Today Anika along with us is seeing the ruthless side of the Oberoi family for the first time. I do not how cruel now will SSO will get if any one tries to get near to Anika after wedding.

After todays episode SSO needs a good trashing from his family members. I think Pinky, Dadi and his brothers would kill him after knowing the truth about the wedding.

Nice post!!

The only thing I liked about today's episode was the acting! It was brilliant - the fear was so real, at first when that girl left and I saw the look on Shivaay's face, his eyes burning with anger and desperation and when Annika came out of the room I was literally praying "Please don't!" knowing what would come after.
And then when the real show began - Shivaay's rage, Annika's shock, disgust, fear - it was too palpable today. Kudos to the actors for portraying each emotion so perfectly!

I like to think somewhere Shivaay's actions are justified to his character - he really is the same SSO who said you don't want to see the bad side of me, who tried to break Annika in every way he could, even tried to take away her lawyer who was fighting for her brother's custody, her money, her house.

The only difference is Annika fought back then - and he lost every single time. So it really wasn't too bad.

Today it hurt coz Annika had to take it all without a word.
She was too shocked and scared to respond in any way.
But nevertheless, SSO is the same ruthless, evil man as before, in my opinion.

Anyway, I don't know what GK has in store for us but as long as we have such actors who understand the soul of the story and act out so beautifully, I think I can watch anything they throw our way.

Bruhhh though, that quote is just one step above "Grab 'em by the *****" I'm actually going to chunder.

Urghhh.

It's like Mills & Boon/ Harlequin novels but whereas those books usually give the ML one hell of a redemption arc... 4Lions shows just rely on their Devi Ji FLs to just get over it and forgive and forget.

My only hope is that Anika is not one to forgive or forget so easily and so finally we may get a satisfying redemption arc in one of these shows.

FINGERS CROSSED (but cautious optimism tempered). 😆

You will definitely enjoy Wodehouse. It's on my phone in the relaxation reading section.

Of course that quote taken as it is is misleading.

I have yet to see the episode, will do so tomorrow. Just watching for the performances 😊

I remember 2 of GulKhan's Insta posts -
1. Hate is probably the purest form of love (or some crap like that)
2. Bad is the new Good

Today I do feel like we live in the Kaliyug. And true to that fact, we definitely know that Shivaay will get away with this. He is the "hero" after-all.

Come to think of it, the show is turning out to be extremely practical with no sugar coating. Scary as it may be, maybe that is the Nayisoch. Life is not a fairy-tale... so why should the TV show be one?

Sickened by what happened today. No hopes whatsoever. But so were the initial few episodes. So, I guess we wait and watch

I don't think that redemption is something Shivaay is expecting or preparing for. I think he has deliberately and knowingly walked into a future where there will be no Anika who will be there for him.

That way, he can stop being conflicted about having feelings for a girl who he is philosophically against having feelings for?

That way, he will be safe and cosy in his old familiar world and space and never be in the horrible situation where he has been since Anika came into his life and he started saying Anika words and having Anika thoughts. Ever since he started becoming more common and less khandaani?

(I really must watch the episode with the dialogues before writing so much about it, damnit! 😆)

That's a very interesting thought...and quite possibly true too especially given that Shivvay wants to only listen to his mind right now...the dil is out of the question all together for now.

However, it's his DIL, that will majboor him to change...because he won't be able to stay away from her, her goodness, her love. Granted this won't happen instantly, but it will, and when it does...he will LOVE like no other. They say "the BIGGER you are, the HARDER you fall"...and fall in love he will...irrevocably!

Excellently written post. Just got around to reading it and have pages of discussion to catch up on. But have to say that yes, it was Nakuul and Surbhi's acting that was the saving grace today. It wasn't romantic. It was outright horrible and terror-inducing. Abuse like that is not redeemable. And they played it like that. There was no attempt to show passion or even compassion (like I hate myself for doing this to you but I am compelled by forces beyond me kind of crap).

Because I agree.

