Loved reading everyone's point of view. I mentioned in Anjum's post that the show that reached a new low for me. GK and her shows have always been regressive but this time GK has gone to a new low with Shivay actually assaulting Anika. It was extremely depressing to read the written updates so I decided to skip it altogether. I haven't seen the epsiodes in a while and just stick to reading updates but even that is fading fast with time. I don't watch any other hindi show and decided to give this one a try but now I think I will be jumping ship very soon if the story continues in this trajectory.

They have butchered all the characters in the name of TRP's and now they are the slot leaders? Really? How do women of any generation watching this, think this is ok? I don't ever want my daughter to watch this and think that is okay for a guy to do this to a girl. Don't we all reprimand our kids when they push someone in school or playground? That is not acceptable behaviour, so why is it acceptable when it's done by a good looking male lead?

A lot of people on this forum defended his actions, claiming he is character and because it wasn't rape why do we even need to talk about it. If young girls and women feel this way then there is no hope for women in the future. If this is what young girls think, it's extremely sad state of affairs. How will we ever get out these prejudices and make our marks in society?

There are so many posts on the forum that want Anika to be with another man. Why does she need a man to make something of herself in society. She was fully capable of taking care of her brother before why not now?

How can the bad be the new good? Seriously is that even appropriate? I am just flabbergasted at the idea that this show is produced by a woman, written by a women and loved by women who think this is acceptable?

When was she shown as someone who valued all that? Never is the answer. Her character has done a 360 turn because they want TRP and this is what gets it? Showing a woman as a victim of a rich man? It is truly a sad state of affairs! The fact is, Shivaay has no right to judge Annika for anything that happened with Daksh! What part of that dont people get? She was not his wife, his fiancee or his girlfriend! He had NO rights on her at all. So to use that ONS MU or whatever BS theory is a joke! MEN don't decide what a woman can do, and her worth. Who is Shivaay to decide that Annika is characterless? Also, how is it his business? Is HE giving character certificates to people? Gul Khan really should grow up and get a grip. She thinks this stuff is Cool? I didn't like her before this because of the way she ruined her last show. But now my dislike has turned into disdain. I have no words for her. Don't even get me started on Annika. Since Romi's track has probably ended, she has decided t be the new devi. I am really confused regarding her character graph. Wasn't she the one who had said that she doesn't believe in love and all that love tries to sell in front of Mallika? Now, suddenly, she is the quintessential bollywood 60's ka heroine with sindoor and mangalsutra, which she conveniently decided to not wear during reception because, f**k continuity. It is very surprising to me that she is staying at OM because of Dadi and leaving Sahil alone to Saumya. Does she not understand that this new change in equation, this new earthquake effects him as well? His psyche must also be shaken. He is a kid. He must be confused. But hey, dadi bola bahu, toh bahu. No matter if she gets insulted on a regular basis. Some role model!
