Thank you so much for giving us this beautiful update inspite of your internet issues!! I kind of thought that the update was pretty amazing!!
The main reason why I love reading stories on the forum (or in general ) is because of the insight they give into the characters, what they actually think, and how they really feel which we will never get to 'see' on screen!! So I loved the way you gave an insight into everyone's mind, but mostly Ani and Ru.
If you dont know it yet, I am very very partial to Ani. I just love her, inspite of her imperfections. I so got her when she said that she had forgiven but not forgotten part. Doesn't it all happen to us sometimes?? Even after a fight with a loved one is over, sometimes, a random phrase or when similar fight ensues, some of that old hurt resurfaces!! Or maybe is just me! LOL!
And that wedding was heartbreaking on so many levels and yet somehow Ani understood Shivaay and even forgave him for it but didn't forget!! Shivaay broke her trust on so many levels that day, its not even funny and its no wonder that she fears trusting him again!! I feel he has to work on gaining that trust back first , and I doubt Ru is going to tell him to do that!! He has to figure that part out all by himself!!
Also, I am a bit confused about him here, does he still believe in his principles of NKK here too? Or is he now willing to accept Ani inspite of her lack of it??
And loved the Rumya bits. That couple has so much potential, they can be cute and sometimes so intense.
So the girls have decided to go ahead with their plan to teach the guys a lesson while Shivaay is following his Baby brother's advice to woo his wife...I sense potential fireworks!!

I'm glad that writing helps you gain more of an insight into characters. I couldn't agree more - I honestly feel like some of the writers of our forum could give the CVs a run for their money! Sometimes, I'm absolutely left floored by the depth in people's writing, especially Ayesha, Twerps, and Richa's! I wish the writers of the show put half the thought that they do.
And trust me, I'm well aware of your lean towards Annika. i relate to a certain extent, but my relation with character is long and winded. So, I used to watch QH Season 2, because I loved Asad and Zoya, and I was living that same equation (or trying to, at least) through Sanam and Aahil. Anyhow, things got too brutal at one point, and I stopped watching the show. But during that, I saw Surbhi for the first time, playing Haya. While I did think the acting was good, for some reason, Surbhi just didn't leave an impact on me. In fact, I think the brutality of her specific sub-plot put me off the show the most. Fast forward a few years, and she's on Ishqbaaaz. Now, I started watching IB after my sister did (who started for Vrushika), because I love ensemble cast productions.
TBH, the first time I saw Annika as a character, I just thought she was really mismatched to Shivaay. I honestly found Annika too wild, and annoying at times, and original Shivaay annoyed me with NKK crap too. Somehow, ShivIka stuck though, and I kept watching for their chemistry, and Rudra (of course!). However, I think that after the Janmastami episodes, something changed in my eyes. For ShivIka, and Annika. She's only grown on me more after that, to the extent that, tied with Rudra, she is my favourite character. I'm become a diehard Surbhi fan, and I think that just goes to show that some actors are just better suited to certain characters. In fact, I can't think of anyone better to play Annika than Surbhi.
And yes, the basis of ShivIka's relationship is faith, and trust. They need to regain that, and as Shivaay will realise in this story, Annika is much more likely to forgive him when that is regained, rather than with him seducing her. As for the NKK thing, I think I originally intended to make this happy and light as a temporary reprieve from all the weird Nafratbaaaz crap on the show, but I understand that people do want to see more of a redemption. Thus, I am writing that whole bit, but to answer your question, yes he does still believe in NKK. It's a thirty-two year old belief system, so even though DakTia's truth has shaken it up a bit, it still hasn't diminished. Rather, like he is on the show, Shivaay is just ignoring that all in the face of falling in love with Annika, right now - it will come back to haunt them both. I think that no amount of anyone's betrayal will help him get rid of NKK, but rather, he needs to open his eyes to everything Annika stands for, and how he feels about her.
RumYa are love, aren't they? They will get more scenes in this story, in fact, I think there's an update coming up soon that's completely them.
