't create a ruckus, didn't burn the whole Oberoi Mansion for his Di. That Om, Om, justified Shivaay's actions. See, there are two types of people. One who believe in the saying 'The ends justify the means.' And others who are in vehement opposition to it. I belong to the latter. Om's character did as well. It doesn't matter if the victim himself/herself came to Om and told him that he/she was okay being victimized. Om would never stand for it. But he did. And another character bit the dust.

Bu then I realized, that Shivaay rejecting Annika after this, after every misunderstanding is cleared, after he comes to know that Annika did not sell herself, that would kill her. No matter how pathetic or flimsy of an excuse he had, atleast then he had an excuse. I thought you were a giri hui larki. I thought you sold yourself for money. I thought you are a gold digger. But now, now that he's told Sahil ki tumhari Annika didi sabse achi hai. Now that he sees her clearly, now that he'd told Pinky that he trusts her. Now. Now when he decides to leave, it's gonna hurt like a bitch. Because he wouldn't be leaving because of his misunderstandings against her, he'd be leaving because she just isn't enough.

And what does she, Annika, do when yet another person whom she has come to love tells her that she isn't enough? That though he sees her clearly and likes her and values her but she still isn't worthy of him. What does she do when yet another person makes het feel chotta?

She breaks.

At least, that's the way I see it. You see, Annika has to fall to rise and Shivaay, he will rise and then fall. He has to get everything that he wants otherwise even if he doesn't, Annika will always wonder What if? What if he had gotten a blue blooded aristocrat like himself to marry? Would he have been happier? Would he be prouder? It is necessary for the both of them, this separation.

For Shivaay, because he will realize that rooh matters more than naam, khoon and khaandaaan.
For Annika, because it will prove to her that even after getting all that he wanted, what he valued most, what he sacrifices everything for, is her.

same thoughts keep coming to my mind, sso has still not declared anika as his lawfully wedded wife, in front of anika he declared tia as his wife which is a huge insult all thanks to dadi after all this she made anika and shivaay share the same room, he even tried to pull the MS from her neck, after all this anika stayed in OM and yeah sso gifting her those divorce papers, this all has surpassed all levels of humiliation, you know what??? never watched the kajra re track !! didn't approve, and I still don't approve it, nor I care to make any stuff on that nor I have any courage to look at those stuff.

Whatever he has done to her, all those insults, these difficulties and all the tortures he put her through ever after that she's with him like a shadow.

You know I keep making my own stories in my head that shivaay looking for anika because she has left the city and he's finding her like crazy and realizing her importance in his life and having flash backs of all the pain he has caused her.

Bang on post!!! I love how you have put your emotions about this tracks into words.

I agree even I want a separation track but I feel that will only come when the 6 months is up that's when Shivaay will want to accept and announce Anika as his wife but a huge twist will happened that will keep them apart for sometime and it will be Anika who will walk out since she doesn't know for a fact Shivaay didn't sign the Divorce papers and he will get her back in his own twisted way claiming the "Pati" huq.

Navin,
Your post reminded me of one that you wrote yourself long back, I dont remember the title exactly, something about 'Gul struggling to bring Anika back' or something...Every word that you wrote then and here is painfully true. For someone like me who loved to indulge in the candy pink bubble romance, that illusion was long broken by your previous post. Thats precisely why the Shivika romance in the past 2 epis, however rosy, made me rant on my previous post.

Shivaay once says in an episode that his pride and beliefs define him and without them, he wouldn't be Shivaay Singh Oberoi. That guy is very much in there even now. Beliefs dont change overnight and I doubt any amount of love and care right now from Ani would ever make him shun those ideas which are embedded into his very being.

Because right now, even if Shivaay is in love with her ( the love part is debatable ) and is attracted to her and she is his wife on paper, he hasn't given her her due as a husband, not acknowledged her in pubic and no one outside the walls of OM know about her being his wife. And to make that decision, he needs to literally change and become a new Shivaay. One who is not merely willing to 'accept' her as his wife, but sees her as his pride, his blessing , as someone who he wakes up to and thinks , 'Just how did I get her as my wife?? I am so bloody lucky!! '. I would hate it if she felt that she was inadequate or not good enough to be his wife.

Because Ani deserves nothing less. Ani is practical, someone who believed that 'girls like her could never be loved' and who has had everyone she ever loved taken away from her and never had anyone for herself and now she is basking in the knowledge that he is hers, her 'mera pati' and haq jatana proves it. And today, Tej's blunt remarks brought her back to ground zero when Tej called Shivaay's marriage to her a huge sacrifice from his side, that Shivaay would have had aspirations for a better wife but unfortunately, he was forced to marry Ani, a girl with no class or status! What a painful thing for her to hear!! And her husband saw her hurt but stayed silent!!

So you are right. A separation is needed, I doubt that a true divorce will happen. She will suffer but she is a fighter and will come out stronger than ever before, thanks to her eternal sunshine, Sahil. And meanwhile Shivaay will get what he always wanted. A society wife with class and bloodline. And despise himself for what he lost. I think the first breaks in his NKK beliefs are already there, and with Tia's betrayal and the growing family politics will make him crave Ani.

I do have a small problem here, the same one that was there in that thread. How will Ani ever be enough?? Its already been established that she has a heart of gold and she loves him but what will make her indispensable to Shivaay?? I have always wondered this and it has hurt so I have stopped. I believe you need respect more than love in a relationship. So what will make him give her his heart and his name with pride rather than just love??

That's why a woman needs to be independent, work and take care of herself this is the harsh reality too not only here. A spouse will always insults you if they work & you don't. I badly want Anika to find a good job without Shivaay or any Oberoi help. "Education" is the key to life that is something no one can take away from you.