My heart soared at the O Jaana. "OMG." I thought, "HE'S FIGURED IT OUT. HE KNOWS ANIKA IS INNOCENT AND THAT DAKSH IS A CREEPY LITTLE JIZZPIPE."

And then he looked up.
And my heart stopped.
And all I could think was just "Anika omg RUN."

What was he thinking during that O Jaana?

I wish that he had been less violent towards her in the immediate aftermath. I wish he had been less cruel. I wish there had been so much as a trace of conflict or remorse in Shivaay's face after he physically and emotionally abused Anika... because then perhaps I could let myself believe he was doing it for her. To, in his own weird twisted way, save her.

But I don't think he is. Shivaay, for all that he is a beast, cannot and will not hurt anyone he loves. It's probably why he stayed silent about what he thought Anika and Daksh did until this moment where his control snapped, why he hurt himself instead of saying anything or doing anything to hurt or upset her by calling her dignity or morals into question.

You know, if Nakuul had shown so much as a hint of guilt or regret (and we all know him NOT showing any was definitely a deliberate choice because good LORD can that man use his khanji aankhein to EMOTE), I would be 100% agreeing with you. But for now, I'm going to err on the side of caution and assume the O Jaana was him letting himself relive his love for Anika one last time before completely shutting it down to do what he did next.

The last time Shivaay was able to treat Anika this was was when he truly hated her. I'd like to think that for even a semblance of consistency, he is back to treating her this way because he truly hates (or at least believes he does) her again. Still though, what a way to COMPLETELY UNDO OVER A HUNDRED EPISODES WORTH OF DEVELOPMENT WITH ONE UPWARDS LOOK. 😆

Also lol yeah, what happened to all the OBro bonding pls? Like how does the baby they apparently love so much manage to get kidnapped and NEITHER notices until the houseguest points it out like yelolkthxbyewriters??????

You may not agree, but i just wanted to add two cents here...

@ red - Even the last time...he didn't hate ANNIKA...he hated the concept of a lower class girl in his orbit...he didn't even deem her worthy to be near him or his family. And to top it all off, he got it in his head that she sold the CHIP about TejLana to the media...so she was the recipient of his RAGE, his ANGER...especially given that Om tried to commit suicide after the chip aired.

@ blue - Shivvay doesn't intend or mean to hurt those he loves, but that doesn't mean that he doe not in fact hurt them. Take the case with Priyanka/Dev rishta. He was so obsessed with Dev being najayez, that in full rage and anger, he broke off the rishta without giving 2 thoughts to how vested his sister was already in that relationship...and breaking the rishta hurt Priyanka a lot. So, even though his intention was not to hurt Prinku, he did in fact hurt her a lot.

So you see...his ANGER and RAGE has negative ramifications for all those in his vicinity...even those whom he loves.

Yep! unfortunately we all know this is possible in real life for so many girls. That is why Annika needs to be the 'Hero' for a positive impact. I did see a spoiler of the so called 'suhagraat'. That is no cowering, crying, sniffling Khushi there and I am so gald to see that. Sure she is scared out of her wits being alone in the room with this man playing his diabolic sadistic mind games with her but the brave face she has on makes me want to give her a tight hug and kiss her ... 🤗
She is my official 'Brave heart' ❤️

All i can say is... He flipping lost it.
This is Shivaay Singh Oberoi. The ruthless, cold, unemotional and like you said evil
There is really is no justification apart from the fact that the slap triggered the sleeping monster and all the frustration, doubts, insecurity and anger came pouring out terrifying Annika and us. He actually made me cringe and recoil back today. Gul better have a Good , long and satisfying grovelling track ready, cause no way is a character like Annika and us are going to forgive or forget this any time soon.
I so wish he'd been less cruel, less evil, more Annika's Shivaay than The Shivaay Singh Oberoi. Alas, that would've totally bellied the character.
Oh well I'm ready. For a smack down from Annika.

Make his life a living, breathing hell. Make him look back at this day and cringe and fall at your feet for forgiveness 😆
